Backup to win 8 OS?

It is important to make a backup of my operating system Windows 8 on DVD, because I don't have any CD/DVD to win 8 with my computer hp laptop 2000-2202TU?

Hello

Yes, it is important to create your set of recovery discs, as they will be a permanent copy of your operating system - for example, they will allow you to reinstall Windows 8 If you already had to change the hard disk or Partition on your HARD drive recovery current did not work properly.

You can find a guide on creating these discs on the following link.

Create recovery discs - Windows 8.

I found the solution to my problem - cannot restore Windows XP backup file (BKF) files.

Site Web Sysinfo Tools offer tools to repair/restore BKF utility.  In my case, I got the program of BKF recover V2.0.  Program works on all versions of Windows (up to Windows 7).

BKF recovery program reads Windows XP generated backup file, repair and then restore the files, very fast and efficient.

Mangomama wrote: upgrade to Windows 7 from vista. I can crush the HP of Vista backup for Win 7 backup?  Do I have to reformat the partition?

Hello Mangomama, sorry to say that can't be done. The HP Recovery Restore partition can not be changed in any way and always serve later.

If you want to or need to partition D: factory with Vista and all your other software preloaded, you can delete this partition and recover the capacity of this partition.

If you have the game to restore HP Recovery disks, you can remove this partition and at a later time you ever wanted to put the system back as it was during the expedition, you could use the game of disc HP Recovery restore and restore the system to factory State.

  • Win 7 repair disk does not start

Pegatron Motherboard-IPIWB-PB (Pittsburg) Audio Beats. AMD, the Radeon HD 7570 1 GB graphics card.

    I need some advice:

Can you direct me to a HP solution or tell me what I'm doing wrong?

I opened Control Panel - backup and restore and set up a backup schedule Win 7. Created a backup drive, and according to the instructions, a system image on a separate hard drive. This has been created successfully.

I have so successfully by the operating system, created an ERD in Windows 7 bootable, the screen guests said that this disc could be used to start the computer when you cannot start the operating system due to serious errors. This disk allows you to restore the system from a system image created using backup and restore or use other recovery tools to correct the problem that prevents windows from starting.

The system does not start on this disc. I did two restorations of the factory and went through the steps above, five times without success.

When you try to start the system with the Windows 7 repair disk the following steps were taken:

1 Win7 disc repair, system rebooted, you press ESC, selected the Boot Manager, select DVD disc and received the following message: boot nonsystem disc error.

2 rebooted system. escape, Startup Manager, then selected sata2 with no luck. Same error message as in (1).

    Thank you

    Hi Dave,.

    Thanks again for your help.

Bought a WD a terabyte HD Executed a copy sector by sector, using Paragon... It was quick (about ten minutes-amazing) and I answer to you, now, using the WD HD clone.

Awesome! I finally took possession of this computer.

I would say that the problem has been resolved. Windows 7 repair disc will not work on EFI systems and here's workaround.

    Thanks again.

  • Remove Win 8 and reinstall Win 7

I want to buy a new PC only supplied with Win 8 pre-installed, and I would like to replace it with Win 7 (32-bit, I can upgrade to 64 - bit later if I can do it) and avoid having to re - install all my software application.  I was wondering if the following actions are possible and would result in a system that works with Win 7.

    (1) use Windows Easy Transfer to save on everything, to install Win 7 on my drive purchased copy (not an upgrade), to restore from the Windows Easy Transfer.

    Or

    (2) create a system image on an external USB drive (I do already this week as a backup), install Win 7 on the purchased copy, then restore from system image booting from a system repair disc.

    Or

    (3) just boot from a system repair disc and restore by using the image of the system on the USB.

I guess I have to contact MS support to change the license for the new PC.

It would be necessary to reformat first at a low level to remove all partitions created for the installation of Win 8?

None of the tasks you describe can achieve what you want - it will have to reinstall all your applications.

1 easy transfer is simply a tool for transferring system settings not nothing else.

2.3 an image restore restores the system drive in the State in which it was at the time wherever the image was made.  Restore an image completely replaces the contents of the drive.  Restore an image restores the operating system in use when the image was made.

2, 3 [more] in case you considered the use of the image of your Win7 existing to restore to your new computer, you can usually not an image on a system and then restore it to another [as a way to avoid the installation of the application] that all pilots of the system component will be wrong and the system may not work quite well with bad drivers to allow you to work through update drivers for good.  Acronis TI 2015 says he can manage this process and the claim might be true, as far as I know.

If you install a 32 bit OS and you subsequently install a 64 bit OS [assuming that your system can handle], change requires an installation not complete an upgrade which will overwrite the system drive.

Given the delays, you might well be better off waiting for Windows 10 be released and then upgrade your computer to this new operating system.  Alternatively, if you can wait a few months, you could buy a new computer with Windows 10 already installed.

If you are determined to install Windows 7 so be very careful who you buy from that there are a lot of fakes for sale.  Amazon would be a cheap but reliable supplier Amazon, eBay and a stall in your local market may not be.  Buy from someone you can count on to complain to in three years if the licence proves to be invalid - these sellers would not likely to sell you a fake in the first place.

Change a BONE *, it's always a big step.  Among your preparations should be checked only

1 the PC manufacturer provides drivers for the 32/64 bit OS you want to change

2 the manufacturer of material for your devices [your printer and scanner] provides 32/64-bit drivers for the operating system you want to change

3 your application software runs in your desired 32/64 bit OS.

    * The move from a 32-bit to 64-bit OS would be as serious because if you think about that, for example, drivers unable to your material even if 64-bit 32-bit drivers are available.

  • CustomRefresh.win

I have a CustomRefresh.win that is 10.5 GB which of course was created when I upgraded to Win 8 (based on the "update").  If I read it correctly, "Refresh your PC" to win 8 uses this file (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2748351?wa=wsignin1.0).

    I have two questions.

    1. because it appears that the file has not been updated for 6 months, do I really need?

    2. If I make a new Refresh personalized to reflect my current setup, it just overwrite the old?

Since it is something new to me, I don't want to mess with it without a fair idea of what he will do.

I tried the other backup features Win 8, but they want more space I have available. This sounds like it would give me anything I want in less space. However, the summary is a bit vague.

    Hello

You must keep a continuously updated CustomRefresh.wim file.

The reason is that if you use the file that was originally created when installing Windows 8, you will lose all your programs and applications that were installed after Windows 8.

If you create a new file, all programs and applications that have been installed up to the date on which the file is created will be part of the update when you use this option.

It is a recovery option to have excellent disaster.

    See the following topics.

To create a custom Refresh Image, perform the following steps.

Important: Quit all running programs. If you are using a portable computer, plug the power adapter while you create the image.

    1. press theWindows key + X to display the System menu and select thecommand (Admin) prompt.

2 in thecommand window, type the following command.

    recimg.exe /createimage C:\RecoveryImage

    Press enter.

(Note the 2 spaces in the command)

The process of creating displays 4 steps.

    Initialization - 100%

    Creating snapshot - 100%

    A picture writing - 100%

    Saving Image - 100%

    Note:
drafting stage will not start immediately and will take about 30-45 minutes to complete, the other 3 stages are very fast.

Once the command has completed, open Windows Explorer and navigate to the C:\RecoveryImage folder. You should see a file named CustomRefresh.wim.

It is recommended to create an image of custom occasionally refresh to update changes made to the computer.

  • VCB backup snapshot or virtual machine?

    Hello

Workflow of VCB, I read these procedures frequently and I'm confused by what backup software is stored:

".....  Put the virtual machine snapshot mode and take a snapshot.

.. .Mount snapshot of the VM for the proxy backup (to win)

.. software backup .the performs a regular backup of the snapshot of the virtual machine moving data from backup media... »

So I wonder what backup software is saved: any virtual machine or virtual machine snapshot? and why?

And for linux, it will export (copy) the snapshot of the machine the VCB proxy virtual of the SAN. If a single snapshot is stored to the proxy of VCB mount point, why VCB proxy must have enough space to contain the largest virtual machine?

Can someone give me some clarification?

    LAN

    To clearify:

In the world of VMware ESX, a snapshot is the same as the 'entire virtual machine' as you say. It's just the disks 'frozen' in a State of know. VCB can then move up and back up this disk (or copy it to the VCB proxy) while the virtual machine is placing the changed data in the temporary file. Some people refer to this temporary file that the file 'snapshot', while the other, see you in the frozen file as the 'snapshot' file, and creates confusion for users/students. A 'snapshot' is simply the functionality described above.

When the backup action is finalized, VCB tells vCenter to "remove the snapshot" which actually means that the data in the temporary file are merged with the 'frozen' disk that is then back 'defrosted' and put into live operation.
