Battery charging port is no longer charge the battery.

The charging port on the laptop seems to the eye, didn't notice any visible damage. I have to recharge my battery using laptop of her husband... We have the same type battery. The charger works fine.

Any thoughts?

Thank you

Kit

So much worse... spoke to a gateway tech and he told me the problem is the chipset that controls the loading or the port itself.

Thanks anyway,

Kit

This is a question about how software Oracle maintains sessions client connected after that the listener is stopped with elegance

    Scenario of
    =========
You have a DB and its listener running on the DB server. The listener runs on port 3278.
From your laptop, you start a sqlplus session to through the listener. After the session must be connected to the laptop. The process of listening to the DB server is reduced. But sql * more session connected to the laptop can still issue queries and get the results.sqlplus session is still connected to the DB via port 3728, even if the listener is down. ESTABLISHED for that port displays the following output of netstat on the Server DB (10.80.0.213)
    $ netstat -an | grep 3728
    10.80.0.213.3728   192.168.0.101.59001  17520    881 49640      0 ESTABLISHED
A TCP/IP Port exists only when the process that runs / plays on it is. Right? Thus, after the listener is brought back is there another process that maintains this port so that the client session is served with what he needs the DB?

As far as I KNOW, none of the two processes can share a port. Unless there is a mechanism in the listener that calls the port to another process, when it is worn down.

    Hello
I think that explains very well at a level detailed - the way he manages the ports has changed slightly in the new versions of oracle - lsof does not look like it can in older versions.

  • Satellite P100 - 10 p: how long should I charge the battery

    Hallo,

Today I have a new Satellite P100 - 10 p and ID like to know for how long should I charge the battery. I checked the manual and it says that I must just connect the adapter on pc and enjoy.

Can you please tell me how long should I charge a battery for the first time.

    Thanks in advance

    Hello

You must charge the battery until the battery LED on the front of the laptop appears in green (or blue)!
It s advisable to run the empty battery before you resume the second indictment.

  • How long should I charge the battery first?

    Hello!

I would like to know how many time I charge the battery the first time...
So, my laptop is new, but the battery's discharge after an hour, the power manager is installed...

Site Web of Toshiba said I have work with laptop for 2 hours...

    Hello

Battery charging time depends on the laptop model.
But you must charge the battery until battery LED appears in green.

Also battery life is also depends on the use of the laptop.

  • Acer aspire 5740-6378 will no longer charge the battery under Windows 7

The title sums it up.  I have a new computer that beginning yesterday will not charge the battery.  I didn't have problems with battery or power systems before that.

    * original title - (sector, do not load) with 21% of battery. It has been so for 24 hours after several reboots. It is a 2 month old acer aspire 5740-6378. Is there a way to reset the power control software? So far, he has played very well.*

Managed to find a solution that worked for me.   I write this to help those who like me have sought a forum where this problem has been fixed.  I sent to acer tech support and they finally gave me this procedure:

Could you please go through the following steps to perform a power drain: 1. unplug the adapter from the laptop. 2. remove the battery. 3. press in and hold the button for about 30 seconds, then release. (You won't see anything happen) 4. connect the power adapter to the laptop. Make sure that the power adapter is plugged in. 5. Start the computer as usual. 6. After Windows starts, insert the battery. I hope this helps someone! Mike

  • Satellite M40 does not seem to charge the battery beyond a certain level

Just a brief explanation of my work.

    I make repairs pc and laptop, replacement of jack, BGA/brazing repairs etc.;
However computer have always baffled me. I have a Toshiba M40, although I know that this problem is not specific to this model.

The laptop does not charge the battery beyond a certain level at the moment its impasse on 41%, it says loading in windows but do not go anywhere.
I saw other portable that stick onto the other percentages 99%, 70% etc.

I tried to completely discharge the battery (on windows) and reload (for Windows), and also tried to unload and reload not in o/s, if anything they seem to have made things worse as initially the issue of charge level was approximately 50% and more.

By mistake the laptop wasn't for awhile so the battery flat, which probably did not help as I understand its best to store 40% battery when not in use.

Any ideas what the problem is and if theres any way to revive this battery?

    Hello

In my opinion, the problem is related to the breakdown of battery.
I'm don't know how old your battery is but eventually should be replaced.
After a long period of use, the battery loses the own performance and must be replaced.
This is nothing unusual and often to used batteries.

    Welcome them

  • Satellite L755 would not charge the battery

Hi all. I bought a new laptop today... it wouldn't charge the battery so I exchanged in-store. The replacement also has this problem. I'm doing something wrong or I was just unlucky?

The battery in the bottom right of the screen icon tells me that the battery is 0% charged, but he is in charge. The red light on the laptop before left turns as if to show that the battery is being charged also.

    Yet battery does not charge.

If I unplug the laptop from the network, the laptop turns off instanty.

It is today the second laptop brand new with the same problem. Maybe a part of a lot of battery defective or is - a problem that can be corrected with the software? I don't want to take the laptop to the store for a second time in the day.

    Hello

If the laptop stops immediately after that the AC adapter is not unplugged, it means that the battery is empty and not loaded.
Are you sure you plugged the battery correctly into the battery bay?
Please check if the battery is well suited.

In addition, I recommend to remove the battery and unplug the AC adapter.
Then press the power button / stop along 30 seconds and reconnect the two parts.
Then leave the laptop connected to the network for a longer period of time (2-3 hours).
Then check the battery charge level

If he would always stay at 0% then I recommend you visit the dealer and check the other unit or the battery.

  • Re: This option is available to charge the battery?

It is rather a general question, although I use now L500-226 laptop running Windows 7 Home Basic.

One of the main reasons, I continued using PC instead of the battery of computers (as laptops) is their need (laptops) periodically remove the charger and then reinsert it when the battery is low. Otherwise, keeping the charger is still plugged, the battery would suffer in two ways:

1 - where the loading stops, the battery will not be able to restore full capacity for the first time. Of course, if the charge process to full discharge then to a low level is repeated once again, internal chemical reactions of the battery could be reactivated gradually to a good extent.

    2. in the long term, keep the battery in full charge State also decreases its MTBF (Mean-Time-Before failure).

As we all know, the process of charging the battery to full then shock it in an optimal level of low could be repeated automatically by the software.
Obviously this option must be set by the user first. In this case, there is no need to unplug the charger.
And only when the user has to take the laptop where the voltage of the network are not available on request, this option would be disabled to avoid discharging the battery automatically.

Does anyone think that this option is already available in some new Toshiba laptops and maybe L500 models?

To be honest, I was told that the large companies in the world that produce batteries games can get significant extra revenue of the replacement of the battery packs in shorter periods. But in my opinion, the majority of PC users replace their PCs with laptops that are implementing the battery above, option since they will not have to pay each year (at best) to replace their relatively high price (specific for the manufactured product!) battery pack.

    Any idea?

    Thank you.

This option is not available. All works automatically, and as the Akuma wrote, you should disconnect manually.

  • How to charge the battery if the power input is damaged?

The decision-making power on my 4070CDT satellite was damaged and the laptop will no longer take power or charge the battery from this socket. (Attempts to re - solder the joint damaged power detection circuits!)

Does anyone know if I can feed the appropriate voltage (10.8 v?) to the battery contacts in the battery casing to keep the laptop going, and if so, which comes into contact with and what tolerance on the voltage?

(Application of 12v through the + ve and a particular contact - EV seems to persuade the power management software, it runs on sector without battery, but after 20 seconds the laptop turns off.)

    Any ideas? Thank you.

    Hello

In my opinion to do something like that, you have to be an expert and know very well the construction of the motherboard and electronic load.

Sorry, but I don't see a great chance to do that successfully. Try to contact the Service partner. Perhaps, they can give you a useful tip.

    Good luck!

  • Charging the battery on the all new Satellite phone has

How long is - a charge the battery for the (very first use - out of the box)?
Having read all the documentation and nothing said. I suppose that during the night - can someone confirm please.

    Hello!

What computer Satellite phone do you have?

I put t know how much time it takes to fully charge the battery, but normally you can see on the s light on the laptop. If it lights up green, the battery is charged.
And if the specifications of load from one day to the next, it s really full charge in the morning.

    Good bye

  • BlackBerry Smartphones new Curve 8330 and charge the battery/question already?

    Hi all

I just got a new Curve 8330 last week.  I noticed that it takes ages to completely charge the phone when the battery only about 40%.  The other day it took about 5 hours to get to 100%, I use the power supply provided and also tried the USB cable with the software already installed.

Tonight, it's about 60 percent, and I decided to load it.  After 3 hours or more, he went up to 45, then 40% and I was not still use it.  Battery icon is there (the icon of the card) then he recognizes it is connected.  I did the battery pull and wait another hour, another 40%.  Then another battery pull and still 40% after an hour.

I came on this forum and saw the mention of the app QuickPull.  Downloaded it, ran it, and after it restarted, it had fallen to 5%!  Now, it says "low battery" and I do not really understand why.

Until I started typing this post, I made an another battery pull and abandoned the USB plug.  It is now back up to 15%.  I am really hesitant to reach a store because the last time I brought my LG phone on a known battery problem (getting bulgy where you can spin) and they winded in my entire phone replacement

Please let me know what I'd do here.  Is this a battery problem, phone licensing, etc.?  What my expectations are on acquire it quickly back to 100%?  I do not drain the battery that much.  It took two days so he can go down to 60%, but I do not understand why it takes so long to load and then it seems to perform when I plug.

Thanks for your time.  I know this is a long post.  My battery is now 20%?  So he went from 5 to 20% in less than half an hour so confused.

If you had access to another battery and/or charger, I suggest that you try to change one and if it does not, another permutation. You will have to perhaps just take the phone back, but if I were you, I would make them give me a new battery and charger, just to be safe, because it looks like one or the other may be bad.

  • Charge the battery of my mobile phone

I've used my computer to charge the battery in my m obile phone, but now it does not load my phone. Is could someone please tell me why this is happening? I bought a new battery thinking that was the problem.  My son can load it on his Mac from Apple, but I can't get on my Toshiba. It is a mobile phone from O2 Cocoon.

The normal power supplied by a standard USB port is small compared to that of a normal charger.

Some phones will charge but much more slowly, and others not at all.

Some computers have of charging port USB that provide extra power as well.

For example, my iPhone charger has output 2.0 amp while a USB standard has only 0.5 amps.

According to me, that an Apple Mac has an available USB port.

All this depends on the material.

It is not necessary. Just use it, load it when it is convenient to do so.

  • Satellite M100 will not charge the battery while the computer is on

    Hi all

I have a M100 and the battery won't charge while it is running.
The battery starts to charge when I plug in the adapter and the orange light comes on. 10 seconds later it stops charging.
If the battery has more than 90% of the costs it wll the rest very well.
I have three batteries that all do the same thing on this computer. All three batteries are working fne on my other M series.

When the computer is off, it loads very well.

    Why is it so?

    Hello

I think that the problem of charging the battery is about the problem of portable equipment.
Maybe it's something s wrong with electronic power supply or another part on the motherboard.
I doubt that the problem could be solved by updating the BIOS but you should definitely check if you are using the latest version of the BIOS update and test again
If that does not help, then you should get in touch with a local service for verification of equipment technician

But note; If it s the question of the motherboard, the motherboard needs to be replaced and it would be a costly affair

  • Satellite A300-1 MB - do not charge the battery

Hello, a friend of mine gave me the laptop a300-1 MB and it has a problem. It is not the battery.

I changed the battery and the charger with another laptop that work well, but they have not worked in the mine, but the only way to charge the battery must have the laptop off, put the ac charger, remove the battery and reconnect the battery. Then he is in charge. In which case I have remove the charger and connect it to the laptop it stops again loading.

    are there solutions to this?

    Hey,.

If you can only charge the battery so that the AC/DC adapter is plugged in, I think that the problem is hardware related. I mean that if the battery will be recharged while the laptop is turned off, the battery seems to be ok and even the AC/DC adapter. Theoretically, it could only be linked to the motherboard

I think you should contact the nearest authorized service provider. Guys can check your laptop computer and help you to swap the motherboard.
