Back to Vista

Hello. I've got this pavilion. Initially equipped with vista OEM. I have upgraded to Win 8, but marry to have a terrible time, adjusting, if I want to go back to Vista, that she was very happy with. Now, it's not that easy, leading the "Restore default" dvd I've got, no longer works, because this dvd is for Vista, and now I have 8 Win. Is there a way I can get my hands on Vista?

YES! I did it

I googled the string "windows cannot find a system volume that meets its criteria for installation" and found some success.

So, what I did, was to use the usb stick with Partition Wizard, and marked all except disks and partitions, that I was going to install Vista on as inactive and the C partition as active. I also removed all removable drives, AND all THE Usb thingy is connected to my pc. BOOM! That's

Thanks guys, for Vista-by-Usb, for the Partition Wizard, for your time and for your efforts. Problem solved. The happy wife, aka I'm happy

    Hiya,

    My son has recovered a part a little Trojan, it only would not let us go in safe mode or restore. The only thing we could do was to completely clear all & use the disks to reinstall again. Simple normally... but this time it wont run something else that XP now, I tried 5 times to reinstall from backup disks to return to Vista and it freezes just the farthest, I managed to get was the installation of updates, but it froze once again to 25% on the portion of the Net framework update.

    His market on XP at full speed now, but if I try to put Vista slot via the backup of disks it takes about 5 minutes so he can perform an action, slow is not the word.

    I want to just go back to Vista and now completely lost, why used it keep running Vista?

    Anyone any idea?

    Hello

    If I understand your question; you have installed Win XP on the laptop, but you want to install Vista, but Vista freezes and is slow is it good?

    What cell phone do you have?
    As far as I know the books supports the new SATA controller.
    This means that you need the SATA driver to install the Windows operating system.

    You can change the compatible SATA mode in the BIOS. This will allow you to install the Vista and other operating systems Windows without the SATA drivers, BUT this will slow down the performance of the HARD disk!
    This is perhaps the reason for your question

    Hey,.

    I'll have the touchpad jumpy condition where I'd like to just turn off my touchpad because I use my mouse anyway, but since I installed a version of the legitimacy of Windows 7 to get rid of Vista I am unable to do anything with my mouspad.

    Fn + F9 key does not work and I can not get the touchpad settings.

    I know I can fix it by going back to vista, but it will not happen, if anyone knows any solutions?

    Hello

    First of all, it would be interesting to know what laptop you have.
    Second, you must install the driver for the touchpad for gt touchpad work.

    In addition the Support Toshiba utility map Flash must be installed to get the FN keys to work.
    Flash card utility is portable independent tool and you can use a spell to Satellite L500

    I did it on my A200 and it worked...

  • Can satellite L300-29V - I roll back to Vista after installing XP?

    Simple question: assuming I made the recovery discs, is it possible to erase Vista, install XP and then re install Vista using recovery disks? The laptop is a Satellite L300-29V.

    A big thank you in advance I can see no clear answer elsewhere.

    Hello

    If you created the recovery disc, you can do what you want. Why? Very simple: the recovery disk contains an image of the factory settings. This means that the version of Vista pre-installed with all the drivers and tools. It is him you even have started the laptop, the first time.

    You can install XP, Linux or whatever you want. Demarrer start from the recovery disk, follow the instructions on the screen and you go back to Vista.

    I hope this information is useful for you.

    Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a set of vista recovery disc

    they do it for a nominal cost

    also ask them if you have a recovery partition on your hard disk to reinstall vista back to factory standards

    you normally start the recovery at startup process by pressing F10 or F11 etc.

    Ask them of the correct key sequence

    and see if the information on the link below applies to you on the windows.old folder

  • Back to Vista after not authentic Windows 7 was installed

    a friend installed a copy of windows 7 ultimate in gift, now is to show that counterfeiting;

    I want to go back to vista, but it was removed from my laptop,

    How can I download a copy of vista and use my original key to activate it, preferably without any cost more

    Really, the only option is to contact the manufacturer of the computer and get a set of recovery disc for a small fee (no cost) to restore your system back to factory conditions.  It would be a pure install so be sure that you have backed up your important data (programs, settings and updates will have to be re-installed).  Another option is to find someone with an Installation disc full Vista genuine in the same size of the bit and use it to do the installation with your original key (assuming that the key was for a full installation - if it was an upgrade, you must install and activate the original operating system first and then perform the upgrade - you can not use a key to upgrade to a full installation).

    There is no download legal, free Vista product from anywhere.

    Here is Microsoft's policy on replacement software: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/326246/en-us.  As you can see, it won't be a big help in this situation if you want to avoid or at least minimize costs.

    I'm sorry, we can not help you more, but these are your options.

    Good luck!

  • Back to Vista Basic Vista Home Premium Edition.

    My son accidentally downloaded the upgrade to Vista Home Premium on our computer that originally had Vista Basic. Now the computer won't let other windows functions work and started the system asks the Home Premium product key. I want to just go back to Vista Basic and remove the Vista Home Premium. How can I do this without being able to use all the other features of windows (start is not yet on the screen)?

    You will need to do a reinstall of Vista Basic.

    How to get Vista recovery Media and/or to use the Vista recovery Partition on your computer.

    There is no Vista free download legal available.

    Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.

    Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.
    See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.
    Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...
    Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    You can also make recovery disk/s for the recovery Partition in case of a system Crash or hard drive failure.

    They will tell you how to do this.

    Every computer manufacturer has their way of doing recovery disk/s.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, etc).
    A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
    The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.
    There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.
    If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):
    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu
  • Factory reset, it will find windows 7 upgade or roll back to Vista?
    Hello, I want to install an SSD and need to do a factory reset first. When I bought this Vaio had Vista on it, and later I paid Sony for the upgrade of Windows 7 which is a download.
    If I go through the factory reset on the recovery partition it back to Vista or Windows 7 will keep?
    Thanks for any help
    IF it had Vista on it, then you guessed it the restore partition would be for this OS, unless you changed it so it would restore a vanilla Vista OS
    New computers that come pre-installed with Windows 7 or Windows Vista often have what is called a recovery partition. This is used to reinstall an operating system in the case of a system failure. To access it, you need to start when you start your computer by pressing a function key. This can be either F1, F2, F9, F10, F11, F12 key DEL or tab. See the manual that came with your PC for instructions on how to reinstall Windows.
    If your recovery partition is not available or damaged, you must contact the manufacturer of your computer, and request that a defined recovery disk you can use to reinstall Windows 7. They could practice a small shipping and handling.
    ------------------------------------
    This is how the recovery partition is available for the most popular brands
    For Dell, press CTRL + F11 directly after switching on the device
    For HP, press F11 directly after switching on the device
    For Toshiba, press and hold "0" BEFORE and during the power upward
    For Acer, press and hold ALT + F10, as soon as you see the logo
    For Asus, press F9, as soon as you see the Asus logo.
    Advent, restart your computer. Then, press F10 repeatedly until the message "Starting system recovery"
