Printer HP Officejet Pro 8100 operating system Windows 7 in progress

With the power supply "off" printer, my old printer HP Deskjet 5700 series d autimatically power 'on' on the basis of a print command.

My new printer, Officejet Pro 8100 seems to require the printer already be in position 'on' before accepting a print command.

Is this correct or does automatically power 'on' when a command is issued?

Thanks for any assistance!

Hello yugretep,

Please, let me first take the time to say 'Welcome' on the HP Forums.  I hope you enjoy your experience!

To help you get the most out of the Forums of HP, I would like to draw your attention to the Guide of the Forums HP first time here? Learn how to publish and more.

I see you have some doubts about the way in which the printer responds when a print job is sent to it.

The printer Officejet 8600 has a "standby" or the stand depending on the mode that you wake up the printer to the top when a print job is sent to activate the printer.  The printer is designed to be on all the time and if left alone for a certain period of time, it may fall into a sleep or stand-by mode.

If the printer will not respond on the stand where sleep mode, then it is usually caused by a lack of power.  I suggest that you make sure you have the printer power cable connected directly to a wall outlet and NOT a power strip/bar.  Here is a document that uses a LaserJet printer for example, but it is intended for HP products in general.

Please click the link which explains the problems when connected to an uninterruptible power supply/Strip/surge protector power.

Once you have the printer in a wall outlet, use the power button to be able to cycle properly the device.  This will reset the printer.

Please email me if you still have questions or if you have any other questions.

If not today, I hear you hope you have a fantastic Thursday.

See you soon,.

  • DeskJet 1010: Aware of the printer

I said to keep my printer on all the time, but a new stops automatically. If something has changed?

    Hi JimG2,

    Welcome to the HP Forums.

It is recommended to leave the printer on constantly.  If the printer turns off it is simply because the unit has a built in power saving mode and enters a State of hibernation when not in use.

When it's time to use the printer, simple press and quickly release the power button.  It will wake up. If you press in and hold the button for a while, it shuts down the printer.

If a print job is sent to the printer when it is in sleep or stand by fashion, in most units, the printer will wake up and move forward with the print job.

I hope this information is useful.

  • The print page opens not when I try to print a Web page.

I use Firefox for many months and so far I have had no problem printing a Web page. I was away for a week and discovered this problem yesterday when I tried to print a Web page. Maybe there was some changes during the week that I'm not aware of?

This happens on all websites or is it on particular websites?

Normally, a button to launch a page in the print format appears in a new window. Blocker integrated in Firefox allows popups generated by a user by clicking, but if you have additional security modules, maybe one of them is blocking those.

Could test you mode without failure of Firefox? It is a standard diagnostic tool to disable some advanced features of Firefox and extensions. More info: questions to troubleshoot Firefox in Safe Mode.

Does not work if Firefox: Hold down the SHIFT key when you start Firefox.

If Firefox is running: You can restart Firefox in Mode safe mode using either:

    • button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > restart with disabled modules
    • Help menu > restart with disabled modules

    and OK reboot.

Two scenarios: A small dialog box should appear. Click on 'Start mode safe' (not update).

  • OfficeJet 6600 - reports HP Connect "problem with the printer.

I just bought an all-in-one OfficeJet 6600 and immediately installed on my MacBook Pro. Installation went smoothly, and I used it for scanning and printing. I am very happy. However, I noticed that HP Connect reports "Issue with printer." Well, it worked fine, so I ignored the error and continued to work.

Tonight, I have installed the printer on a Windows 7 laptop. At HP Connect, it is always now reports "Problem with printer." That's it - no further details and no symptoms of any kind of problem. How to diagnose the 'problem' and how to fix it?

Hi there, I know this may seem illogical, but I wouldn't worry too much about the problem with the printer State message in connected HP. I saw myself sometimes, and I was able to print successfully from a mobile device to the printer which connected HP indicated that there is a problem. Have you tried to send a job by using either the application mobile ePrint or to the e-mail address of printers for the printer in question?

On the Windows 7 machine, you can also download and run the HP print and Scan Doctor to confirm there is no problem with the connection to the computer on which is installed the software of the printer or the printer hardware. Be aware, however, that the application is compatible with the Windows operating system only, so you cannot run it on the Mac computer, but unless you are having problems printing from Mac to the printer, there is no reason to suspect that anything is wrong.

Hope that makes sense, but post comes back with other questions.

    Best.

  • move the print queue to another printer

I had not realized that I had not deleted an old printer that I did more.   By chance, something began to try

to print on the old printer... is it possible to move from this queue and on another printer?

I try not to have to remove the characters and cannot cancel the printer and delete it because it's

I try to print so that it will not cancel or delete.   There should be a fairly easy way to simply move the print queue

to another printer... It shouldn't be this hard... Thank you.

The computer restarts or stop the spooler service in the services menu and then restarting it will remove the tasks in the queue. It isn't a way that I am aware of transfer a task in queue to another printer.

  • PC can connect to the printer, but Mac cannot even with updated drivers.

We have an HP Photosmart Premium C309g, which is connected to a Cisco Linksys EA2700 wireless router. The printer connects easily to the PC with windows 7. However on macs with Lion, the printer will be displayed when you type the IP address in the browser. However when you try to load the printer it does not appear. If you use the IP address to load it does not connect to the printer. He used to work. The only changes are a new PC and a new wireless router. I tried to update the drivers and software on the Mac. It did not help. Still the same problem.

    Hello

Unlike Windows, peripheral Apple uses Hello (which is based on the multicast) to connect with the HP device over the wireless network.

As far as I'm aware routers Linksys not configured for multicast by its default value.

Try the following and check to see if that can help you:

    1. Enter the router from your browser homepage.
    2. Enter in the Security tab,
    3. Check filter multicast.
    4. CLCK save changes.
    5. Reboot the router and check any change.

  • Color LaserJet Pro CM1415fnw multifunction - print that hangs or restarts printer after the print request

I am using a LaserJet Pro CM1415fnw with a wireless connection and a USB connection, for several years with my MacBook Pro, spanning several evolutions of the Mac OSX (Mountain Lion, Lion, Mavericks) without incident.

Today, no reason apparent, the printer started to expose the problems of processing printing orders sent, through the wireless and via the USB port.

When you try a wireless connection, the print queue to fill up and the LCD will display printing in progress (with no impression caused), then the screen would just whiten and the printer would appear to restart, with the HP logo, and then subsequently return to the normal display mode, as if she was ready to print or copy, no matter.   No printing would take place, and the print queue would remain as if there is a current print job, with no impression caused.

When you try to use the USB connection, the print queue indicates that a print command has been sent to the printer, but then, he did the same wireless, with the LCD screen goes white and apparently to restart the printer.  The print queue is populated, but printing never takes place.

I have reset the printing system several times, removed and reinstalled the printer several times (wireless W USB connections), use the HP utility to try to install the printer, download and install the latest version of the driver for the device, rebooted the MacBook Pro, etc, etc.

The ONLY thing that can print at this time is if I use the HP utility software, and receive information from device and then use the PAGE printing CONFIGURATION - then and then only, the printer responds immediately and prints the page, just as it was always in the past (until now!).

I have tried everything I can think, for several hours, and can not understand what the problem might be.

Any idea to solve this problem would be greatly appreciated!

    Norman,

Thank you for your constant perseverance on this issue.  I forgot my post here, until I received a notification today about your response to date.

Curiously, I "stumbled" upon the cause of the problem recently, and he had NOTHING to do with the printer or the MacBook Pro OS X (recently updated to Yosemite).

It turns out that the problem was in the PDF file that I was trying to print!  Periodically, I'll print PDFs to a particular Web site, and it is these PDF files - exclusively - who made the mistake of communication between the computer and the printer.  The problem with PDFs is unique to the Mac OS X, because I can print the exact same PDF files from my laptop running Windows without problem.

I have no idea what the "Bug" in the East of PDF files... probably never is, but given that I can do what I need to do with a Windows laptop, my problem is solved.

I contacted the Admin on the website where I was printing the PDF files they offer, to make them aware of the situation.

Thank you for your interest and your help!

  • The print queue status is displayed as "offline" on a Windows 2008 R2 Print Server.

The fix in this article KB http://support.microsoft.com/kb/946198/ corrects this problem for windows 2003 SP2 print server.  The same exact symptom occurred in my windows 2008 r2 print server.  Is anyone is aware of the fix for the version of windows 2008 R2?

  • Network charges (7310) printer to 100%, then the error message: "the printer is not responding" - help!

    Hello

until yesterday (with the new driver), everything was fine. Now the printer (Officejet 7310) print no more when it is connected to the network (ethernet or USB (to the router). The printer will print directly connected via USB to my MacBookPro, also when connect to my iMac.

Tried everything, deleted and added to the printer (green light), restarted the pc, printer etc. Cannot read the extra level, utility HP does not get data to the printer.

    Everyone is any hint?

    Thank you very much!

    Efi5

    Hi Efi5,

Make sure the printer connected to your router by Ethernet.

Unplug the router for 30 seconds, plug back in and try printing again.

If it persists, try resetting the following printing system and check if this may help you:

    * Be aware that reset the printer system will eliminate any existing queue and reset all custom settings driver.

Click on the Apple menu and then click on System Preferences.
    Select Print & Scan.
Right click (or Ctrl + click) your product with the Printers list in the left panel and then click on reset printing system.
Click OK to confirm the reset.
Type your user name and password.
Click OK. The printing system resets.

Now add the printer by clicking on the sign more.

    Kind regards

  • PC show 722C as offline Deskjet, the printer is on but printer does not print.

Yes, a 722C is really old, but it has worked perfectly since may, 1998?

For the past 6 years, it was connected to a 32 bit Dell inspiron 531 s running Vista.  It connects via a spindle cable on the end of the printer and one USB plug on the other.  (I forgot the name of this type of cord).  Neither the computer or printer are still displaced.

Day before yesterday, as someone threw a switch, he was offline on the printer icon in Control Panel and leave impression. Print jobs are entered into the queue, but nothing prints.  The power led is on.

I ran the HP Print doctor a couple of times.  I spent the end of USP to another port.  I plugged in my laptop (running Windows 7) and I get the same message in offline mode.  I unplugged the printer power cord and left for several hours.

I know that some printers have an internal counter that the printer stops after reaching a specified number of copies.  Is this possible with this model?

I also know that it is not worth taking to make a diagnosis.   I just hope Miss me just a few little simple fix.

Thank you for reading this and for any help you can give.

Thank you very much for your prompt response and you thanks to tell me how to run a test page.  He ran a very faint test.

When I ran the printing doctor, it is reported that everything was working properly. (I don't remember the exact wording.)  I'll run it again, just to make sure.

On my device manager, the yellow triangle says "error".  This time I used my laptop with Vista.

    I'll check on a new USB-parallel adapter.

    I appreciate your help.

    Bob_Headrick wrote:

The Deskjet 722C printer doesn't have any counter that could cause it to quit smoking after a number of pages (or hours or anything else).

What were the results with the HP Print doctor - he said simply that the printer is off line?

You can check the following basic printer features: the prinetr and wait so he could get to the Green ready state.  Now, press in and hold the power button in and while holding the power button, press on and release the button to jump to page four times quickly.  Now release the power button and a rudimentary focus will print.

My guess would be that you have a failed USB-parallel adapter. I'm not aware of any diagnosis for this.  It might be useful to go to start, Control Panel, Manager of devices and see if there is a yellow exclamation warning nothing in the list of devices in the Ports section.

  • Connected HP - 'problem with the printer '.

Having not used the 'Apps' on my HP Photosmart 7520e for awhile I discovered that my printer is recognized on logging in HP ePrint, as "one line", but here's a yellow Triangle telling me 'problem with printer.

My printer functions ok but if I try to use an application (I tried to print the calendar), I get the message "unable to connect to web services. "Cool Internet access and try again.

I tested the printer by sending a test print of my Tablet and that works fine but Apps simply do not seem to recognize a web connection.

    Quite simply... Out there!

    Hi OnnaBugeisha,

Thank you for being a member of the community of HP support.  I understand that you are unable to get the applications to connect from the front panel of the printer and you get a message "Problem with the printer" in connected HP.

Connected HP sometimes gives a false report that there is a problem not specified with the printer. HP has been able to reproduce the error.  If there was a genuine mistake, the message would point to the problem (low on ink, paper, etc). Unspecified error message does not prevent you to use ePrint.

Regarding applications is not enabled on the front panel of the printer, HP is aware of the problem and working on a solution. It is recommended that you have your updates of product set to automatic on the front of the printer in order to receive the update as soon as it is available. • InDesign CC packages is more fonts when I need to send a project to the printer

Hey Adobe team: user for a long time when Photoshop was but a germination. I recently upgraded the Creative Suite 6 to creative cloud and have encountered a worrying problem. InDesign CC packages is more the fonts when I need to send a project to the printer. This meant that I had to completely redo a project on the deadline for a problem I've ever had before. How is - it may help your users? And is there a current solution or should I cancel creative cloud and return to the CS6?

    @OurPlace

First of all, you do not discuss any team of Adobe. These forums are primarily supported by volunteers who are not Adobe employees and do not represent official Adobe Support.

    That being said...

He there did nothing specifically with InDesign 9 or 10 (CC and CC 2014) version of InDesign to modify or disable the packaging of fonts when packing for a document. There should be absolutely no different from InDesign (version CS6) 8.

    Troubleshooting tips:

    (1) make sure that you enable the option Copy fonts (except CJK and TypeKit) in the package dialog box.

    (2) make sure that you are not using any ideogram (Chinese, Japanese, and Korean) fonts complexes that specifically never put us in a package.

    (3) fonts TypeKit will not be packaging.

    (4) make sure that your file system permissions are such that InDesign can create all necessary directories and all subdirectories to the packaging operation.

    (5) if the MacOS, exit InDesign and try to force a clearing of your system font cache and restart.

    (6) output InDesign and then find and delete all the files on your system with names of the form .lst AdobeFnt# # being a two-digit number; delete not all the other files that begin with AdobeFnt. Restart, and restart InDesign.

    (7) reset the InDesign preferences that can has been corrupted. For Windows, start InDesign and press Shift + Ctrl + Alt. Click Yes when asked if you want to delete preference files. For MacOS, pressing down on Shift + Option + command-control, start InDesign. Click Yes when asked if you want to delete preference files.

One of them should nuer or solve your problem. Once again, we at Adobe are not aware of any generic problem with packaging fonts with InDesign.
