Battery and general order questions for the MacBook Pro 13 inch retina (2015)

I just bought a MacBook Pro of the retina (100% Brand new) as my first product Mac and I love it! I want to keep this laptop for as long as I can especially for the price I paid for it. Battery is my number one concern, and I want to keep the health of the battery as healthy as possible.

On a daily basis, I tape regularly documents, surf the web, watch YouTube, movies and videos, and non-intensive games like Flash games.

Here are my questions:

If accidentally you unplug the charger and plug it back immediately, this indictment as a load sprays? What defines a cycle?

Is it safe to use your laptop while he's in charge?

What are some tips to keep the battery a longer period for general use?

What are some tips for maintaining the health of the battery?

Why is it important to calibrate the battery each time in awhile? How can I do?

What are things which reduce the wear of the battery and how to avoid them?

What applications are useful to monitor and maintain the battery?

What are your thoughts on getting a replacement battery for Apple laptops?

What are your personal recommendations on set make the laptop last as long as possible?

Thank you very much for the help!

Modern battery of Macbook didn't need to be calibrated.

You can use your Mac while being charged.

I use app battery of nuts of coconut, but not necessary.

Best.

  • Reliability of the macbook pro 13-inch retina

So I bought recently a 2015 macbook pro retina 13inch w from best buy. Ive heard nothing else nothing but great things about these machines and it reliability is pretty good, especially from what consumer reports said.

So my questions, yes I know its how you take care of it and other things, but how long I would be able to see out of him? I bought applecare for the 3 years to have the kind of peace of mind, if something goes wrong.

But I am a student I am on that for probably 8 hours a day, do not do stuff very heavy but don't like to play a few games on it from steam nothing really big or anything like that, and then I want to edit videos. Editing and games is probably once or twice a week especially just web browsing and school documents

I'm just a little paranoid, because I came from a dell inspiron 14r who crashed after 2 years later and I never really have a lot of video editing (fact 4, 5 min videos lol) on it and not play games. I have just web browsing, and it was nothing but a fight with problems.

I just want bad use it much and do much more things on it like ediitng videos, games and just curious to know how well it will hold up to?

But with the applecare as long as I don't spill something on it or drop it, they cover everything other then the battery from what ive read

Some 2007 models that still work as web browsers.  My 2011 MBP works always, strong but unlikely if do heavy software development I would get a new system for the best processor.

Don't be surprised that your system is "officially obsolete" (comes five years after the particular model is officially replaced) before it stops working.

  • SSD upgrade for the Macbook Pro late 2013 retina

I plan to update my MBP, it is only 128G. The best candidate is 'Samsung 950 Pro MZ - V5P512BW 512 GB m2', super fast SSD on the market. However, I wonder that she agrees with my MBP without modification or it is not possible to installed internally.

    the M2 may not match

If in doubt contact OWC computers, they can recommend a player for your system

  • Update of the Macbook Pro 13 inch i7 (mid-2012) worm.

    Dear Apple community

    Greetings,

I would like to know your opinion about the upgrade to the Macbook Pro 13 inch (mid-2012) i7 2.9 worm. by the following:

    1. replace the stock HARD 750 GB to a Samsung EVO 850 SSD 1 TB drive in the link below

    cm_cr_pr_product_top http://www.Amazon.com/Samsung-2-5-inch-Internal-MZ-75E250B-am/DP/B00OAJ412U/Ref=? ie = UTF8

    2. replace the stock RAM memory which is 8 GB (2 x 4 GB) 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) in the link below

    http://www.Amazon.com/crucial-DDR3L-1600-PC3-12800-CT2K8G3S160BM-CT2C8G3S160BM/d p/B008LTBJFW/ref = sr_1_1? ie = UTF8 & qid = 1450...

I know that apple says that 8GB is the maximum RAM.

is it OK to do? ? (System and stability not wise not hardware wise)

will I have problems with the system after the upgrade? ?

I had done a lot of research about this, but am not sure yet.

    your help is highly appreciated

    Thanks in advance

    Best regards

I would avoid the Samsung SSD.  If you analyze these forums, many users have experienced difficulties with the Samsung SSD.  (Some are not)  Note that Samsung is unable to talk about Mac compatibility on their web site.  I think what to say.

I can recommend Crucial SSD based on my experience in the installation of three of them in my Mbps.   OWC SSDS have an excellent reputation.

I support the Crucial RAM.  I have 16 GB of Crucial RAM installed in two of my Mbps.  16 GB of RAM should present no problems for your MBP.  OWC is also a great salesman of RAM Mac compatible.

    Ciao.

  • You can improve the macbook pro 15 inch 2015 logic board

I am the proud owner of a macbook pro mid 2015, 15-inch retina display 2.2 Ghz i7 (integrated graphics).

I was wondering if it is possible to upgrade dedicated to one with the graphics card logic board or is there a compatibility issue?

I know that the macbook pro with dedicated graphics card is the same size and all that one that I have so I was wondering if the logic boards are the same size.

    I hope this isn't a stupid question.

    Bruno jeanluke says:

I was wondering if it is possible to upgrade dedicated to one with the graphics card logic board or is there a compatibility issue?

I'm sorry. After the purchase, upgrade of the internal components is not possible.

If you wish, you can sell the Mac you have and buy another Mac with the specifications you want.

  • How can I connect HP ENVY 110 d411a (white) for the MacBook Pro OSX Lion running through a wi - fi connection?

And how can I use the AirPrint.

(I'm not English, sorry for my bad English)

    1.

    Hello

I bought a HP ENVY 110 d411a (white) on the last day, but I have different problems trying to configure it.

I did all the settings of the printer and properly installed the CD rom on 2 PC running Windows XP. (All works) I also tried the ePrint and it works without problem.

Problems come when I tried to implement it in my book for Mac OSX Lion running. I downloaded the "ENVY-110 - series_v12.14.0.dmg" from the HP site, but it seems that the computer cannot detect the printer wi - fi thorugh, even though they connect on the same wi - fi. Reading this forum I also installed an additional update "HP_Scan_for_Mac_OS_X_10.7_Update.dmg" and "support.apple.com/kb/DL907" Also I tried to unstall all and reinstall another time.

I'm sure that the printer is on the same wi - fi, I know not wi - fi is active, because the other PC I can print and scan, I'm sure it has a regualr IP address, the printer is new (2 days) and my MacBook is updated to the latest firmware.

    What can I do else?

    2.

My other question is how can I enable the AirPrint? I tried to detect the printer from the phone, but he can't find anything...

I read that this requires an update of the printer, but I already checked the updates and it says that the latest firmware is already installed...

Can you help at least with the first point?

OK, thanks for that.  This problem is with your router.  Your Mac uses Hello (also called mDNS) to find your printer.  If the router does not support this, your Mac will never see it.  It is a common problem with routers provided by the ISP.

I would recommend that you contact your ISP and either resolve the issue or give you a router that supports mDNS.  Last resort, you can get your own router and just use the modem from the ISP box part.

  • Why not download and install free iMovie and other sw apple for my macbook pro?

    Hi all

Anyone know why I can't install Pages, Numbers, Garageband, iMovie, and Keynote on my MacBook Pro? I had to format my HARD drive, so I installed OS own El Capitan...

    Thank you

Edit: AppStore wants payment for these programs, but they should be free...

Why should they be free? They are only free if you have a device purchased the or after October 16, 2014

If your device complies with this qualification, go on the App Store, signed on the account that you used when you purchased the computer, then click on "Buy" tab

The apps will see here and say you to the "accept." If this is not the case, contact Apple by using their program, which is supposed to be filed within the first 30 days of purchase.
