  • Satellite A500 - video/dvd player is not compatible with Windows 10

After having recently updated of my laptop for windows 10 I discovered that the dvd player does not work. A message is displayed informing that the player is not compatible with this version of windows. A scan using Norton suggests dvd will not work because it needs to be configured.

Does anyone else have this problem?

Obviously, Toshiba DVD playback application that is preinstalled on this Satellite A500 model is not compatible with the system Windows 10.

In this case this software will not properly work after the upgrade to win 10 and I guess you have to remove the system Win 10.

Unfortunately, the Satellite A500 is not listed as Win 10 portable computers and so I don't think you will get an update to this software for DVD playback.

  • Satellite A110: I want to play a DVD but it says: not compatible

    Hi I have a question.
I have a toshiba satellite a110. But when I want to play a dvd, it says:
    is not compatible...
    :(

Can't watch movies, how to... :(

I have installed some software dvd - ram also uninstalled, restarted the laptop.

    Someone?

    Hello

Are you using the Windows operating system that has been preinstalled on the A110 Sat?
AFAIK almost all Toshiba laptops come with WinDVD program.
I also assume the Sat A110 supports this software and you must use it to play the DVD s.

One question; What DVD did you play? An original or a copy?
The portable DVD Player supports different DVD region code settings.

Please check if the region code that was chosen on the CD/DVD drive supports your DVD media!

For example; you will not be able to play the DVD we s if the region has been set for region 2

    Hi the prey,

    ·         What is the brand and model of the computer?

You should check the settings of the computer BIOS (Basic Input\Output System) to boot from the CD/DVD. Check the manual or the support of the computer Web site for the same.

Note: Be careful when you change the BIOS settings. The BIOS interface is designed for advanced users, and it is possible to change a setting that can prevent your computer from starting properly.

While recently playing a dvd, I got a message saying that the color was not compatible or some such garbage.  I already watched this movie to dvd before without problem.  Now I can't get my computer to play a movie in color as the setting have been changed without my knowledge...

All I get is blue and mustard tones.  How to bring back the color so I can watch my movies?

That means the monitor cable is lose generally or broken inside.  But since you said it showed a message, you might want to consider maybe just using the option #1 here to cancel and return to until you get this message.

  • Equium A210: "tsst corp ts-l632h" firmware is not compatible with my drive

Last year I had an Equium A210 17l of pc world. I recently bought some dvd - r tdk discs and the drive cannot read them. It's as if there is no disk in the drive.
So I thought I'd hunt around to see if there is updated firmware for the drive. I downloaded the firmware from this site, but when I try to update it says that the disc is not compatible! Evey bit of software I said the player is a * tsst corp cddvdw ts-l632h * with firmware to01.

    The firmware I'm trying to download is [this | http://uk.computers.toshiba-europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/download_driver_details.jsp?service=UK&selCategory = 2 & selFamily = 382 & selSeries = 173 & selProduct = 742 & STAS hortMod = 680 & language = 13 & selOS = 26 & selType = 50 & yearup load = & monthupload = & dayupload = & useDate = null & mode = al lMachines & search = & action = search & macId = & country = 8 & electedLanguage s = 13 & type = 50 & page = 1 & ID = 63137 & DISO =-1 & driverLanguage = 42]

But whenever I try to run it it says that it is not compatible with my drive! What is going on?

    Jim Venner

I recommend you to first install the 2 firmware until the you´re trying to upgrade the drive with the a3 because it is possible that the a3 requires the 2.

Please visit the site to download drivers, download the firmware 2 and check if it works.
Would appreciate any comments on your part.

    Welcome them

  • DVD/CD-RW drive does not-Tecra A4

Hi, I have a problem with my Tecra A4.
My DVD CD - RW drive does not work properly (power is there, but it does not appear on the system), I have temporary installed a drive of DVD - RW from my HP laptop which works very well.
I tried to run my restore disk (never used), but nothing happens (press and hold C to start). This will only work with the good drive installed or I do something wrong?

p.s. I bought this second hand, but it's new. He had a damaged screen I have replaced

    Julian

If the old drive will not read media if it s damage.
You know that not every disc is compatible with the device because of the csel/slave/master settings.

You said that the button C doesn't allow you to boot from the disc.
In this case, I would recommend to get into the BIOS, and there you can change the boot order.
However, this trick is everything works only if the new drive is compatible and supported

    Hello

Maybe you should tell us what CD/DVD drive you have and where you have downloaded the update of the firmware.
In my opinion firmware update is not normally necessary.

Have you ever tried to remove upper and lower filters in the registry? This often solves problems with ODD.

    Hello

Do a clean install of XP with the XP disk provided by Dell, if you.

    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/OperatingSystems/SS/instxpclean1.htm

If you do not have your XP disk, you can contact Dell and ask them to send you a XP disc.

They should do this for a small fee.

And if you have never received a recovery disk when you bought your computer, there should be a recovery Partition on the hard drive to reinstall XP back on how you purchased your computer.

The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)

A Dell must rely on Ctrl + F11 at STARTUP to reinstall XP
