Battery fully charged but Equium M50 starts

Hello

I'm looking for some help with a battery problem.

A couple of days, I was using my pc and is going to move in the kitchen, but as soon as I unplugged the AC cable unplug the laptop has been cut.

I checked and it says the battery is 100% / full power.

This happened to someone else or someone know what is causing this / how to fix it?

Thank you.

Hello

First of all, if the laptop is connected to the power adapter then it should run and it lights without the use of the battery!

Second, if the battery is old it might happen that he was running only for a few minutes even it s fully charged.

Happens to me too my battery is about 6 years old and he says that a single minute. Then it s empty.

I know that I have to replace it, but the battery is not very important for me because my old laptop is still on the table and still connected to the power adapter.
If I can live with the bad battery

  • Battery fully charged, but by Satellite U500 does not illuminate

    Hi all

A year ago I bought a real replacement for my U500 battery. A few months ago the battery seems to go wrong (no charge), and as I was traveling I had no time to take it back to the dealer for yet another replacement. Last week, however, he started to work normally, all of a sudden - or so I thought.

It turns out that the battery actually collected (he recharged from 0 to 95% in any one hour, and now the icon says "95%, no charging current"), but it won't feed the machine. If I pull the plug, the machine will die immediately.
I tried to take the dough out and clean the contacts, but this doesn't seem to help.

Any input on this is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I think that the battery is defective.
You probably bought some sort of imitation product even if the part number would be the same.

Many 3rd party online resellers provide China cheap batteries that are compatible (the dimensions of the battery are the same), but the performance isn't the best

I think you need to replace the battery once more

  • Why the battery fully charged but used for 5 minutes will be disabled it?

    Hello

In fact I use iPad Air for 2 and a half years, but already had battery problem.i went to the premium Center in Penang service ask about it. Just give them the answer because the warranty is already so just may 1 to 1 change but must load RM1300 to change. Some can no longer repair. I feel unworthy because even if I bought the Sony Xperia Acro S used more than iPad but still better than the iPad battery. All my friends said that rarely face this kind of problem. How I'm going to support again once because of battery problem can't fix, and change must pay for the new ipad.

    Hello

Because the warranty is over, you can buy one off replacement warranty

But you have to pay part of the cost.

You must make an appointment on apple store.

  • my battery is fully charged, but my laptop can not use

I have a problem with my battery, im sure that the battery is ok because I've tried it in other computers portable vaio. the problem with my laptop and it can charge the battery to 100% but it can't use it, I want to say when the power supply is unplugged I can not turn on the laptop with the battery and I was able to do this with several batteries on my laptop and the laptop still does not work. I thnk the problem is something rlated to the BIOS, please help me if possible.

What is the model number of your VAIO and you use the battery that came with the VAIO?

  • Computer laptop battery "in charge" but stuck at 0%

    Hello

I have a G6-1b79ca Pavilion and the battery stopped charging.

Windows show "Plugged in, load" and level to remain at 0%. Forever.

Of course it is now completely empty.

If I remove the CC of the computer plug, turn it off immediately.

Here's what I did so far, more or less in that order:

    1. replace the battery (recommended by the logon page BIOS...)

    2 tried this popular patch:

Stop-> remove battery and power cord-> hold down the button "POWER" 30 sec-> power supply DC-> Boot->-> battery-> uninstall Microsoft ACPI-Complient control method battery -> Shutdown-> put the battery in the Device Manager (cannot start on him alone because it does not... but maybe that might help)-> start the computer

    3. updated all the drivers and reinstalled all the HP utility (got the Intel drivers on the Intel site)

    4. I updated the BIOS with the latest version and reset to default settings

5 tested the power supply with a multimeter (Psu unloaded, sleeve ground referenced outside it read 19.8V = internal plug, 18V centering PIN)

6 replace the motherboard (which has already been replaced)

    7. replace the power supply

    8 reinstalled Windows

9 weld the power directly to the motherboard adapter in order to bypass the connections all contacts (cut the CC Plug and soldered the bare wires directly on the pcb)

The utility HP BIOS (F2 on startup) told me that the new battery fails the test and must be replaced. Awesome.

The battery in the utility test assistant (run in Windows) HP tells me that the battery is OK, but would need to be loaded (Seriously? It becomes funny...)

So basically the material is new.

Utility Windows/HP tells me that the battery is OK, but the BIOS utility will tell me to replace it.

    What the hell is happening?

The material is supposed to be (entirely replaced) A1 and windows were completely reinstalled.

Any suggestion? My beginning of sanity to fade...

On a side note, here is the situation that I hope not occurred:

    1. the original battery has failed

    2. he burned the motherboard charging circuit

    3. I replaced the battery then damaged mother burned load circuit card

    4. I finally replaced the motherboard that was damaged by the new battery, which was damaged by the previous motherboard, which was damaged by the original battery...

5 return to square one, hundreds of $ less and a lot of time to lose...

I can't buy ANOTHER motherboard/battery combo without going crazy...

    Thanks for any help!

    HE IS ALIVE! Lolll!

The problem is the new battery, I don't know why, but it was completely empty and never had to charge.

I ask the seller to replace and load a new a bit so I was able to start on battery only.

I removed the power supply and the battery, which held the POWER button / 30 sec and started on the battery alone.

Once in Windows I pluged the charger and now it is fully charged!

Looks like the key here is to be able to start on battery alone. one thing I could never reach while struggling with that drained.

This thread of hope help someone solve battery problems, because there are MANY possible solutions.

Thanks to those who have taken their time to help!

References to Vista also apply to Windows 7.

Check with support from the manufacturer of their books online and the drivers and their forums system

In fact, what causes a lot of wear on a battery empties it too low on several occasions. With today
systems overload are not a problem.

Here are some tips to help and troubleshoot battery issues.

Old battery? Unplug the power to the computer - remove the battery and clean the contacts with a pencil
eraser (do not use this, if your battery is fine slots - just clean up the edges of the knife which fit in)
them and be careful). Batteries are old, or it could be a problem with the computer.
Check with the support of the machine system, and many of them have on line forums.

New Lithium-Ion type battery usually last longer if you do not unload then less than 30%
However on a laptop that not extend their life a lot. Best is to use the a/c adapter
    When this is possible.

I think that the material must be scanned for potential problems.
I can only speculate on the defective parts
It could be the power problem or something is broken on the motherboard, but its most of the time impossible to say what's wrong here

    Hello!

I was with my hp envy m4 core i7 for quite a while now... recently, I formatted and installed windows 8.1 64-bit installed. I decided to download some drivers from the hp site and I realized I needed to provide my model of laptop model number I could not remember so I decided to remove the battery while the computer is still connected to the power for the number, then I went back to the battery. the latter, I realized that the cell had not accused beyond of 7%, which was the level of support, until I removed the battery and when I checked the charge level, it indicated that it was plugged in but does not support. When I tried to repeat the entire process as well as close the laptop, remove the battery and turning it again nothing work and completely refusing to charge for its on.when I decided to turn off completely and then it was off it perfectly complete accused 100% operating battery estimated more than six hours of charge time, guys help me to understand what might have developed and what will be the best solution.

    Hi @Phanz,

    Thank you for your inquiry.

I entered which you have tried to download the driver on the HP website for your laptop but realized you need the model number.  You have removed the battery while the laptop is running.  Now when you reinstall the battery, it shows that it is connected but does not charge and continues to 7%.   You have repeated the process and close Notepad and removed and reinstalled battery, but there was no change. If you turn off it charges the battery to 100%.

You did all your Windows updates?

Have you tried the troubleshooter in Windows?

First of all, I would like to try a Windows restore to before remove you the battery.

HP computers - using the Microsoft System Restore (Windows 8)

If restore doesn't work or is not possible, you could try a Refresh Your PC to solve problems (Windows 8).

Then you can try the following steps.

HP laptops - test and calibrate the battery (Windows 8)

The battery method compatible ACPI Microsoft control is basically the driver that communicates between the computer and the battery. There is a chance that it became corrupt and bad reads the battery level.

Step 1. Go to the Device Manager
    Step 2. Select the stacks
Step 3. Click with the right button on the "Microsoft compatible battery ACPI Control method" which is in the list
    Step 4. Click on uninstall
Step 5. At the command prompt, put a checkmark in the box to remove the current driver
Step 6. Shut down the computer

Step 7: Remove the battery for a minute and then put new

When the computer returns to the top it should automatically find the driver.

Step 8. Go to the Device Manager
    Step 9. Select the stacks
Step 10. Click with the right button on the "Microsoft compatible battery ACPI Control method" which is in the list
Step 11. Click "automatically search for an updated driver.

Do the same thing with embedded controller compatible ACPI Microsoft.

Last option is to reinstall your Windows 8.1 Pro.

    Good luck!

  • Battery "connected, charge", but DOES not charge.

    Hello

I've recently updated in Windows Vista Home Premium to Windows 7 Home Premium.  With Vista, my battery played very beautifully and I've never had problems.  As soon as I have upgraded to Windows 7, I currently has the following problem:

When I hover over the battery icon in the system tray, it says ' 19% available (plugged in, load).  However, the battery is not at all.  The small farm level animation stops and, although the system seems to thinking that is my battery charge, it is not.  When I first installed the new OS, battery charges to 69% with the same problem, so he went up to 75 percent for about 1 week before in free fall, so that now my battery charge limit is 19%, which, as you can imagine, takes about 15 minutes to the battery power.

After several redundant and unnecessary communications with Microsoft, I thought that maybe someone on this forum might have experience with this problem or any suggestions on what I could try.

Note that it is NOT apparently common problem some people have with the battery saying "plugged in, not charging", that my system is specifically stated the battery recharges when it is not.

It took me some time to get even Microsoft agree the problem they insisted that it was because my battery is a bit old.  However, this happens with the two batteries that I own, using a charger that I have, and, as I said before, it started just when I installed clean Windows 7.

Thanks in advance for any help!

  • HP pavilion x 360: works with a fully charged battery

Hi, when I work connected to AC with the battery fully charged, it damages the battery? or the load is stopped and I get HQ directly to the PC?

    Thank you!

    Hi @avisaf,

    Thank you for your inquiry.

There is no harm in the use of current alternative when the battery is fully charged. Once the charge is completed it stop the load until the battery again reached a specific parameter, date on which it will begin to load it again.

He stops the load cells when they are full and gives more power when they are too weak. Prevents them from short circuit or having too much power from their part. The best thing about Li - ion cells is that you can just reload them here and there, giving them a bit of power every so often, a full charge. They are how to always have a life expectancy of so many cycles and so eventually lose their charge max (read once you run the battery for).

One thing essential to consider (depending on where you live) East of power cuts, if the computer you suddenly lose power, it is not healthy. Ditto for your laptop, if you have removed the battery. The battery works as a UPS (uninterrupted power supply) so you can always use your laptop and turn it off safely.

All rechargeable batteries have a limited number of charge cycles and should be replaced.

Here is a link to HP - laptops test and calibrate the battery (Windows 8) if you need.
