backup from iPad to iTunes without setting up as new

How can I save my iPad from 6 months to my computer for the first time using iTunes without setting it up as a new iPad?

I offer the choice to restore a backup of my iPad 3 (certainly are not) or to implement the iPad Pro as a new device. I'm assuming this option, all on my iPad, which all can be saved to iCloud, is erased.

ICloud purchase more storage for this one-time backup is not an option because of the sensitive information that I don't want in iCloud.

Bonus question: my iPad Pro use the same Apple ID and has some items synchronized in iCloud, then why wasn't the option to restore this backup offered (even if I don't want that).

Windows 7

iPad iOS Pro 9.3.2

56 GB used, sync that would increase when the rest of my iTunes library (not all available for download again).

You don't have to restore anything. You should be able to go directly to the area of backups on summary in iTunes screen, select backup on this computer, then select NTI Backup Now.

  • How do I restore the backup from iPad Mini if the button "restore backup...". "is grayed out?

    Hello

Yesterday, I tried to downgrade my iPad Mini 2 (128 GB) of 9.3 to 9.2 of iOS in DFU mode. Before that, I backed up my iPad in iTunes. After decommissioning, apparently all of my 3rd party apps have been wiped out, and that left me with a huge 'other' part of the use of the iPad. So I decided to reset the iPad and erase everything. I noticed that after the reset, the iOS returned to 9.2.1.

When I plugged the iPad to my computer later, and tried to restore the backup, I got the message "the backup cannot be restored for iPad because the software is too old". In addition, in the iTunes iPad summary page, the button "restore backup... "is grayed out.

I guess it's because I backed up my iPad to iOS 9.3, and now it's 9.2.1. But y at - it another way to restore backup of iTunes? Or do I have to update to 9.3 first? iOS 9.3 is currently unavailable (last week it was, however).

    Thank you!

You cannot restore a more recent iOS backup on a device that has an older iOS. You have saved when running iOS 9.3 and your device is now in 9.2.1. You must update the device until backup, you can ise. Unfortunately, as you know, the update is no longer available. Apple shoot because there were significant problems.

  • Can I change a POP3 account existing IMAP account without setting up a new account requiring a new e-mail address?

The instructions in Thunderbird help advise that it is necessary to get a new e-mail address to set up the new IMAP accouint. I would use the existing e-mail address.

It is simply not true. I have Setup several times the same duplicate in Thunderbird, a POP and an IMAP account.

There are ambiguities about what means 'email account '. In this context, it will be the same email account, but using a different connection to negotiate with the server.

Once you have set up, your email account exists, whether you use it or not. The default value of 'existence' is likely to be in your email provider's website. You have an email address and there is that a supplied server somewhere who is willing to accept messages for you. If this account is added to Thunderbird does not affect its basic existence.

In Thunderbird, we talk about setting up e-mail accounts, but here you make an entry to allow Thunderbird to access your account. So tell you him about your e-mail account and where to connect to the server to use. Thunderbird can make this connection using POP, IMAP, or even both at the same time.

The 'final paragraph' is intended, in my opinion, for those who have had an e-mail account with a single supplier and I now turn to another provider and a new account e-mail (address). This is a warning that if they just delete the old account in Thunderbird, its content will fade. You must keep the content by copying them elsewhere before deleting the account. In fact you don't need to remove the old account , but you will be regularly harassed by Thunderbird complaining about his inability to connect to the server.

Go to file | New | Existing e-mail account, add your account again but let Thunderbird select "IMAP".

Now copy (select, drag-and-drop or use the right-click |) Move to) the content from your old account POP-connected to the new. I'm assuming that you change in IMAP because you want to access your messages from more than one device, so want some, if not all of your accumulated messages visible.

If for some reason you are not able to set up IMAP-connected version until you have deleted or closed the older POP login account, then you can instead store messages from the account based on POPS in Thunderbird local folders, delete the old account POP, then add your account to e-mail again but this time it allows to select an IMAP connection. Then you can move your messages to local folders into folders to the new account.

  • Synchronization and backup from iPad to the computer using iTunes

Since the last update, last week, did someone else with problems of synchronization/backup of their Air iPad with their computer via iTunes?  iPad OS 10.0.2, iMac OS X Lion 10.7.5 Air (updates is no longer available for this computer). I had no problem before this last update.  -Pop-up message on the computer: "iTunes could not connect to the iPad...". my name... because an invalid response was received from the device. ' Pop up message on the iPad at the same time: "trust to this computer?  Your settings and your data will be available from this computer when connected.  "Option click on TRUST or don't trust.   I clicked on the TRUST several times without success.  Please help me if you can.  Thank you.

There is no alternatives that save to iCloud instead of it, or upgrade your software and/or hardware to run a newer version of iTunes.  iOS 10 requires iTunes 12.5.1 find which demands in turn 10.9.5 OSX or newer.

  • How to recover photos from the iPad after restore without backup?

So, days ago I had to change my iPad password and I did it, but after a few hours when I tried to open my iPad I just forgot what has changed the password, so I had to restore my iPad (recovery mode), I have a backup or something so everything was gone except a few contacts I tried everything and program of recovery, but nothing works, I really need my pictures back, they resemble 3000 photos, I tried something else it is to recover from iPad directly and thus I need to show the iPad as a driver in my PC, but it does not appear, I hear that ding when I connect the iPad but it is not listed as a disk driver , iTunes recognizes it, no problem, Apple mobile device services are running, I downloaded a program to transfer iPhone-APC and recognizes devices, my iPhone appears but my iPad is not, I don't know what to do anymore, I just need my pictures back, they come from 2013 and I am really sad to lose them.

    Anyone has a solution, please?

An iPad is not designed to mount as a drive, so it will not appear in Windows Explorer (unless there are non-informatiques pictures synced to it).

You had never backed up the iPad, iTunes on your computer, or in the cloud? If not, and if recovery programs you have tried do not work, then you have lost pictures.

  • iPad Air reset without iTunes or password?

I had a situation where my iPad (bought new 2014) Air has been reset three times in the last 4 weeks, where the iPad was blocked from password and not plugged into iTunes, it occurs by a person who is not the password something but they are not able to tell me how...

At the start of my iPad asks if I want to set up as a new device or restore from a backup, fortunately my iPad has been saved, however I need new codes of software for the software work at every opportunity that is a painful process.

I would like to know how it is possible to reset without the access code or iTunes? I tried to find an answer in the questions already however no seem to adapt to my situation

Other can prevent the person to physically access the iPad, is there any way I can prevent it in the future?

Unfortunately once the iPad is disabled it is not possible to reset without involving the use of iTunes on a computer - it is the safety net

Your choice is to stop that person to have access to your device

  • iPad restore from iCloud on iTunes

    Nice day

    • I tried to update my iPad IOS 10,
    • the iPad has frozen.
    • After research, I managed to reset iPad
    • Now I would like to restore the last backup - of the iCloud (September 1, 2016)
    • This backup is not on my list of possible restorations, only a rather old backup from April
    • I downloaded and installed IOS .ipsw 9
    • The iCloud backup is still missing;
    • I have an iCloud account - 1 TB, so space is not a problem

On my iCloud account: (System Preferences)

However, this update is not available on my list in iTunes.

Has anyone else encountered this problem?  and if so, were you able to solve I have?  - and how?

    Thank you.

If you have saved using iCloud instead of iTunes, you must restore via iCloud and not through iTunes.

  • How to add music to iTunes without copying the music files

How to add music to iTunes without music copied to an iTunes Media folder or anywhere else?

I read the answer is to go into the advanced settings and uncheck "Copy files to iTunes Media when adding to library". Which is excellent and this option is not checked, but iTunes keep copy of the music into an iTunes Media folder...

Anything ripped CD, converted, downloaded from the iTunes Store or added via the automatically add to iTunes folder will eventually iTunes Media. If you add a folder of files stored outside the media folder and the option is disabled, then iTunes should not be generating copies in the media folder. Can you describe a specific example where you can see the new arrival before and after importation?

As a backup to one side and the migration of an iTunes library is much easier if all the content is organized inside the iTunes Media folder, but this is no reason not to try and find out why things are not behave correctly for you now.

All applications that I never downloaded all the photos I've ever taken since 2005 and I want to restart without remove ALL account iCloud himself. I always want to do a backup, I don't want it on my phone. I want to start fresh on my phone, but I tried to reset my phone under settings. I have just reset settings that did not 'you can't cancel it "because I don't want to lose all the photos I've ever taken." I always want to iCloud saving it just in case I need it someday, but I don't want any of this on my phone. I tried all means of security who do not say "you can't cancel" I still images and apps on my phone.

You would be able to restore an old backup him later, but doing so will wipe everything that is currently on the phone. There is no way to combine.

  • Need to backup all programs and files without the System Image

    Hi all

Recently, I myself in a dilemma. I installed 4 additional disks with the intention of creating a RAID volume supported by the BIOS. To do this, I need to change the BIOS setting of the controller which includes all the volumes, including my boot drive (that I don't intend to RAID). The problem I have is that when I pass the UEFI to RAID controller, Windows Recovery will not use the System Image I did. He said that the volume was created under a different arrangement (Bios vs. EFI).

What are my options? Is there a different backup setting, which allows to keep all my installed software? I am not concerned with the data that I can copy it to an external volume, but it would take several days to get all of my software reinstalled. I would like to avoid this. I guess I'll have to reinstall Windows Pro 8.1 and then use a backup program to restore everything. If this is the case, then I need to know which backup program will work. If there is a better way, I would like to know. I see my options in the form, get another backup program, get a map of controller for the boot drive or the RAID volume or just reinstall.

    Thank you
