Bad language

I have the UK edition of Thunderbird 24.4.0

When I saw an email or open in a new widow, in the header section where it shows who is the email, it says ' a: "instead of"To"." I think it's by mistake in German instead of English.

Is there a language config file that I can edit?

TIA

First setup your account in the new profile.

For IMAP accounts, you are finished. For POP and accounts on behalf of local folders, you can install this add-on and import the files of mail of the old profile into the new. Note e-mail files are mbox files.

If you have tons of files, this can be a time-consuming procedure, then we can look for other ways to do it.

  • By default, Firefox spellchecker bad language

I've read many threads of the forum on this subject, but none of them solved my problem.
The spellchecker of Firefox highlights almost every word I type - I discovered that its spellchecker language is set to French.
So, in the options, I deleted all the dictionaries as English. The problem persisted.
I think the problem might be that I lived in France when I originally installed Firefox - even if I chose the version English and my computer is in English. I am now back in the United Kingdom. I downloaded the English UK version and installed as an update. That did not work.
I also completely uninstalled the app (I thought), restarted the computer and reinstalled the English version - but when I opened it, all my favorites etc were exactly as before and the problem persists.
Anyone offer a solution? I really need the spell check function and I really want to come back to Chrome...
    I use Firefox 41.0 on a Windows 7 laptop.
    Thanks in advance.

Hello again. My problem is solved! I found that I could right-click on email gmail window and select the language here - it was fixed in French rather than English. So now, everything seems to work very well. Thanks a lot for your help.

  • Bad language in the word prediction

    Hello

So I bought recently an iPhone used 6 and I'm still discovering weird problems with it. When I go to my research Instagram and explores feed, I keep seeing these memes in Turkish? Most of the posts I see in pet food is in Turkish, and I checked that the people that I follow do not like these messages or whatever it is associated with these "memes". I tapped on the option "See less messages like this" and since then, the amount of these positions has declined.

Now, I have another problem. I was talking to a friend on iMessage and in boxes of word prediction, there was some Turkish words being predicted. I have only 2 keyboards: English and Emoji. My language and region settings are at the Estonia, where I live and the phone language is English. Is no mention of "Turkish", but everything I do or everywhere wherever I go on my iPhone, I keep seeing "Turkish".

I do not think that the phone is jailbroken or anything, so could you please help solve me this problem? It really bothers me and something tells me I'm being hacked, but I'm sure that's not the case.

    Thank you in advance,

    Metahri

IF the phone is relatively new, you certainly delete all the phone and reset it. It will get rid of all problems and it will be much safer.

  • Re: Windows 7 Upgrade came with the bad language!

I have a Portege with Vista Business, Russian local. I ordered windows 7 Professional upgrade, but it came with the Greek regional settings. TOSHIBA Upgade language Russian and marked as RU, but Windows 7 Upgade disc recording is marked as EU2. All I know is there no option to change the regional settings in Windows 7 Pro. Now I have vista or win 7, as Portege comes with win Xp recovery disk. Your suggestions?

Contact Toshiba still and explain the situation. I don't know that you can clarify this soon.

By the way: why you don't have Vista now if you wrote in your first sentence don't have Portege with Vista Business?
Continue to use this version of Vista until you get just Win7 upgrade disk.

  • Had bad language Win 7 Pro installed, how can I change

I had a computer built for my mother and clicked to have Win 7 Pro 64-bit installed. We don't speak Spanish so this computer is basically useless for us. The company that built the system and installed the operating system says that I can not get the OS exchanged once it is installed. So, how can I get a pack of English language installed on this box in order to make it relevant to my mother?

    @TFSole: See...

Windows 7 language packs are available for computers that are running Windows 7 ultimate or Windows 7 Enterprise

  • Bad language again download driver printer all in one

I am running Win 7 64 bit, have an All In One Photosmart C6300 on a home network. All I want to do is download updated drivers, but because I live in Germany download is in German. Why? How can I change this? The HP Support page has a window that asks if I want to continue in English, no problem. I thought using the new, U.S.-based VPN would solve this type of problem, but not

All help out there (other than to take over German lessons)?

    Hello

The language settings are taken from the OS configuration.

Check the operating system language settings:

    1. Enter Control Panel (icon view)
    2. Click the icon of the region and language
    3. Open the Administration tab
    4. Click change system box
    5. Change the current region of the system in English (USA)
    6. Reboot your PC and start the installation once more.

Please let me know of any questions,

  • HP officejet j3680 bad language unable to find preferences

the printer MENU is in a language I can't read... all your documentation says to select the Preferences menu, if I could read the language that would work... Please I need to know which key presses in what sequence will pick me up at the right menu and then how do I select English... the only other solution is to trash this printer and buy another

    Hi steve1mac,

I understand that your Officejet J3680 is on the wrong language. I'll try my best to scroll you to language change.

Press the Setup button, then you will need to press the right arrow key 6 times to access the preferences screen and press ok, first one that appears should be the Set language & country so press ok again, then you can scroll languages to find the English.

If this does not work, do you know what language it's showing now? If it's in the letters, I could try to translate it, to see if we could figure out from there.

Good luck and please let me know how it goes.

    Thank you

  • The bad language displayed on the LCD after you set up the printer

HP Photosmart C4450 all-in-one printer Solution Center keeps popping up the following:

"The wrong language displayed on the LCD after you set up the printer.

The printer has been upward and works well for months and all of a sudden it stopped working and refusing to speak English.

It is totally insensitive to one of the buttons pressed. The LCD screen is white and gray just glowing.

How can I solve this problem?

Thanks in advance for any help.

    Hello

I don't know how your printer got himself into this difficult situation, but I think a reset should back you on track.

I think this could work to its original factory settings to install your printer.

To do a complete reset follow these steps:

    1. disconnect the power cable from the back of the printer.

2 do nothing for about 30 seconds.

3 press and hold the Cancel & color copy, keep their detention now connect the power cord to the back of the printer.

This should be left to the printer to the condition, it is in when you took it out of the box.

    I hope this helps.

  • ThinkVantage System Update - bad language

I am running ThinkVantage System Update 4 (4.00.0030) on Windows 7 Pro x 64 and I have the same problem. The program uses the locale FORMAT for updates. It's the first option on the tab in the regional settings (not your regional setting an input language or your settings system locale locale). Why, I've found a good answer to this? The problem seems to persist since the first versions of the system update; We are at version 4... common! ?

You can actually replace the language GUI update system by changing the value of this registry key:

    For Win 7 x 64:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Lenovo\System Update\LanguageOverride

    For x 86 (32 bit) version, I think that's the key:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Lenovo\System Update\LanguageOverride

... in the language of your choice (EN, IT,...).

Unfortunately, it's just the GUI, not the language for system update will retrieve updated from the server. The program will always use your locale FORMAT for this.

I've read a lot of post on the topic but did not find a good solution. The language of software and downloaded drivers must be recovered according to the language setting of the operating system, not on the date, time, and number formats. If it's too hard to get the right setting of a multilingual system, why not just put a configurable language option? Is Lenovo will solve the problem?

For now, the workaround is to set stupidly regional setting in the 'language' Format you want before starting the system update and set it to your preferred format, when all updates are installed. A better idea?

P.S. A mod could rename and move this topic in the ThinkPad Forum, please, because I think it's more related to the software update system as the X series laptops

KEPT showing in Japanese even after uninstalling, affecting same language/region started English American, redownloading and put it back.  Registry change above is the only thing that fixed it for me.  He correctly set the default language to EN, but for some reason any just SU would not display in English.  This is a new installation of Windows 8.1 Pro Pack with Media Center English version with Japanese IME installed.  SU version 5.06.0007.  To be really a language setting in the program preferences.

PS: This thread is the first entry if you Google a solution to this problem.

The dictionary preferences have nothing to do with the text in your document. The text of the document is assigned a language through a paragraph or character, or immediately through the character Panel style.

I recently bought a Photosmart C4500 and managed to set the German language during the initial installation, if someone could tell me how to go back to English, or to perform a factory reset, I would be grateful.
