Automator workflow question

I have a lot of saved Web pages that I had liked to convert to PDF format.  A solution is: get the URLS specified > URL for download in PDF format.  I can add each this way for the first part, but I have so that this one will be a lot of time.

If I have several tabs open, is it a reasonably simple way to obtain the URL of each tab in the workflow at the same time before you download them in PDF format?

Thanks in advance.

This web site allows you to make the conversion by email.

  • Automating Lightroom question

    Hello-

I need to create an automated workflow where an image is saved in a folder open automatically in LR, processed, exported to Photoshop, manipulated in Photoshop and then overdubbed in LR. I have everything worked (control folder, presets, droplets), except that I am unable to find a way to save the file while in Photoshop so that the workflow is exactly as if I had manually pressed cmd + E in LR, edited in Photoshop and then you press on save in Photoshop. Any ideas?

Could someone help me with one more nagging question: LR can run an Applescript script so that when it opens the file, it treats and then automatically exported in Photoshop, without me hitting one key?

I am trying to automate a workflow of capture that requires Photoshop.

    Fine thanks

    -Mitch

I think that in this case, Lightroom is just slow to update. The correct information is present and available. If you leave the exported folder open in the grid, it can up to date on its own. If this isn't the case, it will be there after a reboot.

  • An automator workflow is running, and I'm not.

Years, I wrote an Automator workflow to rename the files that I placed on the desktop. Now, I want to get rid of this workflow, but I can't find it anywhere! It runs whenever something happens to my office, and I want to remove it. When it runs, a dialog box appears on the screen, requiring me to give the new file a name; In addition, gear wheel appears in the toolbar. If I click on the spinning gear, he says "DeskTopMove.workflow", which I suppose is the name of the workflow. I always just CANCEL the workflow in the dialog box now.

I searched for each file ".workflow" I have (it's only about 5 or 6 on my computer), and it does not appear. Neither is it a file anywhere called "DeskTopMove.workflow."

I used the Terminal to show all 'hidden' files and did the research above, with the same (bad) results.

Can someone help me get rid of this ghost workflow? Thank you!

    1. in the Finder, please make a right click or Ctrl-click the icon for any folder. In the context menu, select

▹ Folder Actions of installation services...

Folder Actions Setup window should appear with a beautiful leaf. Click Cancel to close the sheet. Uncheck the box marked

    Enable Folder Actions

    2. If you do not see the menu item, it can an icon in the menu bar at the top of the screen resembling a scroll shaped S. click on this icon and a menu will fall. From there, select

Folder Actions ▹ disable folder Actions

3 test cycle. If the problem is resolved and you want to continue to use Folder Actions, you may be able to identify one of them as the culprit, by a process of elimination.

  • Workflow question

I have a question and I would be very interested to hear the opinions of experienced users.

When you create a montage composed of many individual scenes the typical workflow would be to have a project and begins to run accumulate all the scenes or create projects for each scene and then bring them all together later.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Mark,

You can create different locations to organize your clips at import and then just create a new sequence for each 'scene' that you want to work, so really you have just several chronologies by tabs that you can switch between. The sequences will be returned as elements in the tray and can be moved to a timeline. So just "assemble" the finished scenes assemble you clips in a timeline. Nice, it works! I'm going to break big marriages in Preps, ceremony, Park, front desk, for example, Recap and then just put it all together at the end for export.

    Glad I could help

    Thank you

  • workflow question and professional license

My client needs to convert his plate Group print in a digital version of its Web site and tablets for its sales team on iPad. I have two questions:

    I have some questions:

    (1) Wich Workflow its the best for Web site and the digital edition at the same time?

-Creation of a folio integrating content (text / images / animations) for digital publishing

-Integration of a file of the same folio HTML so that the customer has the HTML version of its Web site.

    (2) if I enter a HTML file, if I do it in Adobe Muse, will it work in all browsers especially on IE 9 to 11, Mozilla, Chrome?

    (3) PURCHASE PROFESSIONAL LICENSE?

Knowing that I don't have enough money to invest now in a license, he's very smart, the printer company takes this license for a single publication?

    (3) USE

Or if my customer (communication agency) buys a professional Adobe DPS license, is limited to a publication there or they could publish to several different customers? In other words, the use of the Professional license that is valid for several clients at the same time (in mono-folio or multifolio) or a single client?

You already have another post about your first and second questions, someone will probably answer them in this other post.

    3. Yes, it is possible (and probably better) than your customer to buy the license for DPS directly instead of you, since it is their publication.

    4. the license they buy will allow them to create an application for a publication. If they want to create additional applications for additional publications they will pay an additional fee for each application they create. It's okay if it's their application or application they create for someone else.

  • Custom workflow - Question of API

I am trying to create a custom workflow that requires two trusts (in parallel) at the level of the operation. Approval is a member of a static organization called App managers, the other is responsible for the applicant user. My question is what do I do to create such a flow of work?

    I have read this document:

    http://www.Oracle.com/WebFolder/technetwork/tutorials/OBE/FMW/OIM/oim_11g/developing_oim_custom_approval_process_for_self_registration/developing_oim_custom_approval_process_for_self_registration.PDF

But I need to the approval workflow of level automatic query, against having a system of directors select the Organization issue.

In addition, in order to find the applicant user's Manager, what should I do? Is the change in the java custom code in Appendix A? If so, are there that documents more detailed for the IOM API? I've been able to locate the 9g API doc.

Thank you for your help in advance.

Creating the level of approval of application policy, you can set it for automatic approval.

To find the User Manager you need to perform a search using thor/IOM api, then get "Users.Manager Login" attribute. Here are the highlights

    tcUserOperationsIntf moUserUtulity = getIOUtilityFactory.getUtility (...);
    Hashtable MhSearchCriteria = new Hashtable();
    mhSearchCriteria.put ("Users.User ID", username);
    tcresult moResultset = (mhSearchCriteria) moUserUtulity.findUsers;

    for (int i = 0; i)< moresultset.getrowcount();="" i++)="">

    moResultSet.goToRow (i);
    String userManager = moResultSet.getStringValue ("Users.Manager Login");

    }

    Hope this helps,

  • Workflow question... Manual + Digital: is it possible?

    Hello world

Workflow adobe sign is possible to include manual signatures and digital signatures?

If I'm in a workflow of those who refuse to make a digital signature, is it possible to create a step where they sign a paper document? I guess the way to proceed is route first at all ready to do digital signatures and end with those who will sign a paper copy.

Thank you for the hints, tips, steps, links to how-to resources, and in general for advice what ever the community offers.

    George B

    Hi GRBradford,

Suppose that there are 3 signatories of the document Signer1 (sign of electronics), signing2 (sign in manually) and Signer3 (sign of electronics).

Now that you have configured the document on the page sending entering the signers e-mail address in the order that you want them to sign documents and the rhythm of the Signature fields on the document for all signatories.

Signer1 will receive the document for Signature, he clicks on the link in the email to sign the document.

Now, signing2 will receive the document for Signature, signer will not click on the link to sign the document and print it and download the document on the system. He will sign the document manually and then scan the document and send it by e-mail.

Now, you download the signed document manually in your Adobe account sign on behalf of the signatory, go to manage - > select your document Out to the signature, click history-> click on download signed copy to download the document.

Once the above steps are made for the 2nd signatory process is completed and the document is sent to the signatory 3rd for signature.

Feel free to contact us if you have queries or concern.

    Kind regards

  • LR Workflow question (external hard drive)

    Hello world

I just started to really use LR correctly and love it. I am currently using structures of folders on my mac, at importation and his good work, however I only have a small HD on my mac so ideally want to move some of the files to an external hard drive. My question is what is the best way to do this? I understand that I can move the folder to an external hard drive, but is it the right way to do because my collection will then be shared between two places and some not saved if that makes sense?

I have attached a screenshot so I hope it makes more sense

    Screen Shot 2016-03-15 at 20.19.59.png

To move the pictures to a different HD:

    1. In your operating system, (STILL) COPY photos to a new HD, keep the entire unchanged file hierarchy
    2. In Lightroom, do a right-click on the top-level folder and select the location of the update folder and then point to the new location of the top-level (parent) folder
    3. When you are 100% sure that it worked correctly, you can remove photos on the original hard drive.

More details and screenshots, are found in part 2 of this document: Adobe Lightroom - find folders and files moved or missing

Related issue: most of the people do not take the photos exported, not only it saves hard drive space, but it's less work than the export of all

  • Copy comments to vCO Workflow question

I'm having some trouble with the copy of the client to a workflow of vCO (library > vCenter > operations > files > copy of comments to vCO).  I followed all the instructions on how to configure a local access on the file system of vCO, but I can't make it work for write access (note: read is very good I can make a copy OF vCO to guest with success).  In addition, I can get this working with native directories listed in the file js - io - rights.conf (meaning, all except the two new entries at the bottom of the file js - io - rights.conf below).

    # cat /etc/vco/app-server/js-io-rights.conf

    -rwx /.

    + rwx/var/run/vco /.

    -rwx/etc/vco/app-server/security /.

    + rx/etc/vco /.

    + rx/var/log/vco /.

    + rwx/nfs/repo /.

    + rwx/repo/nfs/exports.

The permissions are set exactly the same, for example, like/var/run/vco:

    drwx - 2 vco vco 4096 Oct 5 14:55 / var/run/vco

    drwx - 2 vco vco 4096 Sep 29 14:22 / nfs/repo

The error I get when running workflow is "permission is denied" see below the exact error:

/ nfs/repo (Permission denied) (workflow: copy of the file of comments to the vCO / Scriptable task (item1) #10)

Finally, I have restarted the services vRO/vCO, and in desperation, restarted the unit several times but still no go.

    Any help is appreciated!

I checked it on the device with the same version and had no problems. You can check that the "vco" user have permissions on the folder /nfs off/nfs/repo

  • Add a PowerShell host workflow question

    Hello people,

I ran into a problem when I tried to run the add a workflow host Powershell.

Here's what I've done so now...

Installed PowerShell plugin in the system of the vCO.

WinRM service that is configured according to the doc in my vCO server... I want to use the same vCO as a powershell host server too...

I created the krb5.conf file in the installation of vCO location mentioned in the doc.

Ran the workflow manage SSL certificates which was a success.

Now I have to add this as a host of powershell to see in the inventory which fails with the error below.

Connection timed out: connect (name of the dynamic Script Module: addPowerShellHost #16)

    Your help is very appreciated!

    Kind regards

    VMSavvy

    1. I suggest to add "-a: option of the Kerberos test to connect to the winrm service" This will ensure that the mechanisym of Kerberos authentication is used.

    > winrm identity-r:https:// host_name : port_number -was: Kerberos-sup: user_name Pei:password

    2. try to connect vCO PowerShell plugin using shared session and providing user specifiv credentials (but be sure first that this user has enough privileges to connect to the WinRm service using winrm client)

    > winrm identity-r:https:// host_name : port_number -was: Kerberos-sup: user_name Pei:password

    3. could you give the error reported in vCO?

  • Color grading workflow question

Lets say I want to color grade my Final Cut project, should I rank each RAW has clips individually then FCP edit? If you rank each RAW file would not take too much time since I use only a part of the raw clip? or do I have to import this project FCP together, under the leadership, to the rank of sequels? How you color grade each individual clip when after effects recognize your Assembly as a single item?

Traditionally, the color adjustment is the last step of a project before final delivery.

The reasons: any other way to train a lot useless AE make time and disk space excessive to store redundant images.

It IS possible to do as you wish.

Just make sure you have 1) time and 2) storage to your workflow preferences.

  • Basic workflow questions

I have several videos (.mov files) and photos that I would like to string together into one video.  I will also add an audio track and a few alterations, which will mainly be text that introduces the next section of the video.  If it wasn't for the text, I would probably all in first but I do not know what way to go today.  What type of workflow would be better to achieve this?

If you add only simple text, and you are familiar with the first, then I would just do the first work. If you are looking for a more complicated for the text effect, or you want to use After Effects for some other reasons, the workflow (Simplified) would then involve:

    • import of assets
    • creating a publication
    • sequencing of the asset within the chronology of this composition
    • Add your text layers (animation as needed)
    • rendering
    • compression (if necessary)

If you're new to After Effects, check out the blog of Todd on some tips on putting on the road.

  • Correct workflow question. 1080 p to 720 p?

Since my last camera only shoots in 1080 p and I want a 720 p for web export, what is the procedure to follow? I edit on a 1080 p (without rendering) timeline and export 720 p. Or do I have to change on a 720 p (needs rendering) timeline. What people do you recommend?

    Thank you.

    Tom

EEdit in 1080 unless you want to use the 720 for cropping.

  • two editors working on the same project on fcp 7: workflow question

    Hi all!

I am new to fcp (I'm more familiar with media deal) and I'll edit a project that has already been worked on FCP.

shot mainly in 7 d over a long period of time, the whole material was converted to prores 422 format and is now about 15 TB of hard drive space. the project has been "divided" into several fcp projects (say that each project covers a period of shooting, and then there are several other who only have changes).

I would like to be able to work in parallel with other chronologies, editor-in-Chief and Exchange.

My idea is to recompress the projects that correspond to each period of shooting (it's where are the main elements) in prores proxy format and try to reconnect with modifications to those projects. in this way I intend to gather all the material in a 5 TB harddrive and I guess that the time I get to the other editor will reconnect easily. This hypothesis is correct? any ideas?

each piece of advice will be highly appreciated!

    Thank you

    Nikos.

Reissue of links, it's a matter of getting your labelling may file storage to match, if you do not change the actual disks, then it should be easy, if you have a single folder renamed path, because it is on a different drive, which quickly rebuilt too.  Relating to raw images.  Once you begin to break things down or work with proxy images, it becomes much more complicated.  I made the mistake of building a project larger than that, with sequences RED proxy files, with the same name in different folders.  What a nightmare to purge old proxies of the final edit (not the name of the product).  Now work with strips of first generation full resolution will work until you need a handful, then you're back in brute.

Merge a calendar works well but the initial transfer of a project to tends to screw up.  Save after each keystroke, seriously.

  • workflow question (color grading)

IM pretty new to lightroom, but I really like

IM using this batch to retouch photos of nightclub that I take the weekend, 240 photos every week.

I'm using lightroom for nightclub batch edit photos, I correct them and apply colors logo and resize

However, there is a shade of color I want to apply to the photos, the only way I know to do is to use the curves on photoshop plugin

the problem is I change large amounts of photos and having to put in photoshop is going against the intuitive

is it possible that I can do it all in one step?  for example, all in lightroom somehow important or imitating the effect I applied in photoshop

the grade that i apply essentially is just increase the blue shadows and taking blue on the middle range to keep the hot skintones, while blacks, black

    IMG_0182--.jpgIMG_0182.jpg

Discover the tone curve Panel to develop. It has the curves of RGB you should be able to achieve this effect with. If you don't see the RGB option, click the tiny curved downwards to the right of the Panel until you see the RGB option next to the canal and then you can choose blue from there.
