Bad old Firefox version 3.6 shows to the internet while using the last version 17
I use Firefox latest version 17 but on the internet it tells me that I would use Firefox 3.6.
My PC is an Intel Duo Core processor of 2007 on Windows XP Service Pack 3.
How is this possible and how to solve this problem?

Your user agent string has been altered in the past when you were using Firefox 3.6 and it has not been updated since. Try reading some sites say that Firefox is obsolete or incompatible, even if it's the latest version

McAfee Site Advisor 3.3.1 expansion was the number 2 cause accidents in one of the versions beta Firefox 5.0 and Mozilla Blocklisted it. This extension is disabled in Firefox 5, Firefox 6.0beta and Firefox 7.0alpha versions. McAfee is working on a new version of re-written extension of the Site Advisor to solve their problems - ETA is mid to late July.

I formatted my PC and re-installed Firefox I saved application data about the configuration of firefox, after having reinstalled everything on pc and install firefox I can see my old tabs from last session, but when I say delete and or to make new tabs and option tools States still show my windows and last time labels , I then restart my pc and when firefox loads again the session is loaded from a former session before the format, I have create new sessions and the Firefox saves when I close and open them but whenever I restart my pc it still load pre format sessions. How can I make normal firefox once again without wiping my application data, passwords and settings and re - install the program? There must be a way.
You can check for problems with the sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak files in the profile folder of Firefox that store session data.
Delete the sessionstore.js file possible sessionstore-# .js files with a number and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox profile folder.

Delete sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and tab groups and opened and closed the tabs (back) to get lost, so you will need to create them again (take note or bookmarks).

Why the tabs have now several images showing after the last updated favicon?
The last update for Firefox has created a problem with the tabs. The tabs now have multiple images of the websites favicon projection. When I open a tab and visit a Web site, when the favicon shows then it creates multiple images of this favicon. When I click the tab and then back on it, they disappear, but obviously, this should not happen and did not begin until the last update has been installed. I even did an update and it does not solve the problem. I tried to upload an image, but the region has just a spinning wheel and the size of the image was only 5,41 kb. Apparently that doesn't work so well either. It seems that Mozilla Firefox has created a few bugs for its browser and help forum.
If anyone knows how to fix this or get Mozilla to solve their problem, it would be appreciated. Thank you!
You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.
- Tools > Options > advanced > General > Browsing: "use hardware acceleration when available.
You will need to close and restart Firefox after enabling/disabling this setting.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.
- Put yourself in the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance
- Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode safe

When I close Firefox, windows that were open when I closed Firefox are still open, when I click on a link to open a new window. I cleared my history and cookies and even uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox but that did not work. I had this problem since upgrading to version 29. This isn't the only problem I have had with version 29. Anyone else had problems with version 29?
I ended up going in the settings to erase history and define it for clear history when Firefox closes and you select to erase history and kitchen and browsing history, the closing of Firefox. Now the links work very well and the last page I was watching until I closed Firefox is gone when it opens again. Problem solved!

I have 5 Lightroom on my laptop, but I want to use it on my new iMac. I downloaded the version even on my iMac, and now when I am trying to enter my serial number (from my laptop), the 4 last digits are only show as: "xxxx"... it is IM showing me the first 20 digits of the serial number, but not the last 4. Why? Help please!
Again, I should have looked into it more before posting. At through my emails and found in there when I bought it all first.

Menu Spry missing first submenus, but showing only the last.
Hello, I'm doing a site for a school project and I have a spry menu code that looks good, but when it is turned on, when you move the menu, submenus are empty except for the last.
Here's what it looks like on a mode live view:
Above war-torn project are three submenus. They have the text, but will not appear. My other menus do the same thing. For personal reasons, I will not not to publish the entire site because of his real name, address, contact, etc.

I guess you have your SpryAssets responsible, including the javascript file concerning it. Also, check the bottom of your swap file for the javascript code specific to this menu bar. Spry menus come with three components, the call to the head of the document for the javascript files and css, the structure itself in the body of the document and javascript code at the bottom of the body (before the tag).
Javascript is not published (and not for the faint of heart); the css controls the menu bar similar to and can be edited with care, and this at the bottom of the page (for example), defining the new variable in the menu bar:

Since my last update Firefox does not work on my homepage. It opens on the last vision I've been on. I checked the settings, made sure it was supposed to open on my homepage, but it won't.

Firefox said it works already, since the last update of M$.
When I close Firefox, the window closes. But Firefox is still running as a task (65Meg or so assigned to it) and refuses to restart later.
That happened today with the last update of the "two important updates" from Microsoft.

Well, you were able to recover your files. I don't know where you have saved your files, but you can use the search function and search your favorites using this search term "bookmark *.» *«. It should be very probably a JSON extension file.
Once you find the file, use this link to help restore backups.
