Thank you for you answer.

You should be fine.  PSE14 is available in 32-bit as 64-bit and you can install it on two machines at the same time.

Good luck.

  • Flash Professional CC is no longer available for 32 bit?

    Hi all...

I bought a subscription for the creative cloud and some applications of the suite (Photoshop CC, CC Illustrator, InDesign CC, CC of Dreamweaver and Muse CC) downloaded, but the single available for download Flash Professional is the CS6, not the CC version. I guess that Flash Pro in CC is only available for 64-bit processors. No chance to get a 32-bit version?

    Thanks for your comments...

Flash Pro CC requires a 64 bit OS. Here are the system requirements:

If you are 32-bit, you will need to not use Flash CS6.

  • Generic connectivity for 64-bit 10 g 2 on Windows

I want to create a link of database from a Windows oracle database to SQL Server 2005. The obvious solution seemed to be generic connectivity using HSODBC.

However, I have not HDODBC. EXE in my oracle 64-bit home.

Doing some research, it seems that HSODBC has never been provided/made supported on 64-bit windows, and the solution is to use the 11g gateways installed in another House and use DGODBC. EXE.

    Is this correct?

HSODBC was free with 10g. Is DGODBC still free, or should I license it as a product of the bridge?

    Hi Jim,.
Yes, that's correct. You can use DG4ODBC 11.2, which is the product of the follow-up HSODBC and is now available for 64-bit Windows.
As HSODBC product tracking DG4ODBC is still free.

You can get the latest version of the portal software "My Oracle Support" - look for the 11.2.0.2 patch group: 10098816: 11.2.0.2.0 PATCH SET FOR ORACLE DATABASE SERVER and make sure that you have selected the Group of fixes 64-bit Windows
The Oracle gateway software can be found in p10098816_112020_platform_5of7.zip.
Download this CD and install the gateway software in its own Oracle_home.

According to the doc to install to http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E11882_01/install.112/e10843/reqs.htm#CHDHGGFE, it will be available.

Maybe now everyone knows that this will soon be available, they took the opportunity to get ready to read the documentation and understand the new method of installation and system requirements.

Some of the important things to think about (especially for students who absolutely need to get this working on Windows7 Home) who read the docs a priority:

    (1) ASM is now part of the Clusterware. Yes you need to download and install the clusterware "Oracle Restart" first. THIS WILL CHANGE A BASIC CONFIG. To challenge your OCP certification exam, you will need to learn some EAMA (http://education.oracle.com/pls/web_prod-plq-dad/db_pages.getpage?page_id=41&p_exam_id=1Z0_053), so you'll need a sound machine;

    (2) you MUST use uninstall it (separate download) to remove any part of GR 11, 2 (ASM/Clusterware/database)

    (3) database requires a minimum of 1 GB and the ASM/restart needs a minimum of 1 GB of RAM. Together, they need about 10 GB of disk.

    (4) the documents are really important now. Once finished reading the installation guide, Windows DBA should consider reading the 'Guide Platform for Windows"at http://www.oracle.com/pls/db112/portal.portal_db?selected=4&frame=#unix_and_windows_database_administration that contains information of extraordinary administration.

  • Are 64-bit OS drivers available for Satellite Pro U400 PSU45E

I am looking for a Pro U400 PSU45E-00D005EN, which comes with 3 GB of RAM.
The specs say it can take up to 8 GB, which is something that I would like to upgrade to.

I run a large number of virtual machines on my machine for purposes of development and support.

Anyone know if Toshiba allow 64-bit drivers the U400 that I need a 64-bit to support all Windows operating system that is more than 3.2 Gb of RAM.
If not, is there a repository that anyone uses?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello

I think the Vista 64 bit drivers will be available by the Satellite Pro U400.
Vista OS 64-bit drivers are available for another series of Toshiba and I don t see why the pilots shouldn't t be available satellite Pro U400 too many serious reasons.

But the satellite Pro U400 seems to be very new series and I think it will take some time until that pilots will be released.

  • XD - bit (CPU function) disabled/not available for Satellite A100-PSAA9

Last week, I bought the laptop Toshiba Satellite A100-847 (Satellite A100-SPAA9) which has an Intel Core 2 Duo, model T7200.

Specifications Intel, this processor (as all Core and Core 2 processors) has the particularity of XD - bit, known in Windows like DEP. I had the unpleasant surprise to discover that this feature is
reported by Windows as unavailable (in hardware). I got the electronic manual on the recovery CD (which is an edition that is older than the printed manual that comes in the package) that I can do this feature
available (for some older models of Satellite) but I couldn't find any option in my BIOS to do this (my BIOS is made by Phoenix, version 2.0).

I really want to know how to make this feature available/active as my processor socket and so is the operating system purchased with the laptop and more than that, this feature is something beneficial - specially designed for security reasons and supported by all modern processors and operating systems.
What do I have to wait for an updated BIOS include this option (to activate the feature XD bit) or that it is automatically set as active/available (instead of disabled/not available)?

I expect a well documented answer from someone who knows what I'm talking about.

    Thank you very much.

    Hello

I know what you're talking about.
Execute Disable Bit (xD-bit) Intel can help prevent certain malicious types of buffer overflow attacks when combined with a compatible operating system.
Disabling malware code procedure is called the extension-> short adj. data protection

Data Execution Prevention (DEP) helps prevent damage from viruses and other security threats that attack by running (executing) malicious code of the locations of memory that Windows and other programs should use. This type of threat causes damage by taking over one or more locations of memory used by a program. Then she spreads and harms other programs, files, and even your email contacts.

Unlike an antivirus program or firewall, DEP does not prevent harmful programs from being installed on your computer. Instead, it monitors your programs to determine if they use the system safely memory. To do this, DEP software works alone or with compatible microprocessors to mark some memory locations as "non-executable".

If a program tries to run malicious code or not a protected location, DEP closed the program and notifies you.
DEP can take advantage of software and hardware support. To use DEP, your computer must be running Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2) or later version, or Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1 or later version. Software only DEP helps protect against certain types of malware attacks, but to take full advantage of the protection DEP can offer, your processor must support "execution protection".

The Windows 32 bit (SP2) version supports bit off Execute (xD) so the computer function notebook processor is running in mode of extension (PEA) physical address.
It is a technology based on hardware designed to mark the locations of memory as non-executable.
If your processor doesn't support hardware DEP, you need to upgrade a processor that offers execution protection features.

However, you can see the control panel-> system-> Advanced tab-> Performance settings-> Data Execution Prevention tab.

By default, DEP is enabled only for essential Windows operating system programs and services. In order to protect more programs with DEP, select turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select.

Now, we would like to install (Oracle Warehouse Builder) OWB 11g R2 (11.2.0.1.0) compatible for Windows Server 2008 (64-bit). Can anyone suggest if OWB 11 GR 2 is able to support * 64-Bit Windows Server 2008 *?

I don't know if this is the right place within the Forum to post this question, so please direct me to the Group of concern (OWB).

Appreciate your support. Thanks in advance.

You should check the installation guide and the release notes for more information. You can also turn to MOS, if you have access to support, for the certification of product/platform.

    Hello

I doubt that web sites use the widget 'Check now' to check the latest version of Flash Player.  Content providers more to define their content to use a specific version of Flash, especially if this version contains some features that they use in their game/application, not necessarily the most recent version.  One option is to use Google Chrome which incorporates Flash Player and use the latest major version (21).  PPAPI plugin is also supported on Ubuntu for Chrome browsers (Opera, for example).  If you use Ubuntu and are not opposed to the opera, it is another option.

  • Windows 7 64 bit receives updates for 32 bit

My new laptop runs Windows 7 64 bit and I check the available updates automatically downloaded before I install them.  I noticed that some updates specify 32-bit... and when I read more about the Microsoft Windows 7 update, it shows the same update also for 64 bit and the file is a slightly different name.

Example today: KB982726 update has been downloaded and has written for 32-bit and the name of the file is "office2010-kb982726-fulfile-x 86-glb.exe" but the KB982726 that says for 64 bit has a file name of "office2010-kb982726-fulfile-x 64-glb.exe.

Most of the updates, I've been automatically downloaded do specify 64-bit, but I wonder if I need to start checking all the 32-bit downloads sent to me for a version 64 bit and install instead, manually.

When there is a "64-bit version" of an update... and... since I get other updates to 64 bit, why do I automatically would receive the "32-bit version" of these updates?
