  For existing photos, select all your images in the grid view, and then click the Reset All button in the quick develop Panel. Then click on the auto tone button to correctly apply this feature.

  To prevent this from happening in the future, choose Lightroom > preferences > Presets (Mac OS) or edit > Preferences > Presets (Windows). Uncheck the apply auto tone adjustments.

• My speed dial thumbnails are blurred

  I have two screens open. One is the latest version of the opera and the other is Aurora (I'm on an imac with the Mavericks). For Aurora speed dial thumbnails are much more blurred than in the opera. Is there a way to make them clearer?

  Maybe that's the answer. I changed the speed dial extensions and now use the FVD speed dial, which offers a lot more options and produces excellent images. Thanks for all the useful answers and suggestions.

  I installed a game for Win XP Ser2 using the compatibility setting but without success. The PC came with 2 browsers IE and Google Chrome. I had to uninstall Chrome for some other reason and the game has now responded and works very well with the exception of a few graphics that are blackened. . Two questions: 1. why a browser not involved, which is not on during the game would have something to do with compatibility?  (2) are there other add - or ways to get all the graphics?

• My thumbnails are all horizontal in bridge

  All my thumbnails are horizontal in bridge - it is a new problem.  I'm using CS5.  Previously, they were sighted very well.  If I go through each folder and reapply my metadata, previews is correct, but I shouldn't have to do this every time I use the bridge.  I searched through preferences and impossible to find a solution.  Any ideas?

  Previously, they were sighted very well.

  First try the shortcut refresh F5 or the menu display / refresh. If no luck then try the menu Tools, cache / purge the cache for the file to regenerate the cache for this file. I think that one of those who should do the trick for you.

• Thumbnails are missing in Windows Explorer

  I can't see the thumbnails in Windows Explorer, I could see what had XP, no pictures at all, only when I click to open them, can, in my view, they are.  Also in my graphics software when it is open for photos, don't see them, as the background on all the jpg, different ones for gif etc.  In other words the jpg or gif icons, extended thumbnails etc.  Any ideas how to recover photos?  Thank you in advance.

  Sorry, just saw a similar problem, it settled now, who said the following:

  Response has been: in the Folder Options: open the view tab and make sure that "Always show icons, never thumbnails" is NOT checked.     This he settled, can now see my photos.

  See my metadata which is on display in the list, but I can only see the generic icon. I would like to turn these 'generic icon"in real"thumbnails"of metadata so that as soon as I expanded it I could have a better view of the files I have in my window project and also"Scrub Hover"on them. I also want to be able to turn on the "Preview area" on the top-left so that I could see what I have in this project window video data.

  It allows to be an icon in the upper right corner that allowed me to do this by checking the preferences that I wanted to use when displaying my metadata but its is no longer there.

  Missing? Do you mean that in the photos, there's a question mark icon? Or do you mean something else?

  If it's a question mark, you will need to reconnect photos using these instructions: Adobe Lightroom - find folders and files moved or missing

  I am horrible with AVI files.  I have two school projects in 11 elements that point to AVI files with a canon powershot.  They were fine for a few days, but now the AVI files will not load.  my projects are due soon, and I can't fix it.  Can anyone help?

  As well as the answers to the questions of ATR, I a more:

  Since you said that the AVI files worked, but not now, have you, by any chance, changed your computers, or do you have reinstalled the operating system, or no similar changes?

  The reason I ask that is that it is common to have the CODEC appropriate on one machine but not another. In addition, it is common that when updates of the operating system, or brings significant changes, a CODEC that was once properly installed in the operating system, is is properly installed.

• In the Organizer, the thumbnails are black

  Thumbnails of the video clips are all blacks, only showing a movie clip symbol.  JPEG files show very well.

  Have serious problems with the interface of Thunderbird blacking out. Sometimes, it's the message window and I have to choose a different message, then re-in order to read. Sometimes the menu bar is blackened. There were major changes to the interface engine in a recent update?

  I use ebay a lot, I need to block a photo (if I used Ad Block more (add on)) and now ALL my photo on ebay (the photos) are now blocked (can't see one of them) I have removed Ad Block Plus, called ebay and still have the problem... ONLY ON FIREFOX. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it... still have the problem!

• Dailymotion thumbnails are black when familiy filter is disabled.

  I cleaned the reacent with all history (cookies, cache, etc.), started Firefox in safe mode with disabled modules, used CCleaner to delete browsing history. Nothing helps. This problem occurred for a few weeks.
