'Bad' rate using sequences; should I redo?

I'm editing a movie and extra video features for the primary school my daughter 11-scene set Shakespearean.   Video was recorded on 10 year-okd miniDV Tape cameras installed at 29.97 FPS, 720 h 480v and the pixels.9091 NTSC format and features and the movie will be produced for DVD.  Am using the first Pro CS5.

I am in the phase final cleanings edit and only now realized that I put all my footage at a different rate: 23.976 fps.   Otherwise, the size and pixel size are the same.  (Apparently I used the model of sequence DV - 24 p instead of the model DV-NTSC and repeatedly cloned my mistake.  I am a true lover; I only use Premier Pro for the annual school play.)

To get the best quality possible, based on what I've read I think I need to go back and recreate sequences using the frame corresponding to the sequence rate. Quality is important because I have no margin for degradation through the use of old devices of remote recording and recording in some low light.scenes.

Epecially, reconstruction of the sequences will be a miserable prospect because I nested several sequences and used multicamera editing.

Or I would create unnecessary work for me?

I noticed that export to MPEG2-DVD allows two cadenzas.   I don't know the video technology enough to understand the implications to produce the film at a lower rate, if we DVD can be read on both modern and 12 years, TVs CRT televisions. (Guess which vintage I.)

I appreciate any guidance, even if to confirm the bad news.  I want to create the best possible DVD even if it needs work; the DVD will be a keepsake that will be cherished by these children and their families for years.

The nested sequence frame rate plays a role. Everything will, of course, be in line with the pace of your sequence of destination / final (or at least export your settings), but if you go to 60i to 24 p, then back to 60i won't look right at all.

The short answer is start more... at least on your blocking edits. Assuming that you did not have a TON of changes, this shouldn't be too much of your time, it's the BEST way to ensure your final export as good as possible.

Otherwise, because you put all your sequences nested in multicam 24 p sequences, if you don't have any time to do anything to solve this problem, you can just match your sequence settings to 24 p and the results will be not terrible. However, affecting your multicam sequence final 60i when all your nested sequences are 24 p is a good bit less than ideal.

I think at the VERY least you should look into it. just test a segment short if you are short on time, but you should test it however. If you can't tell ANY difference, then it should be fine.

I'll tell you with your 60i footage, a lot of freedom on the set regarding the mussels / reclining and other camera movements. As you conform to all the shots at 24 p, you will find CERTAINLY some stuttering on your camera movement, if it is far from slow smooth movement. It's just a part of the workflow for a 24 p film, it isn't a bug or a technical error.

But yes, you will really want to get everything back to the source frame rate if you have the time. Otherwise, choose your shortcut and be done with it.

  • Issue when inserting into a table using sequence in Oracle 11 g Rel 2

    Hi all

    I am facing problem when I insert sequence values in my table.
    When inserting, my sequence does not begin with the beginning with the value.
    Example Script

    CREATE SEQUENCE xyz_seq
    START WITH 1
    INCREMENT BY 1
    NOMAXVALUE
    MINVALUE 1
    NOCYCLE
    NOCACHE
    ALL;

    create table abc (a number not null);

    insert into abc (xyz_seq.nextval) values;

    Select *.
    ABC;

    xyz_seq sequence of fall;

    drop table abc;

    Output

    Order of creation.
    Table created.
    1 line of creation.

    ONE
    ----------
    2
    1 selected line.
    Sequence has fallen.
    Deleted table.

    I can't understand why this is inserting value 2, when my sequence should start at 1.

    To overcome that road, I implemented a different logic.
    Example of

    CREATE SEQUENCE xyz_seq
    START WITH 1
    INCREMENT BY 1
    NOMAXVALUE
    MINVALUE 1
    NOCYCLE
    NOCACHE
    ALL;

    create table abc (a number not null);
    declare
    x number (1): = xyz_seq.nextval;
    Start

    insert into abc (x) values.
    end;
    Select *.
    ABC;

    xyz_seq sequence of fall;

    drop table abc;

    Output

    Order of creation.
    Table created.
    PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.

    ONE
    ----------
    1
    1 selected line.
    Sequence has fallen.
    Deleted table.

    However, my question remains why referring to the sequence.nextval in my insert does not return me the beginning with the value.

    Kind regards
    Rishi

    That's what says the doc ;

     If you attempt to insert a sequence value into a table that uses deferred segment creation, the first value that the sequence returns will be skipped.

    It ignores the value 1 and returns 2.

    Greetings HP Forum,

    Recently, I replaced a bad hard drive on my laptop. I need now step by step procedure to extract usable data from the wrong drive using 22 pins adapter usb to SATA on the new HD.

    NOTE: I can't not all data that especially if some of the software downloaded on the replaced disk can be altered. Should I first download Internet Antivirus to protect my new hard drive? I'm not an expert, or even close to this when you work on the back of the laptop, so I'll have to step by step how to download and to partition the data recoverable and software, etc..

    Thanks in advance for your help... I greatly appreciate it!

    See you soon!

    Wes

    It is not complex. Attach the drive to the adapter and connect it to any other computer with good antivirus and antispyware installed. I use Malwarebytes and Avast. When you connect the adapter with the drive connected to the usb port, the drive will appear and it will be assigned a letter maybe E:\ or F:\ or something else. Immediately, he analyzes with the antivirus and anti-spyware. Quarantine or delete any virus or malware it finds. Then, it's just a matter of navigate the disk and copy and paste the contents of the host computer in a directory for this purpose. Obviously, you can copy from documents word, photos, music files, but you cannot copy the applications like Microsoft Word, iTunes. Photoshop.  You may need to take ownership of the files on the old hard drive, but Windows will guide you through this. Don't know what else I can answer.

  • Tecra M9: 54mps transfer rate using WLan N standard

    Hi guys of

    I took possestion proud of my new Tecra M9 two days ago and have obviously been downgraded to Windows XP.

    The problem I have I bought a wireless router cable Buffalo WZR2 - G300N Nfiniti which has the new draft N Wireless feature to compliment the same feature on my new Tecra.

    Now, I have configured the router correctly by setting the wireless settings to allow protocols (BGN) so that other laptops from home receive a signal and I tried to use the standard Intel wireless drivers and drivers of buffalo on my Tecra wireless network card, but I always get only a maximum transfer rate of 54mps as apposed to the 300mps claimed to be honest.

    I never expect that speed but I expect more than the speed of a standard card.

    Any guys ideas and im starting to pull my hair out here that I love from the laptop the router lol.
    I look forward to your responses,

    Best wishes to you all

    DesktopGeek

    Hello

    You use an Intel Wlan card? If yes then you must update the Intel driver.
    See the Intel page for this.

    Second, you should check the settings of your router if the standard 802.11 N has been chosen.

    This is a useful page for Intel that describes the performance of 802.11 N standards.
    http://www.Intel.com/performance/mobile/wireless/index.htm
    You shouldn't too t wait. Theoretically, there should be an improvement of 5 x but I n t think you might be able to use the full 300Mbps.

    You should also try different WLan channels and use the additional Intel Proset WLan utility to configure the WiFi network.

    By the way; Don't forget to choose the standard 802.11 N Wlan card properties!

    Good bye

  • Slow refresh rate using a D3100 connect two monitors U2311H

    Hello

    I have a macbook pro 2016 and bought the Dell D3100 triple display USB adapter to use with it. The two monitors are connected to DVI using adapters connected to the displayport and hdmi ports. I installed the latest drivers from displaylink for El Capitan on the computer and plugged the dock on USB 3.0. The two monitors work. However, they all seem to have some considerable delay. Testufo indicates that they are both running at 60 Hz (as well as the display settings), but movement seems choppy and fuzzy, akin to 30 hz, but maybe a little better.

    I read that it would be able to run monitors 1080 at 60 Hz with little trouble. Is there something I am doing wrong?

    Thank you

    We didn't test the D3100 on Apple hardware or software is a big unknown.

    The slow refresh rate tells us that they're not really running at 60 Hz.

    The U2311H has the following ports video =.
    DP 1920 x 1080 60 Hz
    DVI 1920 x 1080 60 Hz
    VGA 1920 x 1080 60 Hz

    The D3100's video next ports =.
    Display Port 1.1 = 3840 x 2160 30 Hz, 1920 x 1080 60 Hz
    HDMI 1.4 = 2560 x 1440-50 Hz

    So the U2311H using DP 1. 1 a/DVI should be 60 Hz. The other at 50 Hz. But how the Apple operating system is to see these is unknown. You must post on the Apple Forum of Discussions and see if they can offer an overview or troubleshooting steps.

  • Poor transfer rate using Converter standalone 5.0 compared to the 4.3

    I recently started using the Converter new version 5.0.0.  I did successfully more than 30 years of P2V Windows 2003 systems using version 4.3.  Immediately, I noticed two problems:

    (1) the average transfer rate went from about 100 MB/s to between 0.8 and 2 MB/s.

    (2) the process has systematically failed after completion of the c: cloning and start on the D: drive.

    I tried this on 5 different physical servers, ranging from 5 different servers host VMware ESXi 4.1 and the result was always the same.  I assumed it was a network problem or firewall and sent on a 'wild goose chase' network team for 2 days.  After that they were convinced that the physical machine being P2V was simply not sent sufficient packages, I went back and re-installed version 4.3 and restarted the P2V transfer.  This time, I received a transfer rate average of 100 Mbps (50 x faster) and the whole process completed successfully.

    Has anyone else seen a similar problem?  No possible explanation?

  • Qosmio F20: Bad sound using the MSN Messenger & video transmission

    Hi all

    I recently bought a laptop Qosmio F20, who is currently connected to the Internet via a router/modem WiFi Netgear (DG834v2).
    I tried to use MSN messenger v7.5 (7.5.0311 and 7.5.0324) with a webcam Creative NX () to make a video call.
    But the sound of the person I'm talking to is so distorted, it is impossible to have a conversation (I tried with several of my friends, who all have good sound on their end).
    However, if I have an audio only (no video) conversation, I have a perfect sound.
    Despite my best efforts (update drivers, reinstall messenger, windows firewall ok for messenger etc...) I've had no chance of finding the problem so far. If anyone has any suggestions I would be very grateful.

    Thanks in advance.
    François

    Hello

    You suggested that the sound working properly without the video connection.
    In my opinion, it happens because of the webcam. Maybe the software has a bad influence on the sound.
    This is not a product of Toshiba, and Toshiba is not responsible for any 3rd party device.
    I recommend you to check the site of the manufacture of cam. Maybe you will find the solution.

  • Effective rate using ni6143 with the request based on aiex2.cpp method

    Dear engineers experienced,

    I had a problem with the request method based on the file "aiex2.cpp", available on the site by using ni6143. It comes to the actual sampling rate. On the datasheet, it is said that the ni6143 could have the ability to data acquisition with speed of 250 kHz per channel, which means that each data could be acquired in 4th-6 second. So here's my question: if I use all 8 channels (each to 250 kHz), this means that I have to use 8 [channels] * 4th-6 [seconds] = [seconds] to get a data set (one for each channel), 32nd-6 or I can use only 4-6 [seconds] to get? I use the method of application based on aiex2.cpp for the experience of the trial. Inorder to check exactly what is the sampling rate, I/o digital set up a signal in the maximum power before gain on demand and set low during data acquisition is complete. It shows the oscillograph than the actual time for the acquisition of a set of data (one for each channel) when I use 8 channels (each to 250 kHz) is about 32-6 [seconds], which means that the device acquires data by a channel channel, not at the same time. I want to know if there is any setting that I have to settle with the registers, or request method could not acquire data with 8 channels simultaneously. My code is exactly the same with the file "aiex2.cpp".

    Thanks for help.

    Hello Licry,

    Yes, the example only shows how to acquire a number fixed samples.  Among the function calls that implements the acquisition will allow you to make the material constantly acquire...

    aiNumberOfSamples (theSTC, numberOfSamples, kFalse); for finite, false for continuous

    If you can set it to kTrue to acquire continuous.  So that the task to continue to work, your application must be able to access the FIFO data fast enough so that it does not overflow.

    Second, every continuous acquisition must end someday.  When your loop has acquired all data affecting the application, he must issue commands to stop the acquisition.  The manual of the STC in detail the steps that can be taken to stop a continuous acquisition.

  • ACVHD clips like PF30.   Which type the sequence should I choose for wide screen TV?

    Camera is a Canon Vixia HFM41. Clips were shot with PF30 selected instead of 60i.    Using Premier Pro and Encore CS6.  Here is some of the best.  The original sequence I used is AVCHD 1080 p.   Square pixels.   29.97 FPS.   No field.    1920 x 1080.     The photos seem to be ok seen in again and on my TV.

    The other day, while working in the body, my cursor landed on a clip in the project Panel.  A pop-up displays some info on the clip which is annoying.   He showed the clip to be: 29.97i UFF.   So I created a new sequence of the clip.   It has been shown as: AVC - INTRA 100 1080i 60 Hz, 29.97 FPS.

    I created a new sequence for these parameters.  When I copied the old sequence I had first built to the new sequence, the video had wavy grounds him.   Can see these wavy lines on the TV after that I build the Blu - ray?    AM I best to stick to the old setting of sequence of 1080 p?

    Could someone tell me what is happening here?

    Any help or explanation will be appreciated.

    Ann, thanks for your informative reply.   I read all the articles you suggested.   The program MediaInfo also said that I had the interlaced video.   Everything here is smart.  It's a good thing, as I arrived with my deep feeling with the help of my camera was set.   30FP. it would have been a nightmare to change all sequences only because that marks chapter yet (about 20 of them) do not copy and paste into the chronology of the organization that would take a good amount of time to reconnect in yet.
