  1. in a business environment, what is the correct way of installing ODI (like having ODI server in Unix machine where the FMW & WLS and Client are installed in the computer of each developer, which connects to the single master & repository for development work)?   As stated in the notification message, you see this update because you probably have another component which released LabVIEW RT 2012 - NOR-RIO 12.0, WSN 1.4 or Fieldpoint 6.0.11.  It was to fix a specific problem in 2012 of LabVIEW, which hit the RT, so if you haven't installed LabVIEW 2012 then the patch will be neither harmful nor helpful to you; However, files of Framework Setup OR RIO, WSN and Fieldpoint for RT should be updated to be compatible with changes in LabVIEW (and so you probably installed component that has an update is available, even if 2012 LabVIEW itself is not installed).

  I started experimenting with RMAN as another way for backup (currently we use backup with storage). I'm running a few tests every day to check the overhead and time there and also check the storage space needed for our system.

  At first, everything seems fine, I tested a few default options and then started to configure the RMAN suite better our needs.

  The problem:

  During my recent tests found that RMAN's backup of my database twice, but I could not find out where I configure it to run this way.

  I even put a basic Vanilla with the same features, but it produces a single backup set.

  You present, evidence that it is '2 backups of a database'.  I see two backupsets, each with a different set of data files in your ad.  If the backup is spanning two backupsets - you probably more than 64 files of data.

  I work with a client with a cluster of OBIEE 11.1.1.7.1 with 2 nodes. Our client wishes to install OBI APPS 11.1.1.7.1 on it. (I already installed OBI APPs on a single node without problem)

  My Question is simple: can I install OBIAPPS in a cluster environment? If Yes, when set up, should I run "configApps.sh" on each node, or just on the first node? I ask this because I know that the configuration edit the field, but also the coreapplication (presentation server).

  If you are concerned about support, you generally want to install everything through the Oracle Universal Installer (except the very occasional components that do not use the YES). Oracle supports usually only software installed via the installer, because particularly on Windows, there are a number of registry entries must be created.

  You can certainly do a custom installation of the personal edition on end-user machines. There are a few prerequisites that must be installed according to me (who will take care of the Installer). I guess that your customization will take the form of a response to the YES file, to do a silent install?

  Play with keyboard

  About reading as well as MIDI, while recording audio, you're right, you need to create a workaround and because it is not possible "out of the box.  To play your MIDI keyboard, you must select a software Instrument track. If you have active recording an Audio track for recording, then this software Instrument track is also recorded in the recording Mode.

  Installation program:

  Here's a pretty simple tip to have a dedicated software tool Track/Channel Strip which is always "playable (it requires a bit of knowledge of the environment):

  • In the environment, go to the layer 'click & Port '.
  • Create software Instrument Channel Strip and assign it to 255 Inst.
  • Load a Plugin Instrument (i.e. piano) on this channel strip
  • Drag an extra cable from the existing output of the object of "Entry Notes" to that Channel Strip object
  • (Optional) You can create a button object to control the Mute button of this channel strip. You can put this button on a separate layer of environment, make it a floating window and place convenient anywhere on your screen. You can even assign a button on your external MIDI keyboard to control this button so that you can play it "along keyboard' on and outside.

  What you have done:

  • Any incoming MIDI signal is now sent "parallel" to this software Instrument Channel Strip (255).
  • If you have created a track for this channel strip, you can have displayed it in the mixer (or you select the button display the mixer 'All')
  • When you play your external MIDI keyboard, it will be routed to the Channel Strip and you can set the controls on that strip of Chanel
  • Whenever you need to hear this channel strip, just mute it.
  • Your external MIDI keyboard will still be routed to any selected track in the track area and its MIDI signals can be recorded as usual.

  This client program are launching for the PC of the individual user.
  The above configuration is in a windows domain.
  Currently, web services allow anonymous access. This means that anyone in the Organization, with the correct URL is able to trigger the web service.
  We are asked to remove anonymous access and all forms authentication configuration.
  Questions

  1. What is the best practice for configuration for a web service for windows authentication.

  2. We also have a couple of unix servers. They are required to access the web services (with the correct authentication). How can I get a cross-environment configuration?

• Access to the BlackBerry through the USB port on the virtual machine VMWare

  I have my development environment configuration in VMWare virtual machine, and I have no problems of deployment of BlackBerry applications on a simulator that runs as another virtual machine. The problem starts when I try deploying to the device via the USB port. The address is assigned when the mode of development on the device is not accessible from the VM, but only from my host, who do me any good, since as I said my IDE is in the virtual machine. A way to solve this problem? I can still deploy to the device via wi - fi (which is btw access via different ip - one given by the network) by this can sometimes be slow depending on the strength of the signal, etc, so I prefer to be able to deploy via the USB port.

  Just in case anyone has the same problem, how to activate must, VMWare Player click on the USB icon (to the right) and choose to disconnect from the host. Connecting the USB port at the prompt. Stupid...

• Several groups Etherchannel summary

  I have a strange problem with a port-channel configuration on my 6509 (IOS 12.2 (33) SXI4a) with redundant Sup720s.  Before going much further to try to remedy through experimentation I wanted to receive feedback from others, in case anyone has seen this behavior.  I think I know why it happened, but I would have preferred to better understand the reasons and also the best way to solve it.

  We have a lot of servers in our environment configured with double copper 1 GB interfaces running in a configuration of Etherchannel delivered to our core 6509 switch.  We use LACP (assets) to support reunification between switch and servers

  We started with some WS-X6148A-GE-TX-line cards installed in order to support the lower flow of our servers at the same time and save money.  These line cards are oversubscribed on a ratio of 8: 1 as far as bandwidth goes, and we received with this for quite a while.  It emerged last year that we had heavy - hitting a few servers that receive many a fallen executives as contactors interfaces were not able to follow, if we bought a WS - X 6748-GE-TX line card that is almost full-speed capable line by port.

  Because we wanted to migrate these servers to the new card online with minimal downtime I thought the easy way to do the following:

  (1) put two interfaces on the line-new map in the same group of port-channel ports currently in use for this server.

  (2) move a cable in one of the new ports and wait to get online in the bundle of this port.

  (3) move the rest of the cable in the port of other new and confirm that it delivered.

  (4) remove the two old ports on the map in slow-line of the config of the channel port.

  Using this method with two servers to work pretty smoothly without breakdown in communication to servers.  However, I seem to have some odd leftover information in my config bothering me.  Here is an example:

  As you can see, I have now two groups under this configuration of etherchannel port-channel.  No ports are assigned to the original Po36, and the new Po36A contains the two new ports.

  It also shows that I have 37 aggregators and only 35 groups of channels actually in use.  I wonder if this is going to happen with all the servers that I have to do and, ultimately, reduce the port channel groups total I can configure and I used.

  My idea of why this could have happened back to fundamental differences in the line cards themselves.  Going enabled card of tissue non-tissu a permit probably was a little too wait for a package of four way occur when I put all four ports in the group.

  As much as to get rid of him, I think to close the interface port-channel itself, then physical, then all ports put up in reverse order.  I hope that it would not come down to close the ports and left-hand config port all channel and reconfigure.  At worst a switch reboot, but it's absolutely a last resort, and if I were to conclude that it was to have some sort of negative performance impact.

  No previous experience or input would be appreciated.  I was unable to find anyone in the forum regarding documentation and a similar story has not received me any where.

  And for you to remove the aggregation switch reload or flapping interface would not help. I'm afraid you will have to reconfigure the portchannel again. It's the only way you can get rid of it.

• Managed Server failed with error libOvd

  I have cluster with 6 Managed server environment configured in Machine 3. Machine has Admin and 2 Managed Server, Machine B has 2 Managed Server and Machine 3 has 2 Managed server. Recently, I have restarted all the managed server. The server managed on computer A another start that all servers are STATE of shows like "FAILED_NOT_REACHABLE".   My hypothesis is correct. After that I installed webtier on Machine A (Server Admin), it changes some files in the Ovdlib in the House of Middleware does level not the domain level.
