    Hello

I had the same problem with Babylon. Could not locate it in Control Panel Add and Remove programs or in extensions. I found one tip elsewhere that I should try removing all of ad-ons that are unfamiliar for me until Babylon is gone but after doing it for several hours gave up.

  • I spent a lot of time trying to make Firefox remember my home page, but whenever I load the browser I get Babylon homepage

I contacted you before on Babylon. I have reset your browser and your Internet Explorer browser, but nothing has worked so far.
I uninstalled Babylon and looked up solutions on the web.

    Please can you help me?

Hello birddog2, if your manual changes don't 'stick' after a restart of the browser, please make sure you have all associated Babylon extensions or other suspicious entries like 3 rd-party-toolbars currently installed under firefox > addons > extensions and the windows control panel (Babylon could install unwanted stuff that comes under the names 'browser Manager', "Browser Portector" (, 'Bprotector"'Object Installer', etc.) or in the control panel > programs section.

in the case, it does not resolve the issue please, try this: go to firefox > help > troubleshooting information > profile folder - "view folder", then a new window will open. in this search on a file named user.js window (it can be used to overwrite your custom settings). where it is present, delete or rename this file and then restart firefox.

  • How to uninstall Babylon?

I deleted control panal and now he's back!

Hello, please also go to firefox > addons > extensions and remove any suspicious entries (toolbars, the things that you have not intentionally, etc.) and have another look in the control panel windows / programs. Babylon also comes under the name of 'browser Manager', 'Bprotector', 'Object Installer', etc... also do a full scan of your system with the security software that you have in place.

Remove a toolbar that has supported your Firefox or the homepage search

later, you can install the searchreset addon to get rid of the more common than Babylon changes and other advertising software apply to firefox.

If you are not a trained professional make sure to enter in the register and the Master boot Record (as indicated in the answer above) because it can be very dangerous. I would try rather something else as the solutions below, it might be a little easier and you run the risk of damaging your Windows Installation permanently or loss of data.

  • How to remove babylon as home page?

I'm stuck with Babylon as a homepage. I used REVO to uninstall the toolbar, but something in the process must have gone wrong because the home page comes back. I cleaned up the About: config, as shown in the messages earlier (mstone, homepage and the new tab) and when I restart Firefox the first tab is firefox and the second Babylon. When I close and start firefox again and the first tab is Babylon and I'm at square one. The removal of the browser Manager was too technical for me and I dared not do.
    Any suggestions?

I removed the browser Manager (AND changed the About: config) and now Babylon does not return. The removal of the Manager of browser is very simple through programs - configuration.
Thanks for the support, I was about to give up on this one.

  • How to remove Babylon as my default search engine?

I removed from the control panel/programs/uninstall. It does not appear on Firefox-tools/add-ons/extensions or plugins. Yet, every time I click on 'new tab' is the default search engine. I also removed a cookie called Babylon. Still apears.

Hello rayfriesen, first of all please make sure you have uninstalled all components of Babylon in the control panel (it also runs under the name ("browser Manager', 'Bprotector', 'Object Installer'). You can then either install the searchreset addon to get rid of the problem, or manually reset the page that opens on each new tab.

enter Subject: config in the address bar of firefox (confirmed the message information where it appears), search for the preference named browser.newtab.url and right click and change the default (subject: newtab).

  • I'm finally rid of Babylon by resetting Firefox, then by choosing a theme, fonts, etc. on the page went ' ghost, but there is no add-on. How to get rid of him?

I had Babylon everywhere - ran a search in the registry and came up with a huge list. F3 got rid of all but 7, but these last 7 "wouldn't". I ran my Spybot but which failed to kill him. So I reset my Firefox and who apparently did the trick, because google search came, not Babylon, etc..

So I choose me fonts, and restore the appearance of my page with a theme and at a point when I loaded an and went on facebook there is no page background color, no line, no icons for 'like' or 'commentary' notifications on the toolbar in the left side upwards, etc.. I can't play words with friends because all that is visible are the letters - the Board of Directors is invisible.

Is this "ghostery" I read about who is an add-on? But the re-creation erased all my modules and I checked, and I show not all have.

In the accounts of my yahoo and gmail I have to spend on the areas where I think 'delete' is and wait that it pop to click on it. Even for the pull-down to answer, transfer, etc.

I went to my Shutterfly account and it was just strange - pulled up a card that I had just finished and you could see the front and back, but the top and bottom of the inside do not arise. And what showed was tiny, an inch or so wide and way more on the HR side (usually about 4 x 6 inches in the Center).

Please help me, I use this for work and it is making it impossible to do certain tasks.

Sorry I had to choose between YES or NO, because the truth is, IDK! It may or may not have worked, but I'm impatient and decided to just try to RESET a 2nd TIME. And who has worked, in fact, that she returned to more 'normal' research was the first reset and so far is going very well.
Thank you very much for taking the time to answer!
