Barcode Excel and read the data

Hello

I'm creating a program where I would like to scan a barcode in LV and there LV scan a spreadsheet excel for this barcode and returns the data in this row. I found an example online that allows the discovery of bar code number in excel, but I'm not coming with a strange issue when you try to view the information in this row. My program is the correct barcode in all cases. Only when I get the number of rank 1 line information will be correct. When I enter the information in row 2 lets say it shows the information of line 3. When I enter the tier 3 program line 5 information display. Attached is my draft of the code (this is my first stab at ActiveX control so bear with it please) and a worksheet example I created with some information on how the program works. I have checked the other posts for similar problems and could not find one this hepls with my particular issue. I also checked the thread specific excel but found no link to the code that can help. Any help is appreciated. IM thinking that I'm more looking for something, but since this is my first shot at this type of programming im not very well what it is. Thanks in advance for any information.

NYC says:

The other thread is not VI or Excel.

I'm curious to know what is happening in the VI, but I can't open it.

It's the same question, except that this time the OP has provided a follow-up saying: ' OK, here's what I got, and it does. ' " Why? "I would have just kept in this thread. No matter what.

In any case your mistake is that you don't want to connect the line found on all of the methods of Range.Item (get). You must connect a constant of 1 for 'Row' parameters for these two. As you operate on a found range, you don't want to change the line.

As it is now your VI does not close Excel when finished. The Excel process continues to run in the background. See the example with LabVIEW, which closes Excel when finished.

  • How to read a text file that is longer than 65536 lines and write the data to a spreadsheet Excel and the data to write in a new column, once exhausted 65536 cells in a column?

    Hi hari,.

One thing that is very important when you use the Excel activeX interface (in case you need it) is good termination of worksheet/workbook/lettering handles.

You need these handles to specify what cell in which file you are trying to access.

If you are unable to throw each handle you have, then you will be left with ghost Excel process in your task manager, devours your system's memory.

Thus, when debugging of your application, open the Task Manager and the watch as Excel treats created/destroyed and make sure that you end up with zero Excel process running when your application is closed.

Also consider the case of fault for your program. Check that your exit routes did not omit any termination of handle.

I'm reading the data (speed rate and flow) of a table and it plot in a graph. I need to draw two values of l/min (speed) to the same speed. How can I do using a loop for?

There is no need actually to use a loop FOR this. And using a graphic waveform isn't the type of field for this, for a waveform you a (Start), the dT T0 (greatness not) and table D (Data), this isn't what you want unless you know precisely the measure will take place according to an orderly disposal, you'd want a xy chart so that you can trace the measures where they occur in the axes X and Y of preference.

The listbox multicolumn itself is the digital picture data type. If you have allowed only 1 point selection and selection mode select any row, it returns the line number. The property node 'Element names' to return a table 2d-chains of the elements in your Inbox. The index of the row to the value of the listbox and column 0. See code attached.

  • reads the data when I select run

When I insist on running my program reads the data from the meter power... when I'm not it gives me an error. I tried to put right waiting them etc and nothing seems to be set. Also, when I take the vi that read data from the electricity meter, the code runs much faster. I don't know if this has to do with global variables or what, but I just change a code supplied with this unit and it included global variables. I tried not to play with those yet. Anyway, if someone sees something that would eventually cure this problem please let me know. Thank you.

  • How to read the date of the day of the day of the year?

I saw that the "seconds to Date/Time.vi" sure I checked the day of the year. If I can use this day of the year, I can add + 30 read 30 date.

    Barros,

What I gave was the answer you were looking for originally because I believe.  You will not just be able to read the date in a coherent way and then add 30.  You can either use the function Get time in seconds or a few varaint it and then add the offset you want (you could use the get a Date/time string and enter the date directly, but this digital conversion which will be useful in the monitoring of the time elapsed will be much more difficult than what I provided only).  If you want to stop the test, simply to keep track of the amount of time the test is in pause and extension at the time where that amount.

  • Reading the data from a fichierXML

I was given a measurement file that is stored in XML format, I need to extract some data.  I spent a large part of the morning passes through all XML I could find trying to figure out how to start.  I also downloaded the packages GXML and EasyXML VI.  The problem is that I can't seem to figure out how to use one of these files because all of the examples I see are beautiful small files and I don't know how to apply them to my folder.

The first thing I'm doing is to extract data, called CentralTilt.  If I look at the XML mapping in Excel it would report the acquisitions-> SystemConfig-> data.  In Excel when I extract these data, I get a column of values about 1200.  I'm trying to do the same thing, but place them in a table in Labview.

At the end of the day, I need to do a several other values in the file and then perform additional handling, this is why I would try to automate this process in Labview.  I think that if I can just go beyond this first hurdle to not really understand how these different functions of XML called on the file and analyze the data I should be able to figure out the rest.  Some advice would be appreciated.    Thank you.

Unfortunately, I can't post the file as it is too big, but I have a screen capture of the XML mapping.

Received warnings during conversion, you may need to replace a part of the used screw (load and close screw).

    Hello

As I said on your other thread:

In order to write in the shared directory/documents, your application should request action "access_shared" and it must be granted by the user. Make sure you have

    access_shared

    in your bar - descriptor.xml.

Also note that the shared documents folder may not be the best place to write the application log data. There is one connects / in the sandbox to this effect, or the application directory data / directory if the information should be persisted. The documents/shared/folder is designed for documents that the user creates or interacts with.

  • How to read the data in a device connected to the usb port

I'm new in Java and I'm looking for the opportunity to write a project to read the data in a device with this program that can turn on a BB instead of on a pc.

    Thank you

    Did you watch net.rim.device.api.system.USBPort?

    That's what the doc says:

Provides access to the USB port of the device.

Avoid using this class in applications, as it is not portable. On the contrary, if you need to access the USB port, use factory CLDC Connector to serve a connection.

If you are referring to record and send after filling out a form, you can either use an Adobe Reader or Acrobat application.

Adobe Reader is a free service and you can install it here: Adobe - Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Distribution

Let us know if you need additional assistance.

    Kind regards

    Meenakshi
