B4L10C: scan-to-mail

Hello!

Can you confirm that the HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 4645 e-all-in-one (B4L10C) will support a "scan to e-mail" features

(Scan to e-mail without a PC!)

This application has not been supported model https://h30495.www3.hp.com/detail/1532.2 list

And if so, can I create a list of contacts in the printer (name | email), or the user must type manual email address?

Thank you!

Hello

Indeed, scanning to email app is not available for this model.

It is only available for printers equipped with a screen touch grapichal, such as the HP Officejet 6810 or the Officejet Pro 6830...

You can find low end models like the HP ENVY 5640, 5660, 7640 and Officejet 5740, 8040 supporting scanning to email app.

Hope that helps,

Shlomi

Disable analysis in your e-mail anti-virus program. It is a redundant layer of protection that devours the CPUs, slows down sending and receiving and causes a multitude of problems such as time-outs, account setting changes and has even been responsible for the loss of messages. Your up-to-date A / V program will continue to protect you sufficiently. For more information, see:

  • CM750A: HP Officejet Pro 8600 + how to configure scanning e-mail?

Have this printer for years and tried to set up scan to email.

Configure outgoing messages via the built-in Web server and test was ok.

When I try to scan to e-mail, I receive a "server error".

    What can be the problem?

Yes, it can. You can talk to these warnings email provider and see if that solves your problems. If this is not the case, check the parameters entered in the built-in web server or try a different email provider.

  • implementation of scan e-mail

I'm a major Horn IT green and my idea to solve a problem in the past was by calling the it Department.  Now I have Office out of my house and I am my COMPUTER service.  in any case, I intalled my HP Officejet Pro 8600 more and have been using it very well.  Until I tried to run a scan.  I'm trying to do e-mail scanner and after about 4 hours am ready to give up.  Except that I need to analyze again tonight...

I'm stuck on the "Scan to E-mail Setup" page.  I looked at other ideas, I found, but continues to receive the "printer cannot connect to the server.  Correct the server name and address"command prompt.  I use a remote server of the company and I looked towards the top of the computer and domain name and all that.  Even changed the port number as I read in some other forums.  Any ideas?

    Hello

The scan to E-mail setup require defining the details of your server, as this is an internal server from the company, you must provide the details you should know the details of SMTP setver.

First of all, I would recmmend set a general mail server, for example a temporary Gmail account... This will allow you to ensure that connectivity is very good that the server details are known with certainty:

Use a gmail account using the full Gmail address.

    Use smtp.gmail.com.

    Set the port as 465.

Check the SSL option in the Print Setup.

Check the option server SMTP authentication.

Use the full address as the user name and the password that will be used.

Go thorugh the configuration steps and click on save and test.

Once you're done, assuming that the power has gone well and pass the test, you know that you have no internet connection problem.

If the test fails I would make sure that your firewall is not blocking the ports 465 and 587, then test it again.

If the same still fails go to EWS the printer and open the network tab.

Select in the active connection type IPv4 and a manual DNS.

Define the primary and secondary as as 8.8.4.4 8.8.8.8.

Now test the profile settings of outgoing mail once more.

Assuming the test to pass, change the email account for the details of your e-mail server, those you will need to know the details are internal to your server, the connection results are entirely up to using the correct details for your server, a good configuration of your SMTP server and the firewall must not block your SMTP server port.

  • HP Officejet 6500 stopped A910 scans e-mail sending

I saw similar posts to this one, but none with the same conditions.

I used to be able to scan to e-mail without problems; in fact, I did it hundreds of times.  A few days ago it stopped working.  Now, whenever I try to scan to email I get an error that says: "network connection error. Check the network and try again.  However, the printer is actually on the network; I can even go to the web server built into the printer in my office on the network.

The printer is configured for a wireless connection via a protected by WPA wireless network.  This configuration has not changed in months.

A curious thing is that when I try to troubleshoot using the web interface, when I try to test the configuration of the e-mail for example, I get the "Network connection error" message on THE WEB PAGE.  In other words, the printer tells me on the network that there was a network connection error, which is weird when you think about it.

I really depend on this feature, so I hope that someone who has experienced it before can help me.

Some clarification: the outgoing smtp server is gmail.  No, I have not recently changed the password to my gmail account.  Not that it matters, my client computers are all Macs.  Yes, my wireless works fine in all other respects.

    Hello

Try unplugging your router for 30 seconds, plug it back and turn the printer off and then on again.

Now try scanning to e-mail and check for the difference.

If the same error persists, try to assign a DNS address manually as follows:

    1. Open the built-in web server, and then click the network tab.
    2. Under the active connection type section, click IPv4 (wired / wireless).
    3. Keep the IP address Configuration because there is, under the address Configuration DNS check the box next to manual DNS server.
    4. Define DNS preferred as 8.8.8.8
    5. Set the auxiliary DNS as 8.8.4.4
    6. Save the changes and try to scan the image to send.

If there is still no difference ensure your printer firmware is up-to-date:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c02830943

If none of the steps does not remember to specify what email provider that you use.

  • HP 7520 - scan: e-mail - no attachments included

I use a new HP PhotoSmart 7520 to I try to scan documents and send to my personal email accounts and business.  I scanned documents to be sent as email previously, but for some reason some today my emails are delivered, but they appear without the PDF attachments.

    Here's what's happening and what I tried:

    • "Send scan to email" displays for 60 to 90 seconds for a 1 page document and then an error message appears on the printer screen indicating "analyzed files cannot be sent to the addressees.  New Tyy or touch Exit to exit. "When I press 'Try again' it works but there is never an attachment.  "Exit" pours me just to the main screen.
    • I tried to send other e-mail addresses, and it did not fix the problem
    • I can scan on a USB key without problem
    • I can scan/copy of paper without problem
    • The system to connect to web services

What could be the problem?  Thanks in advance

  • "Scan To E-mail" configuration on HP Officejet Pro 8600 more N911g

It's the same problem reported by several other users of this forum to which no solution has been provided.

I was not successful to set up the scan e-mail option for a HP Officejet Pro 8600 more N911g bought 12 August 2012 and using CLP1CN1150CR firmware.

I'm trying to do through the interface of the Web server built into the printer from an iMac running Mac OS X 10.6.8 and the 5.8.0 HP utility.  More specifically the page under 'outgoing Scan-> Scan to E-mail-> e-mail profiles.

I tried 2 SMTP from different servers, each one works well to send the email from the computer: Apple iCloud mail service (formerly Mobile Me, formerly known as.) Mac) and AT & T Net messaging service.  I checked the server name, port number, and authentication login and password were all correct.

When scanning to email serves as the printer, I get an error message: unable to connect to the server.  Check the address and the name of the server.

During a test of the computer when configuring a profile of outgoing mail, I get an error message: the device was unable to send the test e-mail message. (EmailAccounts-timeout).

When I try to configure the page under "Settings-> E-mail Alerts-> mail server" and use exactly the same values as those in the e-mail profile out above, registration and Test option fails with an error message: the device was unable to send the test e-mail message.

Oddly enough, I am able to use the client to the computer with the option scan to the computer-> e-mail in PDF format or by e-mail in JPEG format.  With this option, the file is scanned and added as an attachment to an e-mail message from the Mail in Mac OS X client.  The e-mail message is sent via SMTP server even when I press the button send.

All the error messages seem to indicate that the client software of electronic mail of the printer is unable to establish a connection to the SMTP server.  However, it is unclear what configuration setting is one that could be the cause of the problem.

After further research, I noticed that there is another default possible values of port Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP):

    • Port 25 is the standard SMTP port number.
    • Port 465 is the number of SMTP over SSL, Secure SMTP (SSMTP) port.
    • Port 587 corresponds to the port number dedicated for a presentation Mail (MSA) Agent that uses a variant of SMTP, as specified in RFC 6409, which requires that clients are authorized and authenticated to use the filing of mail service.

    Hi @cjmrnanp

Welcome to the HP Support forums. I understand that you get a connection error message when you try to use your printer Photosmart 6520 scanning e-mail.

Please define Manual of the printer an IP address manually and DNS servers. If you do not know how to this I have included a link to another post which has measurements, including screenshots, on how to do it. Please do not worry that the screenshots show a printer Photosmart 7510, the steps are the same.

Once you have set the IP address manually, you still have the same problem with by entering the PIN code?

    tear hair help

    Hi @Nadajak,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I read your post about how you can not scan e-mail with your HP printer. I'm happy to help you!

    A few questions for you:

    • What type of printer HP do you have? example: HP Officejet 8600.

    • How is the printer connected, wireless, Ethernet or USB?

    • What iOS version do you use? http://www.whatsmyos.com

In the meantime, please try a hard reset by following the steps in this post, How to perform a hard reset, by @Rich1. It is important that the power cable from the printer is plugged directly into the wall outlet, not a surge protector.

  • HP 7520 Double face (two-sided) scanning possible? If so, how can I make this work?

How can I scan a document double sided (A4) with the HP Photosmart 7520?

I prefer to scan directly to e-mail, but I never see the option of detection across a document. With scan-to-mail, but also with the other options (scan of the computer, USB)

Several reviews that I've read what follows:

"The Photosmart can print and scan in duplex (two-sided page), but scanning duplex requires two passes.

But how does it work? I guess that doesn't mean that I have to do two separate analyses (which would not of course double-sided).

But at no time, I gives me the possibility to transform the document and resume analysis.

Any ideas on how to use duplex (sort of) scanning with HP 7520?

The Photosmart 7520 offers the possibility to scan double-sided.

You scan the front of the printer or the software on the computer? Duplex scanning must be started from the software.

Scanning both sides of the software on the PC:
    * Open the HP printer Assistant software for the Photosmart 7520
    * Select scan a Document or Photo
    * Select the Document in PDF format (or by e-mail in PDF format)
    * On the side right of the screen is a list of drop-down menus and one of them is the source of the scan
    * Select this option to scan from the automatic document feeder
    * After you select this option, a checkbox will appear under this option to activate Dulpex scanning
    * Set the other options as desired and start the scan

If you are scanning multiple pages which should be duplex scanning, then the printer will travel the most complete list on one side and then to instruct you on how to reset the pages to scan the remaining sides. The unit requires a method of style "flip and resume" duplex scanning. I hope this helps.

  • Scan to email PIN never came.

I want 5530 configuration with HP chromebook. E-printing function works perfectly, but when you try to scan to the printer console emal, it requires a PIN to be sent to you, that has not happened for more than 12 hours. No one knows how long does take to receive this PIN or y at - there a way to disable this security feature?

    Hi ydoc100,

Welcome to the HP Support forums.   I understand that you try to configure your printer Photosmart 5530 scanning e-mail.

There is no way to bypass or disable this security feature and spindle can take up to 24 hours to be sent.  Quite often email clients rank as junk email then please check your spam or junk mail folders.  Be sure to use a personal email address when you set up the scan to e-mail feature and not the ePrint printer email address.

If after 24 hours that you have not yet received the pin number, please try again.  If you have not yet received the pin number after trying a second time, please call the HP Cloud Services for a time real state of the server.  HP Cloud Services can be reached at the 1-855-785-2777, if you live in the USA/Canada region. If you do not live the USA/Canada region, please click here to find the number of Technical Support for your country/region.

  • Windows Mail does not send to Mail in the sent folder

This morning, my Windows Mail is no longer my e-mails sent in the sent items folder. E-mail send OK, and I'm getting the small arrow icon purple on the projection of graphics Inbox mail I answered. It is simply not save copies of the sent emails.

To my knowledge, nothing has changed since yesterday and I have installed any new software. I checked the settings of e-mail Options and is checked for "backup copy of messages sent in the sent items folder. Just to be sure I unchecked, then checked again and press on apply, but it did not help.

Any thoughts? I REALLY need copies of all of my sent mail. Is there a maximum number of sent messages, I can save maybe?

(BTW - I'm on Vista Ultimate Edition with Service Pack 2. I use AVG Free for my anti-virus, but nothing has changed there either, as far as I know.)

Before going through the stages of the reconstruction of the base of messages, try to repair the database with my Windows Mail utility and see if that fixes the problem.  Seewww.oehelp.com/WMUtil/ also make sure AVG is not scan e-mail because that could be the culprit of this issue.  See www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3
