  Since 2 weeks I have a problem: I always set my settings to restore the previous session with all my tabs and I choose that Firefox asks me where I want to save my downloaded files.   Here's what I'll try:

  • Reset Firefox - that should solve the problem, but it will change the settings like where files are downloaded and what tabs open at startup back to their default values.
  • Then change your download and back session restore preferences to how you like them.

  Here's how:

  1. Go to help > troubleshooting information.
  2. Click on the button 'Reset Firefox'.
  3. Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is finished, it will display a window with the imported information. Click Finish.
  4. Firefox opens with all the default settings applied.
  5. Open the window of options - tools > Options > general
  6. In the general Panel set Firefox to open your tabs from last time and set Firefox to ask you where to save downloads.
  7. Click OK

  That should do it. Let me know if it worked.

  I bought a G400s July this year and everything was fine until a few days ago. My laptop has certainly slowed as delayed start. A few problems that I can see are:

  1.) pane of desktop missing in the start screen.

  2.) tile store missing in the sceeen of departure

  3.) quite impossible to open the laptop settings

  4.) Nvidia seems to be his only works not as it should.

  I googled for two days now and nothing seems to work. I am still under warranty. Please help.

  PS: I tried the thing the sfc scannow as sugested by some tech Microsoft, no change.

  OK, so what I did was

  1) has made a recovery disk and recover, did not know how
  (2) I got frustrated and turned off the laptop
  (3) when reopened the blue page has increased and I saw refresh your PC.
  (4) so I've refreshed, and the laptop like brand new.
  (5) would need to reinstall all applications and updates, but a new start is good too.

• two monitors. Icon of the secondary monitor missing in settings etc.?

  Hi all
  Tried to set up two monitors to operate independently on my HP PC under XP SP3. Do the normal thing - will display/settings/Advanced tab and selecting monitor gives me no indenties or options to select/set another monitor. I use two VGA ports for two monitors, but only will draw upward. Any ideas or suggestions would be welcome. Have a GeForce GT 430 PCI express card 2.0 chart.

  As the GeForce 430 has only a single VGA port, you must also use the VGA port on another device (the motherboard?).

  Make sure that your BIOS is not set to disable VGA port of the motherboard when it detects another adapter to display.

  Also, there is a map of multi-monitor.  You can get an adapter DVI / VGA and try plugging your second VGA screen it if you can't stop the BIOS to ignore the motherboard display adapter.  (Or just because it's an adapter better.)

  The first two steps in debugging: 1) is it connected?  (2) is it turned on?

• Vista Home Basic - changing the settings after restart

  1. I need to use the mouse with my left hand, so I swap the buttons in the control panel.   However, If I restart Windows, the keys are not exchanged.  I changed the registry key, but I do not do this.

  2. I set the control panel to display a list of items, not the icons, but it is up to the icons, whenever I close.  I use the classic look.

  Go to start / Control Panel / file settings / display and check the box then remember each folder view settings.  That should fix the problem with the Control Panel views (but to be honest, I'm not sure that it will work with control panel because it is another type of folder - but it's worth a try).  If this does not work, I don't know how to get the system to keep the details of opening view (this is the only control that I know to keep folder settings).  For what it's worth, this does not happen on my system - when I put on the details and close it, then open it it is still in the Details view.  I have 32 bit Vista Business SP2 but I don't think this should make no difference to the same problem.

  We will check your file system and hard drive for all the corruption that may cause this problem:

  Go to start / all programs / accessories / command prompt, right click command prompt and click Run as administrator (you can skip this step if you are using the disk).

  Type sfc/scannow, go and let it run.  It will scan and try to correct some of your system files.  If all goes well he comes complete with no corruption, it could not repair (if it has these post of corruption here or try to analyze it to find the problem or files using http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928228.  Try to put all the corrupt files here so that we can see if they can be repaired with good copies of the installation disc (unless there are too many).

You can have a lot of updates to re - install (including all you need to remove service packs).  If the version of the system came with SP1 or SP2 preinstalled and the disc is an earlier version, then you will need to make a record of slipstream as follows: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/151606-vista-sp1-slipstream-installation-dvd.html.  The decision is yours, if you want to go through that much trouble to fix this (assuming you have the disc).

  It seems that your left mouse button problem is already solved by changes to the registry.  I don't know why it didn't keep its settings just to configure in Control Panel - that's what's supposed to happen (not what happened to you).

  The other problem with the mouse can be a problem with the individual programs (such as Notepad) or since you have detailed two separate problems with the mouse, it may have something to do with your mouse, software, firmware driver (or your mouse with Vista compatibility).  I would go to the manufacturer website and download the latest versions for your system and compatible with your version of Vista (making SURE it is compatible with Vista) and install them (or reinstall if you already have this version here).  There may be something to do with these elements to reinstall trouble.

  In Notepad, there is no solution for this problem.  There is no separate for Notepad - download this is the part of the operating system and re - install you will need to re - install the complete operating system (and who may not even solve the problem). What you said about it being a problem specific to the programs is probably correct - especially if she does not work in most of the programs (and I've never seen a mouse pointers control feature in any program I have ever used - it is assumed that is controlled globally of the settings in the control panel).

• Apps missing tab

  Hello

  I'm on a work computer, but I think I have administrator rights and have installed Adobe (Photoshop CC) products on this computer before.  I try to install a free trial of InDesign, but the Apps tab does not show in my version of creative cloud. The top of the nav page has only ' home community Stock assets.  Apps is just missing.

  Is there a problem with the program or if it is probably blocked by IT?

  I tried following these steps, but not of change:

  1. In the context menu, choose Preferences. Click the account and then click the sign of creative cloud.
  2. Note:  If creative cloud sign is grey, go to step 2.
  3. Of the same gear in creative cloud icon, choose to leave Creative Cloud.
  • 2. Rename the OPM.db file that is located in the OOBE folder located here:
    1. Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe
    • Windows XP: \Local Adobe application
    • Windows 7: \AppData\Local\Adobe
    1. Change the name to OPM.db.old
  1. Restart the Adobe Creative Cloud.
  2. Reconnect to your Adobe ID

• Missing tab of the Spry Menu on CS5 using an iMac (only 2 computers do not see)

  I use Dreamweaver CS5 on iMac in my class. Two students are not able to see the blue tab of the Spry menu bar.  Is there something that should be selected in so that they can see it?  I thought that maybe they missed a step, so we followed our book and recreated the Menu bar on another page.  Once the menu bar is complete and you click on the Blue Menu Spry tab is not available.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

  Spry menus have been abandoned by Adobe.two years ago because they can not be used by millions of visitors on portable devices.  We use now of JQuery menus or pure HTML/CSS menus.

• Basic MX7 Server settings?

  As some of you have noticed - I was pushed in this upgrade. It's one thing to PCI compliance!

  This application has been started in 1994 with CF3.2 and I even spent some time with Jeremy Allaire through the application in detail.

  Anyway - as one of you said, I'm 'old school' LOL - even if this application has continually updated 16 years to perfectly meets the new demanding needs of customer - CF5 & Windows 2000 until provided a stable and robust platform for them.

  While I had a week to prepare developing, I had to change a few things here and there, that's for sure - and Verity is still not up and running yet, I wanted to ask some questions about the basics of server management for MX7.02

  I'm very uncomfortable with setting up CF5 MX7 with Windows 2000 - and Windows 2003 is a whole new ball game.

  Right now this application spans six different servers and power is two different SQL servers.

  This environment sees about 50 k visitors per day (18 million / year) I have learned to respect the servers to my normal life!

  So now I'm looking to have to start all over again and would like a little help from your pool of knowledge?

  1.       Is there a process I don't need running? That is to say. performance monitoring, cfstat, etc?

  2.       Settings - I setup the way I was with CF5

  First of all, why switch you to 7 instead of 9? If you are doing a major upgrade, you might as well get at least a version currently supported CF (8 or later). It's not all that much difference between 7 and 9 with the exception of improvements in performance and functionality - big improvements, really - you might as well enjoy some. The big jump is from CF 5 to something else - CF 6 and higher are all written in Java, while CF 5 and earlier versions have been written in C.

  Second, a large number of parameters you mention - you really can't predict the useful values for someone else without knowing their environment. That said, I'll go over some items you list.

  1a: you're talking about the Windows performance monitor? There's not a lot of overhead to that. CFSTAT is not a service, it is an application that you can run the command line.

  2A, 2B: determination of optimal parameters of concurrency is impossible without load balancing, but you should expect optimal default values significantly different now than they were in CF 5.

  3A: this value means something substantially different from that under CF 5 - it is a County model rather than a number of file size, if I remember correctly. You probably have this affect the number of CF files you have on your site, if possible.

  3B: Trusted cache must be enabled in production if possible. It doesn't have to be activated in the development.

  3rd: wear this property if you are caching more requests.

  5a: If you are specifically referring to the CFID and CFTOKEN values in your application, you will need to rewrite that code if you enable J2EE sessions. But in general, I would recommend using J2EE sessions and cookies persistent and safer (in the sense that they are less predictable by default).

  5th: an hour is long enough for a session. Effective session management is important in CF because it consumes a lot of memory, and you have an amount relatively limited memory in the CF (this improves a bit if you run 8 CF or CF 9 on a JVM 64-bit - another reason to consider to get all the way to the top).

• Missing: Tab "Search"

  I try a project output in a CHM file using RoboHelp 8, and the result is completely missing a 'Search' tab. There is a table of contents, an Index tab tab, and that's all. (The project has a glossary, so the absence of glossary it's surprise). I searched through the forums and issues closest I saw were people whose Search tabs "did not work." However, the hotfix in this situation (re-recording of some DLL files), has not worked for me. I hope that someone out there has an idea how find a search tab missing thank you!

  Try this. In RoboHelp, click View > pods > project implementation.

  Expand the Windows pseudo-dossier.

  You see an icon that looks like this?

  

  If you see this icon (the one with no globe inside), double-click it. If you don't see it, make sure first that the type of your primary provision is Microsoft HTML Help. Then click the icon to create a new window.

• Icon of Wikipedias missing tab?

  Wikipedias icon isn't load in its tab, so far, it seems as if it was the only site that does this. last night the icon loaded fine on the https://www.wikipedia.org/ page, but nowhere on the site, but this morning it is more support there as well. This is well on other computers and other browsers, however.
