  There's something weird going?  I finally got my apps install but I have to jump through hoops to do it.

  Try this and see if it works.

  Thanks for your help. It has been quite stressful period! However, I received a msg from Microsoft stating that they were dealing with a problem! In addition, it seemed that a whole bunch of programs attempt to update at the same time, including McAfee. So I uninstalled mcafee completely to leave a chance to update everything.  Then re-installed. After that everything was fine and all is well.
