Bays of mathscript rt module-3D LV2013

In these forum discussions, I have seen that earlier versions of the labview mathscript rt module did not support 3D tables. Does anyone know if this is still the case with LV2013 or LV2014?

I use LV2013 and tried to create a 3D chart

> C = zeros (3,3,4)

Error based on the zeros to line 1, column 5: you have specified wrong number of input parameters for this function.

Thank you.

The limitation still exists in 2015 from LabVIEW.

(quote from the help: "scalars and One - and two-Dimensional tables...") »)

What you trying to do? Often, implement an algorithm in ordinary LabVIEW is more easy and efficient. Ordinary LabVIEW supports a reasonable number of dimensions.

    Hi all

I recently installed LabVIEW 2012 in my PC with Windows 7. However, Mathscript does not at all. It says "an internal error has occurred in the MathScript RT Module.  Restart LabVIEW and try again.  If the error persists, reinstall the MathScript RT Module. "I did it, but still does not work. It is said further than Mathscript is missing or not installed", but I have installed. What the problem would be, please?

  • MathScript module required for the performance of nodes?

I am considering buying the mathscript module but have a question that I can't find an answer to.  Once a program including mathscript node has been developed, it can be run with a LabVIEW license that does not include the module?  I write software for customers who are not currently that this module and want to make sure that it will be able to use the program without purchasing the add-on.  Is this possible without creating an .exe?

When you have a VI that includes the Mathscript RT module, any time you want to open and run VI only, it must be on a computer with LabVIEW and the MathScript RT Module. Once VI is built in a .exe then it can run on a computer with only the runtime engine.

If you need end-user to modify a VI that uses your RT code, you could always build the VI in a DLL, and the end user can access this DLL and feed in the parameters and results.

  • How to feed a cluster in the mathscript?

    Hi all

I'm trying to feed a cluster in the mathscript. I found that, if the name of the element in the cluster has no spaces or special characters, it works fine. But it does not work if the name of the cluster components have special characters. That's how Mathscript designed? No work around here?

    Hey dragondiver,

We hope that you do well today. This document overviews the intended use and the behavior of data with MathScript types.

Transmission of data in and out of the node MathScript (MathScript RT Module)

    http://zone.NI.com/reference/en-XX/help/373123C-01/lvtextmathmain/ms_passing_data_lv_mathscript/

So, to answer your question more specifically, the rule for naming elements within a cluster in the node is,

"You have to tag individual items in the cluster. The labels must begin with an alphabetic character and can contain only alphanumeric characters and underscores, no spaces. »

It must explain the behavior you're seeing with your code!

  • updated 2009 LabVIEW Mathscript

    Hello

I developed an application in LabVIEW 8.6 who
contains a large MathScript node. It's time to upgrade to LabVIEW 2009
and I am facing problems in that. I have the Mathscript RT Module
installed and enabled on my computer.

    I want to emphasize that
the application works perfectly at 8.6. After the first performance in
    version 2009, I got 2 errors:

    -90031: "unknown output."
variable. The variable is a string. He showed up in a red dot
(see photo). I've never seen this before red dot...

    another
error in another node:-20104: input parameter have at least a NaN
element. What is an element of NaN? This error occurs in a line that looks like
    as A = median (B) where B is a vector line.

    also in this second
node, I have a lot of output shown in the red dots, the string variables
outputs and some double precision as well.

    What
are the requirements to upgrade to LabVIEW 2009, insofar the MathScript
is concerned? There are issues to be addressed? major changes, I should
    Be aware of?

    Thank you very much

    Sam

    Hi Sam,

You can define variables by their wiring as inputs or by setting them in the script of the node.

If your solution is still available in 2009. In fact, this looks like the right solution to get the behavior you're looking. I think that the reason that it does not work is that there is still some output variables that need to have your solution that are applied to them. These output variables are currently not be wired in the shift registers MathScript node and are only defined in the case of statements which are false, when your code is running. So, if wire you these variables in the MathScript node, the errors should go away and you will not see the default values.

Initialization of variables in the upper part of the MathScript is another way to get rid of the error. However, it seems that this is not the best solution in your case because you want the variables to receive the same value they had at a previous time, that run MathScript node. The best way to do is with registered SHIFT wired as inputs to the node.

The reason for this change in behavior between 8.6 and 2009 is indeed to help users find bugs or logical errors with their code. The new behavior makes it less likely that downstream from the MathScript node code tries to use an output that has an invalid value (by default).

I hope that this explanation makes things a little clearer.

    Thank you

  • lack of LabVIEW MathScript commands for control systems

    I look at these:

It comes with LabVIEW control system engineering.

I have 2015 LabVIEW MathScript RT and a trial license for the library control and Simulation.  I also installed MatLab license, but it doesn't have the toolboxes of the control system.

They both use the command 'SS' in MathScript.  I can't find.  I get errors.  I am looking for help and he's not here.  It is not in the examples.  When I look at the block schema of VI of the video HAS I have fewer controls on mine.  I get the PID, fuzzy and System Identification.  I do not have "SISO.

I have several assumptions about what is wrong:

    • It has been removed from the MathScript RT module.
    • I need a package of different tools or demo.
    • It has a new name that is not intuitive.

You can help me find the "ss" command so I can reproduce what they do?

You have installed the wrong version of the Control Design and Simulation module - version must match the version of LabVIEW (i.e. 2015, in your case).

Download/install the older version and you should be good to go.

Reactions of NOR Mathscript support structures in LV 2011? There was mention that it is on the roadmap for LV 2011 in one post, that I found on this forum, but this refers to the NIWeek 2009.

    X,

I can't talk specifically about all the new features in upcoming versions of any software of NEITHER, but we are very excited about the next version of the MathScript RT Module. We worked diligently to understand the needs of our user base and give priority to those that are based on the impact it will have on the compatibility, usability and productivity. I believe that the next version will significantly impact your (and others) ability to import more of your files ".m" custom in LabVIEW.

  • Problem view Lab mathscript rt suite student edition

I bought the suite 2012 Student edition software recently, according to the descriptiton on NOR it should have mathscript on it, but I get error when I run mathscript below. Comments about how to solve the problem would be appreciated.

LabVIEW: Module MathScript RT is not installed on this computer, expired or is terminated improperly. Install or activate LabVIEW MathScript RT Module on this computer to continue using this product. Visit the Web of National Instruments to ni.com buy these products. If you have already purchased this product, select help > activate LabVIEW components to activate this product.

This is the link I bought:

    http://E5.OnTheHub.com/WebStore/OfferingDetails.aspx?WS=49c547ba-f56d-DD11-bb6c-0030485a6b08&VSRO=8&...

    I run window 7.

Setup may be separated on these discs or on another drive anyway, your serial number needed to activate it and it still would be set up as its own separate module. Please download the module Mathscript RT the link in my first post. You can also download other modules of our Web site and should be able to enter your serial no for them to activate in the License Manager EITHER.

It looks not to the module Mathscript RT is installed or installed in the wrong order.

  • MathScript node: an error internal mathscript: 64-bit LabVIEW 2009

    Hi people.

I have an installation now LabVIEW 2009 9.03f, Vision and Advanced Signal Processing Toolkit, all 64-bit versions on a new computer, so that I can convert a code from 32 to 64-bit.

I tell myself that I will address the errors one by one and this is the first.  I have a VI with mathscript node and the VI, who instructed and ran very well in the 32-bit environment, is now broken and giving the error "mathscript node: a mathscript internal error."  My main concern - is mathscript unsupported in LabVIEW 64-bit right now?

I enclose the VI.  Any ideas are appreciated.  I need to get this working.

In addition, NEITHER is there a special forum of 64-bit we should publish in the future, or create to post on?

    Sincerely,

    2009 help

LabVIEW MathScript is a language based on text that you can use to write scripts and functions. You can process the scripts using LabVIEW MathScript in the Window of LabVIEW MathScript or a MathScript node. When you create a LabVIEW MathScript, you use data types supported.

The MathScript syntax is intuitive and logical syntax essentially based on the standard mathematical and computer programming terms, mandate of widespread and common use truncation or descriptive abbreviations and concatenations of standardized terms. The Window of LabVIEW MathScript and MathScript nodes are able to process files that you create using the MathScript current syntax and, for backward compatibility, files that you created using legacy MathScript syntaxes. The Window of LabVIEW MathScript and nodes MathScript can also process some of your files using other textual syntaxes, such as files that you created by using the MATLAB® software. Because the MathScript RT Module engine is used to treat the scripts in the Window of LabVIEW MathScript and MathScript node, and the MathScript RT Module engine can't stand any of the syntaxes, not all existing text scripts are supported.

(64-bit LabVIEW) LabVIEW MathScript is not supported in LabVIEW (64-bit).

  • Satellite Pro R50-B-12U and memory update

    Hello

I have a Satellite Pro R50-B-12u with 4 GB of RAM.
I bought a 4 GB of additional RAM stick but can not see how adapt you it.

My last Satellite Pro had a memory of flap at the back, but everything I see on the back is about 20 screws but no flap!

Can someone please help me or point me in the right direction?

    Thank you in advance.

    TIF

    Hello

Satellite R50 does not separate memory Bay.
The memory modules and slots are hidden under the hood.

To have access to modules, the cover must be removed.
But I wouldn't recommend doing this because it would negate the warranty!

I guess that your warranty is still valid and in this case only the authorized technician must perform these updates to keep the warranty valid.

  • Eval commands and Matlab num2str

    All,

I searched all the 12 pages of this forum and this solution is not found.  If this is a repeat, I am sincerely sorry.

I try to use the MathScript matlab Module "eval" and 'num2str' orders.  For example:

    II = 01:10;
    eval (['w' num2str (ii) ' = ii ;']);])
    end

The problem is that 1) it says that it will slow down the program (I get only) and 2) it does not seem to run the script.  I'm looking for some 'w' matrices/vectors/scalars as output.

In addition, as part of the script that I have other variables that I would use as output.  When I try to add them, labview stipulates that: "you must set this variable in the script and then set its data type. I get the output variable: right click--> Add out--> click variable.  Even variables that are not used in the script I want to pass give the same error.

    For example:

    input variables x = y z

    II = 1:x

    eval (['y' num2str (ii) ' = ii ;']);])

    end

output (by above method) variables will show all three, but even with just passing through "z" I get this same error.

This error does not appear when I do basic math in the node and pass the unused variables.

Ideas, suggestions, solutions would be appreciated.  If necessary I can post some of my code; However, I gave the relevant information above.

    Best,

    Corbin Walker
