• Windows 8 for Windows 10 remote desktop does not

  I have a Windows 10 remote desktop machine I connect often. In this configuration course I am able to open an Office Session remotely with the following platforms:

  1. My phone Windows 8
  2. My Ubuntu (using Remmina) office

  The problem is related to my PC Windows 8.1. I checked the following:

  • Remote connections are allowed on the remote PC
  • The remote PC is allowed to enable any PC to connect
  • The remote PC is turned on

  I also tried to go to:

  HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Terminal Server Client\Default

  in the registry to delete the cache would be ins journal as well. I also deleted Default.rpd in My Documents as well.

  Problem:

  When I try to connect to the Windows 10 computer, the connection is established, but the connection is not accepted (keep in mind, I used this access using RDP connection on my Windows Phone and my PC Ubuntu). For some reason it does not accept my password.

• With multi-monitor Windows 7 Remote Desktop

  I tried to remote desktop from my Windows 7 RC machine at home for my full desktop Windows Vista Edition machine with the multiscreen option, but even if I have 2 monitors works very well on both sites I can't make it work with this new feature with remote desktop. Do I need a different operating system at server end?

  Thank you for using the Microsoft Answers forum.  Remote Desktop connection supports screens high resolution that can be split over multiple monitors. However, the total resolution across all monitors must be less than 4096 x 2048 pixels. Monitors must have the same resolution. In addition, monitors must be aligned side-by-side.

  Order for the Office of the remote computer span multiple monitors, type Mstsc/span at a command prompt.

  Try to set up my Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 for remote access to my desktop PC.  Downloaded the MS Remote Desktop Android app to Tab Galaxy 3.
  On the PC (Windows 7 Home Premium) click on "Start", right click "computer", then click on 'Properties', then click on "remote settings".  In the pop-up in the section "at a distance", I see only the section to "remote assistance".
  The problem I have is that I see not the choice of 'remote desktop' section allow remote connections.
  Is there another sector in the system that I need to activate for the section to appear?  Software windows 7 provided with the computer (Lenovo H415).  I am able to access the files of windows media player etc. of the Samsung Tab 3... and the PC sees the Tablet from Samsung on the network, but that's all.
  Does anyone have a solution for this?

  Solve the mystery of myself.  Found this little note that after much research online.

  "Important note: Remote Desktop is no longer included in the versions professional, enterprise or ultimate edition of Windows." Editions do not have Office remotely. »

  It seems that Microsoft "cat experts" would have mentioned this small detail when I worked with them or help line experts when I call them on the phone.  Instead, they tried to sell me a support service for $99, which I think now just tried to trick me into buying one edition more expensive Microsoft windows without really anything to solve the problem which would itself be fixed with an update they would have sold in addition to the support service for $99 that I really don't need to.

  Customer has added a new laptop running Windows 7 Pro SP1 to the field.  Field has a single controller domain running Windows Server 2008 R2 support AD, DNS, DHCP, file services and printers on the network.  New machine can't remote to or from other Windows 7 machines or the server, but it will allow the connection to and from all Windows XP machines on the network.  In addition, Remote Assistance invitations fail to connect.  Windows Firewall and UAC has been disable large domain through Group Policy. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

• Distorted screen of Windows 7 remote desktop printing

  In our work environment, we are running Win7 Pro on workstations with monitors 24 ", and we are mode connection full screen on Windows 2003 Terminal Server that has a monitor standard aspect ratio of 4:1.  We use specific software in the industry for our company, and when we print, the text is elongated.  If the screen resolution for the Terminal Server Session on the client is configured for 1024 x 768 instead of 1900 x 1200, it prints very well as shown here:

  

  Unfortunately, the way things are presented to the user on the screen at 1024 x 768 is not satisfactory.

  We have a few (all 1900 x 1200 widescreen) customers who use software in the industry outside the Terminal Server environment, and they print without problem.  This leads me to believe that there is a specific problem in Win7 remote desktop client, or the Terminal Server itself.  Whatever it is, the display resolution selected for the Terminal Session is clearly the culprit.  In software, the print is first presented in a preview before printing, and the lengthening of the police is visible in the preview screen. I think that the software is written in C++, but I'm not 100% sure on that.  I'm guessing this has something to do with the print job will be returned on a big screen, but I'm not advanced enough to find out how or why that matters in the grand scheme of things.

  I have installed the patch in KB2768741 to Win7 clients, but he did nothing to help the issue.

  Well, im trying to understand how it works any and all how to put to the top or do work. Ive tried to watch on other internet resources but most is very difficult to understand and they quiet no say how it works where how to operate in general. I understand the fact that it allows you to connect to another computer on a wired LAN or over the internet from your PC or laptop, but that's all.

  As far as I saw, the entire internet resources Ive looked at do not properly explain how it works is, how to set up and the various means of implementation. If anyone here can give a detailed explanation, I understand then I would be very grateful and thankful.

  Unable to connect using remote desktop, when I go to activate remote desktop that the user select is grayed out. Connects to the computer with the hotmail account and no premises represent a problem? In addition, the hotmail account is a standard user, and you cannot change it to an administrator account?   What you said is that we can't take the Office away from the computer, you have Windows 8 on, however, you are able to remove this desktop computer remotely. We need more information to help you in a better way.

  1. is the computer that you are trying to access is on a network or domain?

  2 have you enabled authorization on another computer to remote desktop?

  3 have you tried to connect to the administrator account, to verify if you are able to connect remotely?

  4. what exactly happens when you try to change the standard administrator account account?

  Here are the steps to change the standard user to the administrator account.

  Method: change the type of account to the account administrator.

  a. press the Windows key + X, click on Control Panel.

  b. click on user accounts and family safety.

  c. click on Manage another account.

  d. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

  e. click the account that you want to change and then click change the account type.

  f. Select the type of account you want, and then click Change the account Type.

  I use Pro 8.1 and I'm sorry but stopping and restarting do NOT appear when connected via a RDP session and you click on the key Windows + X (or right click on Start).  The options you get are (ironically) "stop or d├⌐connexion" > "Disconnect" or "disconnect".

  

• Windows 8 Remote Desktop keeps asking for password wifi

  recently I reset my wifi network id and password.  After this "implementation of windows remote desktop 8" keeps poping up asking wifi password. It happens like every five seconds when I'm connected to the internet. After you enter the password and click ok, it happens again! I can't really do anything like pages Web surfing or watching youtube videos.  The only way to stop it is to disconnect from the internet.

  I imagine the inconvenience you encounter with guests Remote Office for password. I will certainly help you in this matter.

  Sometimes, this problem occurs if you don't have a password set for your local administrative user account. To set a password, you can press the key combination CTRL + ALT + DELETE on the screen, click change password, type and confirm the password.

  Login again and try to enter the WiFi password. Check if the number is reproduced.

  Alternatively, if you do use Remote Desktop, you can try to disable the remote desktop in system properties and check if it helps.

  1. Press Windows key + R.
  2. In the Run dialog box, type SystemPropertiesRemote.exe , and then press ENTER.
  3. Unlike what allows the connection, select don't allow connections to this computer remotely.
  4. Click OK.

  NOTE: You can always activate the setting by clicking on the option allow in step 3.

  Dear Forum,

  I had a problem trying to help a friend with problems of view (running Windows 7), I'm on Windows 10.  When I try to make the necessary connections on his laptop I do not get the options I see in the help videos.  Rather than get three options;

  • Do not allow connections to this computer
  • Allow the connection of computers running any version (less safe) remote access
  • That allow the connection of computers running Office remotely with network level authentication (more secure)

  I get the screen below and clicking on advanced not me these options either!  Can anyone help?

• Remote Desktop - Windows Vista-based computer to a Windows 7 computer on a local network in my office

  I have a laptop Windows Vista Home Premium that is trying to connect to my Windows 7 desktop. It worked fine when my desktop computer was Windows XP and I was running the same laptop Vista Windows 7, I am now.

  What has changed? I have a modem/router to two sons and has not changed the settings. I just tried opening port 3389 and cutting the firewall of Windows with the same results.

  I have a VPN and the game works fine.

  Get remote desktop dialog box for opening and saving in and I know that it is configured correctly, because when I take my Vista laptop to the office the RD connection works fine and I can see and I work on my Windows 7 desktop computer, so the problem is either something on my home network or with my ISP - using DSL - ideas?
