Battery drain of the blackBerry on Curve 9300 Smartphone / Software 6.0 Bundle 2475

I have problems of battery very frustrating on my BB Curve 9300. I bought the unit about a month ago and had a new battery installed not later than yesterday.

Battery life is approximately 3 to 5 hours at best, while I don't use any specific 3 part.

In addition, appears it "the clock" on a very frequent basis, significantly slow down the system.

I have all the files stored on the card... A Wi - fi connection has already been disabled as to have Bluetooth. LAt, mobile network connection is good so I don't think it has to do with the desperately search feature the connection.

Is it related to the software of the device? Please can someone help the problem?

PS: I'm based in France with SFR as my provider.

Thank you very much

I had this problem after upgrading to 6.0 software on my curve 9300.

The difficulty for me was to go to Options - - Storage - Device and click on disable the option 'Enable Compression '.

Other people have said that it worked him after a few days - but I went for 2 weeks and it didn't work even on mine until I did the above.

Good luck!

So I'm not the first person to have this problem.  I've been trawling the web looking for solutions, but nobody seems to have any.

The problem is that my Curve 9300 won't use wireless instead of data network services.  I can connect to wifi fine networks.  The phone searches for networks, connects, puts a little icon on the home screen saying that it is connected to a wifi network.  It lists the name of the network to the top.  Everything is great, except that when you actually use the internet, the phone connects to your data instead of wifi services and you get charged data consumption.

If you disable network services to try to force the phone to connect to the wifi instead, you get the error message:

"You are not currently in an area that can handle the communication of data.  Therefore, the browser can't retrieve all of the web pages.  Please try again when you are in a different location, or contact your service provider if the problem persists. »

    To confirm:

    My Data Services are on.

    My APN settings are disabled.

In Advanced Options, my default browser Configuration is set to Hotspot browser.

In General Properties, the default browser is Hotspot browser.

In the Configuration of the browser, the browser is configured to AT & T Mobile Web.  I tried to change it to Hotspot browser but I save the changes and exit the screen, then when I go back to check, it's at AT & T.  It's not save the changes to make the default Hotspot.

I did a battery pull to see if that would help and after restarting it allowed me to keep the Hotspot as the default configuration but it would not connect if the mobile service has been disabled.  He is now back himself to AT & T and still does not work.

I read the thread on the forum "BOLD", but for all the people complaining having the same problem, there is still no solution.  I really want a resolution to this because I do a lot of travel and my card sim may not always connect to a local network.  I want to be able to go to a local coffee shop and be able to connect, even if I don't have telephone service in a foreign airport.  I don't understand what is the point of having wifi on a phone if you can't use it.

OS 6 is available for BlackBerry 9300, please connect to www.blackberry.com and download the latest software from the support section device, install it on your PC and then connect a device with PC by using the USB cable and check for update of the device.

  • BlackBerry Curve 9300 Smartphone does not start. Stucks at the splash screen

    Hello

I have a brand new Curve 9300, and within a week he is a. I updated its OS to version 6, and it worked perfectly.

When I tried to configure my email, he asked automatically updated with the installation of my e-mail service provider software. I chose just ok. I received three warning messages, which I don't know exactly but it was something may not work correctly (with respect to the difference in version). I just kept facility, and he asked to reset.

When I restarted the laptop, it goot stuck to the start screen. Then nothing! The thin status bar below fills BlackBerry logo until either full, nothing happens. When I wait more long (a few minutes), I get a message on a white screen with a small font with "App Error 606", with an option to "RESET".

I took out the battery and restored a few times, nothing different.

    Notes:

    • The LED does nothing, except for a single red wink when it restarts
    • The keboard seems to be sensitive. I get the Alt and shift indicators at the top right when I press on the
    • The power button does not appear to cause any response

    I appreciate your help.

Edit: Desktop software indicates that the device is not connected, even if it is attached to the USB cable.

Edit: The combination Alt + Shift + Delete causes the system to go to a blank white screen with this "app" error mentioned above

You use BBSAK or JL_Cmder to wipe the device and then load the operating system on the device. Follow the instructions here:

  • BlackBerry Curve 9300 Smartphone keeps transmitting a soon exhausted battery data

I'm running a Curve 9300 that I sync with both my desktop PC on Lotus Notes and my PC at home on Outlook 2010.

When data transmission is enabled, I can see on-screen units continues to go to trasmit/reception and become quite meaningless. Battery turns off quickly.

I can use it as a phone plin keeping disabled data transmission.

    Can anyone help?

    Thank you!

Let me you a friend to watch it.

My Curve 9300 worked very well during the past year, and all of a sudden the phone seems to disconnect from the network without code error etc. Accordingly, no calls or output can be made / received, emails and BBM surveys the same question. All indications are that the service is running. The SW is version 6 and apparently is up-to-date. Any suggestions?

  • BlackBerry Curve 9300 Smartphone update

    Your carrier: Airtel

Model information and the version of the OS (go to settings, then Options, then): v6.0.0.706

Can someone please tell me who is the latest OS for curve 9300 3 and how do I put to it with step by step instructions. I am new to Blackberry Upgradation and all.

Hello and welcome to the community!

The easiest way is, on a PC (you can not do on MAC):

    (1) make sure that you have a current backup and your BB complete... you can find the instructions at the link in my auto-sig below.

    2) uninstall all the BB OS packages from your PC,

    (3) make sure you have the BB Desktop Software already installed

    (4) download and install on your computer, the BB OS package you want:

    • If all you want are the levels of BONE, it is first sorted by carrier - the carrier supports, your search will be fast. However, some carriers are much slower than others to release updates. To really get the package up-to-date OS for your BB, you need to dig through and find all businesses that support your specific model BB and then compare the BONE levels they support.
    • Find out who is the 'last' is difficult, however. Each carrier controls the release of the OS to their customers, but some carriers do they not release what they receive from BB. Yes, 'later' is a matter of company by company, not a universal.

    5) remove all copies of the SELLER on your PC. XML... There will be at least one and maybe 2, and they will be located in the same way or to (it changes based on your version of Windows) these files:

    • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
    • C:\Users\(your Windows username) \AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML

6 (a) to change your level of BB OS installed (at level or lower), you can run the Desktop software and connect your BB... the software should offer the operating system package you have installed on your PC.

6 (b) or, for recharging your BB OS level installed as well to change, work around the Desktop software and use the CHARGER. EXE directly, through step 2 in this process:

If, during the process of 6a or 6 b, your BB has an error '507', simply unplug the USB of the BB cord and reinsert it. do nothing else... This should allow the installation to continue.

If you are on a MAC, you are limited to only your sanctioned carriers OS packages... but can still use any level they currently have to sanction. See this procedure:

My app works on a Curve 8900 with os 4.6.1.310

My application for the battery drain did nothing more than before draining. The app has no timer and I just created a new record in RMS at 21:11 and then the battery drain started (I don't have touch the device more after that).

Maybe I use a lot of memory but battery never drain start at the same time and memory seems OK and no different than when it does not drain the battery.

There is no MemoryLeak because after the Garbage collector, I have the same amount of memory.

Is there a mechanism that can work when there is problem of memory like GarbageCollector in the BONE, or maybe that's not a problem of memory, which could drain the battery like that? There is nothing strange in the event log.

How can I get more information such as CPU, or anything else that can help me determine what is happen.

I can't reproduce the problem when I want and not on all my devices. We have change the levels is not a battery problem.

The device is connected to a BES and I disable memorycleaner, wifi, bluetooth, otasync, etc.

I tried with display of genius, but I wasn't able to watch it for the battery drain...

I am really lost and don't know what is coming...

    Please help me

I just found the cause of the problem, this is a loop of paint on a form that contains a custom textfield who painted it is own container which repainted the textfield itself, etc.
I solved the problem with JDE 5.0 and its view of CPU that helps me detect this problem.
    Thanks for your help!

  • BlackBerry Curve 9300 Smartphone

today is my second day with my new curve. I'm sychronisé with the USB cable but when I connect to my laptop, it never completely - connect it just repeat myself 'connection '. Is there something I can do to put an end to the eternal loop?

Restart the PC and the BlackBerry, and then try again.

With the BlackBerry powereddevice, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to restart. A reboot in this way is prescirbed for most the gltiches and operating system errors, and you will lose any data on the device doing so.

  • BlackBerry Curve 9300 Smartphones mail

Hello. I installed the new software for the Curve 9300. When I go into the configuration page to configure my email, it allows me to select the email icon. When I go to the mail icon in the main menu, it says "no message services configured. You will be redirected to the Setup Wizard to install your e-mail account '.' When I click ok, it opens a blank message template. Can anyone help? Thank you

Using your browser, go to mobile.blackberry.com

Scroll to the bottom to Communications, and then to the Email.

Select your type of e-mail that you want to configure and set up there.

  • Battery Drain on the IPhone 6s tried all what my batterery usually lasts a full 24 hours 6 now even not help

Tried most everything on the IPhone 6s battery drain because I've updated also OS 9.3.2 my battery went from Excellent too horrible will appreciate greatly any help too recti this question

Have what troubleshooting you tried? First, go to settings > farm and see what app is listed as using the highest percentage of your battery. You may have a blocked process that seeks to complete. How is - what report you? Weak signal will also cause a drain in the battery. Troubleshooting user steps include reboot, reset, restore from backup, restore to factory; tests after each stage. If you get all the way to the factory restore, make sure that you have a current backup of the phone and after the restoration, test before adding additional content to the device. This can help to rule out software problems.

  • iPhone 5 with 9.2.1 NEW battery drains during the night

In recent weeks has been my iPhone battery drain from one day to the next. It will be held at 55% and the next morning completely dead. It took to Apple, they replaced my battery under warranty cause I replaced in November and reset the network settings and the device. Last night, he was about 33%, and I woke up to it quite dead. I had no running applications. During the day, it doesn't drain on hold.  It will retain 100% mode sleep during the day. Is there a bug in 9.2.1?

  • battery drains while the macbook pro is in sleep

I have a Macbook Pro 13 inch, retina.  About 6 months.

Problem: Battery drains about 4%-5% per hour or more, while the computer is in sleep.  Which means that if I go to bed with the 30% battery charge, I'll wake up to a dead computer.

It started to happen about 2 weeks ago.  I already brought to an authorized, who ran the diagnostics.  Initially he failed cooling system test, but he re-greased the sink 'fan', and supposedly he passed all the tests.  But battery still absurdly quickly.

I tried to reset the SMC, by someone on the suggestion of this forum, but didn't seem to help.

    Any suggestion would be appreciated!

Bring it for repair.  Your MBP has a warranty for which you paid the money.  Use the warranty.

    Ciao.

  • BlackBerry BB Curve 8330 Smartphones and Palm Tungsten E2 - sync and use the Office to

    I have a new BB Curve 8330.

Before I used a cell and a Palm Tungsten E2.

I managed to export/import data from Palm to BB (via Microsoft Outlook).

I thought that the Blackberry will be delivered with its software for calendar/contacts/tasks - but I see only synchronize with Outlook.

I want to continue to use the Palm Desktop software and sync it on Blackberry.

It seems that it's not possible.

    Is it?

I have the habit of the Palm E2 and never used Outlook before. I like the features of Palm but BB does not work with it. Why does this work?

Any advice would be much appreciated!

    Thank you!

    Taylor

    Hello

You will not be able to use the Palm and Blackberry at the same time. BB does the synchronization only with Outlook. But the good news is that Palm will also sync with Outlook. If nothing is lost.

Sync the Palm to Outlook, and then synchronize the Blackberry to Outlook. Continue to use Outlook. You will have no need of the Palm is useless since once you have all the info in your Blackberry.

The functionality that a single out of the BB, it's that you don't have a portable documents, as it is in the Palm. I hope that manufacturers will think about fixing that in a couple of new editions to come.

I love my Blackberry and it is easy to forget that it is so different from the Palm.

If you like your Palm and can not get used to the BB then I suggest you get a Palm of Cingular ATT phone.

is much larger that the Curve 8330 I have.

I love my BB Curve 8330.

I've learned it's pretty fast and I gave my cousin my Palm E2.

Now, everything depends on how fast learner you are and how open you are to new.

    Good luck!

  • Battery life of the blackBerry Smartphones...

Hi... is it normal that my battery impoverish 25% after 30 minutes? no internet was used... a 6-minute phone call took place. I do not get 24 hours on my phone. He died each day.

    should I return it?

    Hi katie_151822,

No it's not normal. Usually a new battery should last relatively longer, but this will depend on your use of the device that is, talk time. Remember that it is normal for any battery drain more quickly (load bar) during the initial phase of use but as you go along takes longer to run out for last load bar.

  • Problems of Smartphones from blackBerry BB Curve 9300 laptop connection

    Hello

I have problems to connect my BB Curve 9300 to my laptop using the BB Desktop manager. I can't get past the required device password. I tried inputing my BB Curve password, PC, nothing helps. Any thoughts?

I'm with Orange and the BB OS version is V5.0.0.794.

The required password has nothing to do with the password for pc, sound purely the password for BB.

When you initially set the p/o, did you use numbers? Say 1234, may well be "wers" that is to say the letter on the keyboard of BB. Try this.

If this does not work, it may be, given the small keys you typed the adjacent key by mistake. Obviously, this is going to be a matter of time, but it might be worth trying if you regularly hit a particular key in the error.
