Beach ball of death as well as by the slow performance of spinning glaciers

Hi people,

I have been enduring the beach ball of death from a spinning some time now in the calculation of my daily life and I just can't take longer, as long as it happens little matter what I do on the Mac, and performance are slowed by the glaciers.

It happens all the time.

I ran several ladies of virus, including clams and none of them came with something.

The problem came slowly over a long period of time. Now, however, the beach ball takes over whenever I'm on Mac to the point that I have to force quit, and then restart just to get anything done, and even then, it is not long until the ball is back and performance slows down again.

Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.

Please let me know if you need more information than that on my computer:

Please post a report of EtreCheckof your system. We then look for obvious problems. Please click on the link, download the application and run the report. Once you have the report, please copy and paste into your response to this post.

If you would like more information on what is EtreCheck, just click on the link and you will find a description of the application.

It is very possible that your problem much worse by installing antivirus on your computer applications. AV apps for Mac are useless, there is no virus for OS X. Most tend to create more problems than they solve so look for developers instructions to uninstall (s) installed and uninstall them.  Run the EtreCheck report after it has been uninstalled. OS X needs no antivirus, cleanup or ANY third party maintenance apps. If left alone and simply updated OS X will run well for most users for years!

  • I constantly receive the death spinning beach ball by adding or modifying contacts since the upgrade to El Capitan.

I did a bit of investigation on it. Here are the facts:

    (1) I use Apple Contacts.app to synchronize with Google contacts.

    (2) I have two computers, a MacBook Air 2013 and an iMac late 2012, the two 10.11.2 running. With respect to the mail, contacts, calendar, etc., they are configured identically.

    (3) I had this problem (among others) for the upgrade on my iMac 2012, so I did a clean install of 10.11.

    (4) this problem occurs ONLY on the iMac (again, same configuration on both machines).

    (5) I removed the plist and all other data in/application Support and restarted several times related to the contacts.app. No dice.

    (6) I repaired disk permissions. No dice.

My best guess that sandboxing OS x system is denied access to the demon DNS resolver by com.apple.AddressBook service, seeking to talk with Google at any time any changes.

So here's my question: anyone know how I can ask the system to sandbox of chill out on these queries and continues to deny access to the network? Is there a text file somewhere that I can change to provide permissions for com.apple.AddressBook?

And also, is it not funky how he's just on a single computer, both with the same configuration in system preferences?

  • Constant beach ball since upgrade to El Capitan

    Hello

I use a middle of the retina 2014 MBP with 16 GB of ram and a 512 GB SSD, the machine would never cause me problems or failure until I updated to El Capitan.

Now I am constant beach balls gets when I use the machine, it is sometimes finder which crashes, or Safari, whenever the accident lasts 5-10 minutes until the BONE is still sensitive. I can switch between applications, but can't do anything with them, force quit does not work until after the accident.

I was hoping that I could go down with time machine, but my previous backups seem to have disappeared, so I only have the backups I've made since the update to El Capitan, so now my only options are to find the source of accidents or wipe my machine and do a clean install.

I hope someone can help me to get to the bottom of this issue. I tried to run in safe mode and everything works well, I tried to connect as a guest user but accidents still happen so it seems to be a problem with OS.

  • MacBook Pro (3-inches, mid-2012) suddenly started running very slowly; Beach balls very common

About a week and a half, it started running very slowly with the spinning beach balls popping up all the time.  This reminds me of how when I have too many tabs of the browser as in the past, but now, even with browsers had closed, open Word or Skype is really slow.  (I'm sorry for any confusing formulation; I'm not very computer customer connected, unfortunately!)

Some of the things I've tried so far and EtreCheck below):

    -safe mode

-detection of hardware problems (control + D)

    -reset the PRAM

-using the utility disc for repair/first care; also check

-wipe the hard drive and reinstalling original OS X Lion (was still slow with beach balls; I tried to install OS X El Capitan to see if that would help, but installation could not finish)

-wipe the hard drive and restarting from a backup previous (one month before the problems started)

Thank you in advance for your answers - I'm just at a loss for what could be the real problem!

You Mbps HARD drive is suspect.  Start the recovery (COMMAND-R) partition and select in menu 4 disk utility.  Run disk utility > first aid > repair.

Unrelated, but your battery has seen a lot of use.  I suggest to replace.

    Ciao.

    You run the application Photos?

  • Ok Internet speeds (75/73) but with any browser-help beach ball!

I just upgraded to el Capitan in an attempt to solve this problem, but nothing helped.

I have FIOS and test my speed up/download on my desk, they are about 80/80. But when I use internet (Safari or Firefox) I STILL have the beach balls and a long latency time. I tried to use ethernet and WiFi connections and the same question. MacBook Pro my husband (WiFi) and our iPhones are MUCH faster, even if far from the router. My computer is directly connected to the router and located next to it.

I brought it Genius Bar yesterday and all tests came out fine. I sometimes too many shifts with other programs, but the major problem is the Internet. Any advice would be great!

    Thank you.

You have installed malware/scamware. Start by getting rid of CleanMyMac

  • This update will solve the issue of "beach ball"?

Will this update the problem of 'beach ball' where my iMac freezes randomly & have to reboot?

N ° there is no widespread problem in a first time. Update of a machine that has a pre-existing problem will not solve the problem. You need your fix.

Download etrecheck, run it and post the report here. It will give information you on what can cause your system to bog down.

  • Safari crashes - pages partially loaded, then the "beach ball".

When I open a tab (or even a new window) and access most of the sites, safari seems to load he pave (very slowly...), and then, when you try to access anything whether it's on the page - scroll, etc), it crashes - can't do anything.

I get the "beach ball" Killing Safari does not help, or don't disconnect and turn off the power.

My wife uses a Mac Plus, separate, but with the same version of operating system, same version of Safari, and it does not reach him on his computer.

Is there some cache that can be cleaned, or some things that can be trashed, to solve this problem?

    I am running

    10.9.5 OSX version

    Safari Version 9.1.2 (9537.86.7.7)

I have all kinds or problems with Firefox, so I prefer to use Safari, but this does not happen with Firefox.

    Any help will be appreciated

I suggest you only begin by taking the measures recommended in this support article.
