B50 - 30 - black screen when starting since installing Windows 10

Hello. I use a laptop Touch B50-30 Energy Star. It came with Windows 8.1. Recently, it is automatically promoted to the 10 Windows (which I really like). Unfortunately, since the upgrade, when I press the power button / the Lenovo logo appears on the screen, and then everything goes black and stays like that until I turn the power and then restart with the power again button.

Does anyone else have this problem or if you did, how solve you this problem?

Thanks Big Time

Have you tried to use the brightness (f11 and f12) keys? In my case they have started working in the opposite direction, so by pressing f11 lights up the screen and f12 it fades. The opposite of what to do...

    I'm sorry that I post back. I was given an offer too good to refuse services HP customer. They accepted the Ultrabook returned as a RTB at their expense, and when I came back, it was in full working order, although costs in Factory mode. Fortunately, all the important things I have are on the cloud then I lose nothing of note.

    I would like to thank HP for do this, even though it was out of warranty, and the Ultrabook does not glitched at all since I got back.

  • Satellite L300 - 17l - no HARD drive & black screen when trying to install XP

    I just bought a Toshiba Satellite L300 - 17l no operating system on it.
    I tried to install xp, but after the initialization of the installation was told he not found any hard... and press F3 to exit Setup.

    And now I can not install anything, because when I turn on the laptop it seems just a black screen

    :( NEED HELP... PLEASE...

    All you need to do is install XP that contains SATA drivers. The XP you are trying to install does not contain them is why it does not recognize your hard drive. If you can't find Xp with SATA drivers, you can create your own drive to install XP with SATA drivers in a few steps:

    (1) download nLite
    (2) download the SATA drivers for your laptop from the Toshiba site
    (3) find Xp installation (normal that you use for your PC)
    (4) start nLite and it will tell you how tointegrate the SATA drivers in the XP installation
    (5) burn the installtion disk
    Install XP on the laptop to 6)

  • Sims 2 questions on Windows 7 (64 bit) - black screen when starting the game

    Questions of title: Sims 2 original on Windows 7 (64-bit)

    The compatibility for Windows 7 thing, says that the Sims 2 and all the expansions will run in Windows 7.

    When I installed in fact all games Sims 2 on my laptop, however, the game does not start.

    I click on the game, opened upward, and I just get a black screen, causing me to have to restart the entire system.

    I tried to run in compatibility mode, which was a no-go. EA customer support asked me to update my drivers, I did. Because none of this worked, I guess that's another problem in Windows 7, so it would be great if I could get a solution to this problem!

    Well, I bought a Vista in 2008 and he had worked pretty well and then as a few days ago, I'm starting to turn it on and all I get is a black screen! I really need to get it fixed because I need for school and really don't want to have to go buy a new:(toute suggestion serait vraiment apprécié!) 1

    You get a Splash Screen (Dell, HP, etc. Logo) when you turn it on?

    Or is it totally Virgin market?

    If completely empty, it may a hardware failure.

    If under warranty, contact the manufacturer.

    If this is not the case, contact a local and trusted computer repairman.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    If you get a splash screen, Windows tries to load, but do not succeed, try the following steps:
    Follow these steps to try to solve your problems of boot.
    Restore point:
    http://www.howtogeek.com/HOWTO/Windows-Vista/using-Windows-Vista-system-restore/
    Do Safe Mode system restore, if it is impossible to do in Normal Mode.
    Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.
    Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...
    Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.
    http://www.windowsvistauserguide.com/system_restore.htm
    Read the above for a very good graph shows how backward more than 5 days in the System Restore Points by checking the correct box.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    If restore work not and you do not have a Vista DVD from Microsoft, do a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:

    Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.

    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

    When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

    Link above shows what the process looks like and a manual, it load the repair options.

    NeoSmart containing the content of the Windows Vista DVD 'Recovery Centre', as we refer to him. It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and is just a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.

    Read all the info on the website on how to create and use:

    http://NeoSmart.net/blog/2008/Windows-Vista-recovery-disc-download/

    ISO Burner:http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html

    It's a very good Vista startup repair disk.

    You can do a system restart tool, system, etc it restore.

    It is NOT a disc of resettlement.

    And the 32-bit is what normally comes on a computer, unless 64-bit.

  • black screen when starting games

    I have a hp pavilion dv 7 7004sl. recently when I try to open most of the games that the video does not start. the computer becomes just a black screen with sound play in the background. I checked for reqs game and my computer is way beyond recomanded ones. a have an ideea of how to solve this problem? (installed video drivers from hp.com for two video cards).

    I solved part of the problem. It seems that this had nothing to do with the drivers. I changed the settings of the video card 3d intel and I managed to make the games work with the video card intel. now, I have to just find a way to set options for the nvidia 3d video card. I will return with precision if I managed to make it work, the performance of the game are much better with this one.

  • Black screen when starting up for about 5-15 minutes

    The first two times it happened, I would like to re start the computer and I would get the Bios screen, but when she reaches the windows screen it would go black. for about 3 minutes. Then everything would be fine.

    Now, I get the black screen as soon as I turn on the computer it stays black for about ten to fifteen minutes. It arises suddenly, all on its own.

    Ive tried... Hardware and software updates, including windows. Ive tried cache ram, flushing, Ive tried unplugging, stall everything and reconnect. Ive tried to use another monitor. Uninstall all antivirus software. Ive tried to adjust the boot parameters.  Ive tried to adjust the resolution of the screen.

    I don't know what to do?

    Hey everybody,

    Update!

    Eventually the monitor never returned.  So it was out of service until I fixed it.

    Several hours in my resolution of problems, I discovered the problem.   The "monitor Extra I was using was nonfuctional out of the box" once I realized that I concentrated on the screen itself.  With a little research in my monitor (formerly broken), I discovered that there are problems with capacitor.

    Of course once I opened the monitor, two of the capacitors had jumps/bulging upward.  So they had blown... It was a slow burn.  So, as I used it, the capacitor lost ability to work...  So I replaced two capacitors with a bit of sodering. Turn the monitor together and TADA!  Monitor is fully functional.

    In case you're wondering the monitor that I use is a Samsung (apparently a lot of capacitor problems in its monitors) model 906BW.

    Also, I guess I should of mentioned that this is not a laptop. Its a desktop computer.

    Confirmed FIX: Replacing two capacitors bulged/jumps inside the monitor.

  • 0.9.4 Simulator stand in black screen when starting forever

    0.9.3 Simulator has worked on my computer

    Today, I downloaded 0.9.4 and followed the quick start guide

    http://docs.BlackBerry.com/en/developers/deliverables/25068/

    to the point where starts the Simulator and I clicked on the button "I finished installing. But the Simulator shows a black screen with the words "BlackBerry PlayBook" in the middle and has been there forever.

    No icon gear at the top right and, therefore, I can't continue...

    What did I miss?

    You aren't the only one with this.  Search for 0.9.4 recent discussions to learn more.

    In short, make sure that you used the correct parameters VMware exactly (1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of disk, accel 3d, dual core) and make sure that your host is not limited in memory.  Also give it a 5 minutes before giving up.  If it doesn't, try reset several times.

    Also, it's always a good idea to include your configuration information.  Platform, OS, number of bits (32/64), etc.

  • Black screen when starting my Satellite C

    When I turn on my laptop it shows the usual Toshiba screen with the option of choosing F2 or F12, (none of them helped) the next screen is all black with the cursor blinking in the upper left corner. Nothing else happens after that. I let (hoping it'll work) but just becomes market and repeats the process.

    Any help will be really appreciated helpline Toshiba are now very usefully closed until Monday when I'm at work!

    Thank you

    I got a cursor blinking in the upper left also, and in my case, the HARD drive was dead.
    After replacing HARD drive, I was able to install the new OS and can start the operating system properly.

    Must check if the HARD drive is ok.

  • NB520 - black screen when the POST and Windows 8.1

    Good afternoon!

    I'm in a strange problem.
    My netbook screen shows black during POST (Bios) and sometimes shows a few white lines, as interference.

    If I boot Windows OS 8.1 the problem persists.
    If I run Ubuntu, I can see everything normally.

    I looked on the connection of the screen and it touched to check the wire is ok, but is the same.
    If I connect an external VGA display I can see straight.

    Years, I changed the screen because it brokes.
    In the last months, I could see lines on the screen especially during the POST.

    It could be a screen issue, son...?
    The screen does not support some frecuences now?

    Thank you and sorry for my English.
