• Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit hangs during antivirus and backup system analysis

Last night, before retiring for the night, I noticed that Microsoft Security Essentials icon is yellow and warning me that my computer was in danger and had not been scanned for viruses for awhile.   • Open a command prompt.

  For a single backup so I advise to use the standard installation of Microsoft to copy files to a CD/DVD (note that you cannot use Windows backup because it does not support optical media). This will depend on how well organized your file structure is how easy or difficult, this process will be.
