battery problem: message "consider replacing the battery.

original title: battery problem

Hello.

I think I have a problem with my battery today. I bought my laptop on October 2010 and everything was OK until today: the indicator of battery on the computer screen with a blinking red and it says that I should "consider replacing the battery.
Then, when I plug the battery on the computer, there is one other Red Cross on the battery indicator, and also said I should 'consider replacing the battery. In addition, it is written "a battery problem has been detected. Your computer may suddenly stop. However, I see that the battery is charging (the battery indicator increases).
Finally, when I unplug the battery from the computer, after 5 minutes on all messages have gone, and everything seems completely normal.
So, I wonder if there is a real problem, and you think that I should really change the battery soon (I would find it strange that my cell phone is almost brand new)?

Thank you.

    97% available (plugged in, load)

    Hello

Yes, you can even power off the power and remove the battery and then use the computer with
no battery inside on alternating current.

Have you checked the troubleshooting that I posted earlier? Clean the battery terminals,
If possible and the other methods sometimes help to revive a weak battery. Of course
age of batteries with use and time, so the battery is lower than when new.

I hope this helps and happy holidays!

  • Message "Consider replacing your battery" Windows 7 and battery.

In the previous beta and Windows 7 RC, I received an error message saying "Consider replacing your battery" "there is a problem with your battery, so your computer might suddenly turns off".

I know that the battery is good. It works great under Vista, this isn't about 4 months, it lasts 2 hours +, and even in Windows 7, it will last for the same period of time as it did in Vista.

People say (as well as microsoft) that it's the BIOS and it must be updated.  Well, I got the latest BIOS from LG, which is dated in 2009, and that has not changed anything.  I conclude that it is NOT the BIOS because vista has reported estimated time left of the battery very well, even before the bios update, and I have the latest version of the BIOS.

I ran the command powercfg of energy and he said that windows was not able to determine the capacity of the battery, but if I install the batery LG application, it will tell me all the information on the battery.

I even went up to try battery of my friend who is less than 3 weeks, and there was always the same error messages.

Microsoft, fix this problem and if you cannot, then give users an option to take out / disable the flashing X which is on top of the power tray icon and remove both her "consider replacing your battery" and "there is a problem with your battery, so your computer might turns off suddenly" messages so we don't have to see that every day because the battery is actually GOOD and functioning.

    Hi Philippe

These nubers show that the battery of your computer has about 35 percent of its original charge capacity left.

It is the threshold of 40% and warns against why you receive who "consider replacing your battery."

Until you can replace the battery, make sure that you do not all essential functions such as upgrades of Windows, installation of programs, creating a backup, or by using the system restore, unless the computer is connected.

  • will I have problems if I replace the OEM motherboard with a new?

Someone at - it successfully system OEM motherboard replace?

I'm fixing a child 6 years out of warranty HP m7160n Media Center PC with a motherboard failed.  If I replace the MB with a new one, I have software problems?  My goal is just to make a quick motherboard replacement and restore the computer to the owner with that little pain as possible.  What I don't want to do, is to have spend $90 (HP parts store wants $250) on a replacement motherboard and then have to deal with software problems then currently installed programs or the operating system.  It did not come with a Windows Media Center CD, everything is in the HP recovery partition the existing drive.

It's my understanding that even though I am an end user, I should have no problem getting it registered/validated until I replace the motherboard with the same make and model that came in the original system.  Thanks in advance for your answers.

A motherboard with like-for-like replacement should be no. emits either with software, drivers etc although you'll probably have to revalidate.

Problems arise only if the new hardware is substantially different from the original, in particular with the chipset of the card. That being said however in many cases you should be able to boot and install the drivers required during the initial start-up. The only exception is the player interface as this may generate a blue screen INACCESIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE and the only way around this is to pre-install the new drivers on the old system before the change, though if the reason for this change is a dead motherboard that does not help.

I once replaced a mobo with a failed IDE port by plugging a PCI one which enabled him to start, install the drivers for the card, install the drivers for the new Board of Directors and then replaced the Board of Directors.

Regarding the licensing issues, it's a moot point on how you can replace before it ceases to be that a repair is disabled so the EULA. I saw someone claims that he could not get a direct replacement mobo a generic would not fit the case of mark and so it "replaces" the case as well. In other words it did take out the HARD drive and put it into a new clone system. Not permitted under this EULA.

I tried to reinstall windows and after loading all software the message windows cannot run on this computer

The system restarts and uninstall success windows and restores the original defective

It is a HP PC comes with Windows Vista and was then upgraded to Windows 7. has run like that without problems, then the HD had to be replaced which started this problem

Keep in mind that a clean install as it will wipe your computer, so if you don't have a backup, make a partition.

  • failure message after replacing the drive #2 0203 IDE

My DVD is UJ - 820B and I replaced it with exactly the same.
The dif is that the former is FW: 1.00 while the other is FW: 1.05
    1. is the only solution to fix the PIN? If Yes can you pls confirm with pins.
    2. the IDE #2 error means that: Bay DVD is on primary slave while the DVD is secondary master or vice versa?

Can is it you further please let me know.
If you wish to contact me by e-mail at [email protected]

I guess that the CD/DVD drive supports another setting master/slave/c-salt.
FDI #2 error is displayed because the BIOS can't recognize the drive correctly.

The problem is that it of not possible to change these settings as on external drives by changing the rider a special internal firmware control these settings.

You suggested that the reader is the same but the firmware is different.
Well, in my opinion, that's a reason for the issue

  • How to replace the battery of the BIOS on Equium A210

    I have a Toshiba Satellite A210.

I can boot the system after many powers and stop operations. When finally, starts the need to press F1, and I get a message like: replace the bios battery.

    How can I do?
    Thank you

Cannot replace the BIOS battery so simply, and this should be done by the only authorized service provider.
The whole notebook must be dismantled.

Maybe your BIOS battery must be charged properly. In user manuals, you can find the exact instructions how do.

    Can find you it?
