  Recently, I experienced some problems with Windows Defender.  I tried to do a system restore, but I couldn't go back enough before to the problem.  They then advised me through reading the forums and questioning serveral here my other option was to do a re-installation of complete system for Windows Vista.  I have no problem with that, I don't have a CD for it and no one I know is.  My laptop is a Dell and it received through College I was dating after graduation.   Probably a year ago my hard drive failed.  I had the hard drive replaced and the program that was then installed on my computer Windows Vista (32 bit), which worked well and has been great so far.  The Dell initially had Windows XP home edition SP2 it is and reinstall drive only I.  The disc indicates specifically that it is not for resettlement programs or drivers... If I now can I go back to Windows SP2? I don't know how it works, or what he would do.  Can you please suggest some options? or advice?...

  We do not know what disk/license of Vista was used to install Vista on your computer.

  Normally, ylou would install XP > then go to Vista.

  This feature has been removed from 2014 first Pro CC (v8.2) version.

  You can still use this feature, but you must install the previous version of Premiere Pro.

  A number of times now I crushed spontaneously out of Adobe Premiere CS4 with the following error:

  It is a problem of Adobe - is not a Vista problem.  Please contact the technical support for this product at:http://www.adobe.com/support/premiere/ and they must be willing and able to help you.  It is said expressly in the error message that it occurredin the Application.

  If they blame Vista, ask them to speciics on what exactly they think is wrong and why exactly they think it's Vista and not their program.

• How better and easy to capture VHS for editing in Premiere CS4?

  I've got some tapes VHS in 2000 that I really want to get into the Premiere CS4.  I have a large Alienware that runs on Win10 and I also have a beautiful G raid external hard drive.  I read on Amazon on some of these gadgets that you plug into your VHS machine and it has a USB port on the other end.  It seems that the comments are sporadic, so I wonder if anyone knows the best way to collect those VHS tapes?

  One thing I don't want to do is open my Alienware and put a plank in.  I am not mechanically inclined to do.  In any case looking for suggestions, etc. who would work with a Win10 machine.  Thank you.

• You can easily reverse effect in Premiere CS4 parameters?

  Suppose I have an effect developed, maybe the ripple effect, then blur, opacity melted out of text.  The effect begins with the text usually showing then when it starts, the undulations, blur and opacity start until the text has disappeared.

  What would be nice, rather having to reverse engineer these effects by in the opposite direction, is there a way to save each of them as a "Preset" but also apply them in reverse and then save THAT as a "Preset" too?  Many years (12 to be exact) in my Ribbon days and using Pinnacle Alladin, you might build an effect and then click a checkbox and it instantly reversed everything.
