  If you have restored a backup of your phone, it have restored to backup your BBM contacts. As part of the restore lists the process it would update your contacts with your new PIN.

  If you have BBM v7 or newer contacts BBM are saved with your BlackBerry ID and you need only memory in BBM with your new device. If you have a v6 or older then they would be stored in your backup with Desktop software.

  @lannyongenglan the only method to remove your BBID account is to have access to the associated email account, see this KB for details on how to delete an account BBID - KB35103 - how to remove BlackBerry ID account used with BBM for Android, iPhone and Windows Phone.

  For the scenario you described my recommendation is to connect to your BBID account and change password.  This will force anyone who uses the account BBID to enter the new password to continue using it.

  Sorry to hear of your lost phone.

  Had you set up BB Protect on your device? If so, you can erase remotely, as long as it is running.

  Otherwise, you should contact your carrier and follow the instructions to report a lost or stolen phone. They will ensure it is disconnected from your services and separate the PIN and the SIM.

I also bought a new blackberry curve 9300 and restored all my data from my old blackberry id. Everything worked fine until about a month after my old phone was stolen. Everything was fine except I now im my bbm interference. My profile picture is often changed and I get contacts without confirming them. After a few days to deal with the technical support told me that the phone must be put to the index with blackberry as well as my ISP. I was also told that this process had never been done before, and the chance to get with my phone was not very high. The reason was that the technical support should send a request to blackberry on the blacklist of the bb id, an e-mail.
