AutoPlay video in interactive pdf format

I have an interactive pdf with embedded video. PDF is made by InDesign and has the mark of 'playing the loading of the Page '. It works normally on computers Windows different DC Acrobat Reader and Acrobat Reader 11: video starts automatically after the page loads. But on some other computers Windows with Acrobat Reader 11this does not work, and the user must press the "play" button to start the video.

The file is not protected.

What could be a reason for this strange situation? What can we do?

I created show and hide features in InDesign I want to export to interactive PDF format. These functions work when seen in Acrobat on the desktop, but not on iPad/Tablet - why?

Why? Most likely because the PDF Viewer on the Tablet is too stupid to deal with show/hide functionality.

You could try PDF Expert of Readdle on qpdf Notes Pro on Android and iOS devices.

Depending on how the show/hide was created during the export of InDesign, it can work in viewers. Otherwise, you will need to open PDF files in Acrobat and edit features show/hide something more digests of PDF device viewers.

BTW, you will encounter the same issues with the PDF display components in web browsers.

    I hope this can help.

  • Streaming video to interactive PDF

I read everything I can on this subject, and although it seems that I should be able to do, I couldn't so far to make it work!

My dilemma: Create an interactive PDF to InDesign CS6, and I would include links to various video streaming in the pdf.  I would like that they are running in the PDF (as a floating window), not going out to the web browser to users.  I would like people to read, and then play that their new if they wish to listen, aka, loop, I guess.

My attempts: I created the play button (to start the video) in InD and when I exported in PDF format, I tried to put the video up there.  I had minimal success with this route.  I have also tried to do all this directly in InD, including the link to the video, but had no success.

I downloaded two different Flash players for replacement and tried to make two of them work, but without real success.  However, I admit well that I'm not as technically savy as what they expect, because I don't really understand the whole of the party "do this in Java.  I tried to copy their stuff of script in and replace my info where I've seen it do, but apparently, there are other ongoing things that I don't get.

Help!  If anyone has any suggestions, I'd be very happy.  Or even if there is a place you can fly me to learn how to do it, I'll go.  So far, most of the stuff has been programmatically over my head, although I'm not a new user to the Creative Suite, unfortunately, it was all impression.

There is currently a limitation in the way that InDesign CS6 implements rich media, as well as the floating window options are not available if the media asset is referenced with a URL (there is no technical reason why it wouldn't work and it may well be possible in a future version of InDesign, but I make no promises). You also can not work around the problem by placing the SWF player widget, as InDesign doesn't let you define FlashVars or attach resources to an annotation of media.

Yes, in your case it would be more effective to work on the videos in a separate vacuum if you do not trawl by a too complex structure tag, then copy / paste them in the actual file.

In terms of the marking system forum, that a response can be "correct", but several can be 'useful '. It's your choice as to which is which.

  • Set up vimeo or youtube video in interactive PDF InDesign CC

    Hello!

I've read several articles about it but can't find a way to solve this problem:

, I have created an interactive PDF using InDesign CC and I would like to embed vimeo and youtube videos to play directly in the file. When I insert the URL does not work because it starts by https:// (not http://). Deletion of obviously the doe "s" does not solve the problem because he says it's not compatible with Flash Player.

Is there anyway that I can fix this?

I decided to create an interactive PDF only because I wanted to be able to integrate online videos!

You can not. Several years ago YouTube was a Flash API for direct playback of video integrated inside a SWF file of parent (the only way to do it in a PDF file), but it also allowed the population to ignore advertising, so they we closed. The current API only supports the incorporation of HTML for web pages.

The URL 'embed' to sites like YouTube and Vimeo is a link to their web page, not the video file itself (legally you can't link directly to the video stream so I will not explain how it could be done). Acrobat video player will not accept a URL that points to the video file or a stream RTMP connector, that's why the URL must end with a valid extension like ".mp4."

    The only options are:

    1. Stir all of the video file in the PDF - assuming you have a copy, and have the right to publish it. Easier to do, but the size of the file can be a problem.
    2. Host the video file on your own website and put the HTTP link in the annotation dialog box (simple but anyone can download a copy, is not safe).
    3. Listen to the file using Adobe Media Server (course but very expensive).
  • Problem when exporting InDesign file in interactive PDF format...

Hello, I am trying to export my file InDesign CC single page PDF interactive. This file contains a .swf file & a single Mp4 video file, a text, a background image. When I export to interactive PDF, I get this message « one or more interactive elements are cut in a way that cannot reproduce the files PDF.» These elements will be adjusted in the exported PDF file '.» If I save the file without taking into account this message, in my final PDF everything works except one thing, I'm losing the video controls. What should I do to get these video controls appear?

    Your help is very appreciated!

Do you have video controls on the Panel of the media? Do you have the video preview in the Panel of the media? Notice in the Preview SWF? He saw in the preview of interactivity EPUB (if you have InDesign CC 2014)?

I use the trial version of InDesign CS6 on a mac OSX 10.7.4 that I need to export my document as an interactive PDF. I found that the export works very well as long as none of the objects in my document were a shadow. However, if I add a shadow to any object (text, images or video) InDesign will crash when I try to export. I'm adding the shadow by selecting the object and choosing object > Effects > drop shadow. Is there another method I should use to add shade if I want to export to an interactive PDF?

I added a GIF animated in my INDD file and can see the animation in the preview of the EPUB, but when I export and open the interactive PDF file, the image is static.

  • Can I create a 'share' in interactive PDF format button?

    Hello

I would like to create a 'share' in an interactive PDF button. I want to set so that when the reader clicks on the 'share' button, it opens a window in their e-mail client, with the PDF file as an attachment. Is this possible? I don't want to use all the social media channels to share the PDF file, only through their customer e-mail as an attachment.

    Thank you

    Ross

Yes, in the event the mouse to the top of the button, select an action to "Submit a form" and specify a URL of type mailto as:

    mailto:[email protected]

Don't forget to use lower case for "mailto" and do not include any spaces. Select the entire PDF file to include, as opposed to FDF/XFDF/HTML.

  • 'Click to activate' in interactive PDF format

I create a document using InDesign and exporting then out as an interactive PDF file. Whenever someone sliders on a support of files within the PDF file, a message pop up (like a ToolTip) that says "click to activate".

Anyone know how I can remove this message? I did a little research and came not with a large part (though I saw a few recommendations for Javascript and IE).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can not. The "Click to activate" ToolTip (and also all THE ToolTips in Acrobat and Adobe Reader) are fixed. You cannot change what they say, nor can you turn them off.

  • InDesign published site in interactive PDF format

Hi guys I am wondering if anyone can help?

I created a base for my father Web site, however, I want people to be able to click on the 'click here' BUTTON and it takes them to an interactive PDF that they fill in their details on.

You can see the site if it makes it easier to www.cheapaparcels.com (the site is ONLY intended for a small community of people Spain Costa Blanca, Iam so does not do free advertising).

I connected the button to a PDF (which is on my PC) but of course, it does not work when uploaded.

Can someone point me in the right direction as to how to achieve?

    Thank you very much

You must download the PDF and the link to the location on the web server.

  • Function similar to the States of SWF objects in interactive PDF format

Is it possible, through the use of maybe text anchors and hyperlinks, to perform a function similar to the States of SWF objects in an interactive PDF?  I hope that there is a clever way to allow end users to press a button that could hide/show page content in an interactive PDF file.  I have experimented with a number of things without success and was curious to know if the users of the forum know a solution.

    See you soon,.

    Steve

You must use the functions of hide show with buttons. Not nearly simple as WHO, but it works.

The content that would be show/hide would need to be converted into buttons to make it work.
