Beachballing - report Etrecheck

Hello.  I hope someone can help me - my iMac has suddenly begun beachballing two days earlier and slowing almost to a stop.  Since then, he has been erratic, speed up and slow down again.  Here's the report from Etrecheck.  Before that I had recently installed Adobe flash plug in, also created a couple of new accounts and updated Adobe reader.  I seemed that the Mac was gradually slowing down a week or so in advance.  Also, I found that I can't access system preferences.  Thank you for advice or suggestions.  PS I'm not technical at all!  In addition, a little long in the tooth so patience is appreciated.

It is strange that EtreCheck reports 'ram insuficient' when you have 8 GB. I don't see any of the usual suspects in your report.

It is possible that your hard drive has failed, have you tried running the recovery still partition disk utility? Start holding command-r and select disk utility and repair the hard drive. If the problem persists try resetting the SMC reset management system (SCM) controller on your Mac - Apple Support

and boot into Safe Mode, try safe mode if your Mac does not commissioning - Apple Support

You don't seem to be indexed (mds) and maybe make a backup as well. NOTHING slows down your Mac. He turns as quickly as possible, a lot of free memory and shows without well-known actors 'bad '.

This leaves "lack of hard drive" as the last always suspect on the list.

  • Very slow Macbook Pro (2012), please help with report EtreCheck

    Hi all

My Macbook runs very slowly, I tried a number of things suggested online but none worked. I recently went to a repair shop and they suggested it could be to do with the dataflex (not sure if this was exactly, but I remember it sounding similar.) They described as a hard drive to another internal component connection, sorry for the inaccuracy.) I have me am replaced, but this did not help either.

I downloaded the software EtreCheck and I was wondering if someone could help me to make light of the report on possible solutions? I have the feeling that it could be the hard drive needs to be replaced, but have no evidence of that. Verification has been run for the problem of "Beachballing" and got the sub report, please let me know if more info would be helpful. I hope it's telling in a way!

    Thank you for the pointers.

    Hello mrdivorce,

It looks like of course as evidence of a hard drive failing for me. Hard drives 2.5 "in the MacBook Pro tend to fail after 2-3 years. Judging by the date on your MacBook, I think that your time is up. Maybe try to find a different repair store. Looking for Service Center authorized Apple (https://locate.apple.com/).

I suggest upgrading to an SSD and increasing your RAM too. Then you have the hardware to run the last OS X 10.11.

  • report etrecheck

It is the first time that I submitted a report to etrecheck. If there is no additional info which I will be happy to provide it. The main reason I present this is because my computer has recently become very lag... both in the sense of the programs that are running and loading on Chrome (browser default) Web sites. The only program that I can remember facility recently, besides EtreCheck is RemoteMouse. Help to decipher this report would be appreciated.

    April 27, 2016, 14:41:17 test - passed

It would help a lot to know why you submit a snapshot of the system. Problems running software? The Mac runs much more slowly than you expect? But to start with what you have, there are a lot of junk mail running on your system.

For most, that's why you have not just one, but two packs of running remote access software. Remove all traces of Teamviewer and LogMeIn.

All Google applications are known to the resource hogs, and it shows. Chrome Helper alone is devouring a gig of your 4 GB RAM System. I strongly suggest to remove whatever it is Google. This would include the browser Chrome and Google Earth. If Safari is not a browser that treat you user Firefox instead.

  • El Capitan 10.11.3 walking very, very slowly. See report EtreCheck...

El Capitan 10.11.3 running very slow.

A suggestion of the community, I downloaded EntreCheck software to check everything. Here is the report. I hope someone can take out its contents and tell me how to fix?

    Thank you, Steve

  • Snail-like macbook pro help (report EtreCheck)

For the last few days my macbook pro mid 2012 OS X Mavericks 10.9.5, acted like a snail.  There is nearly constant beach-ball, several minutes to launch any application, jumping and stalling while watching movies via iTunes (both when you are connected to the internet and the internet connection is off) making it impossible to watch and programs messages no longer.  I uninstalled most of third-party programs such as DivX and Adobe Creative Cloud.  I deleted what I could to free the memory.  I ran diagnostics with command D while booting.  It has not detected any problem.  I spent most of the day to make suggestions for troubleshooting this support forum and others and it's still a snail.  Help, please!  Here's my EtreCheck spreadsheet.

Uninstall CleanMyMac2. It's a scam. It is dangerous because it can erase parts of your operating system and your Mac out of use. It may also cause corruption of the disk directory, leading to data loss.

Once you get rid of CleanMyMac2, rerun the report EtreCheck. When you post the next report please publish the entire report instead of just part of it. With the small part that you posted this time most of the most important parts were missing.

    The report states:

    Macintosh HD (disk0s2) /: 999,35 go-go (775,69 free) - 111 errors

    Drive failure!

This means that your HD needs to be replaced. Your report also indicates that you do not have a Time Machine backup, before you do ANYTHING backup computer while you can still use an external HD. You can use Time Machine ( use Time Machine to back up or restore your Mac - Apple Support ) or you can use an application such as Carbon Copy Cloner or SuperDuper to create a bootable clone.

You have installed CleanMyMac3 which is considered to be Malware! After backing up your computer, contact the developers of CMM and ask for instructions on how to uninstall the App. Follow the instructions to the letter and uninstall applications. Then run an another report EtreCheck and carefully read any supporting the MWC.

Your report indicates you have installed adware. After you've had the HD replaced (no you should not do it yourself), restore your backup and then follow the instructions to stop advertising windows pop-up and adware in Safari - Apple Support to remove the adware you have installed.

In short, your computer is a mess.

Go forward, NEVER install antivirus or cleaning apps or utilities maintenance party. At are not necessarily the best, and at worst can create a mess of your system. If you follow these simple rules, your system must be running reliable for years:

  • Problem with com.apple.csrutil.report.plist start Daemon

What is it and should I be worried?

    Hello todivefor,

I thank first, by clicking on the "Click for details" link. Few people ever do and I never understood why. Unfortunately, EtreCheck reports just what he finds. Apple says rarely someone what do these internal codes. In this case, "click for details" did not reveal much.

Is there a specific problem that caused you to start EtreCheck? Any individual in EtreCheck maybe line not a lot of sense. But, taken together, all the lines can tell a story. I suggest to always display the full report EtreCheck. Each section has the value.

  • Help with horror? El Capitan Mac

Hello, I have major issues with horror.  It interferes with almost all of the process: navigation (Firefox or Chrome), MS Office, Adobe Pro, Finder...  I ran a report EtreCheck (see below) and the major problem seems to be Firefox.  I was wondering if someone could take a look at this and make other suggestions.

    Thank you!

First uninstall Sophos. Anti virus apps are not necessary and may cause problems. Remove the bittorrent as well. It can be a source od malware.

  • Mac problem and slow reel - 10.11.3

Just after the last update, I've done two or three days before, to 10.11.3. on my MBP, early 2011, I have problems with slow Mac, every click and type are followed by 10 to 20 sec, sometimes more, to wait than roulette to finish the "beachballing. Let alone having more applications running - I need to do to the work I'm doing at the moment.

I did a repair disk utility, it fixed a problem of partitioning and improved for an hour or two, but the problem came back.

Also had OnyX check the disk start to set permissions etc. - who also helped but for a little while.

During or after the upgrade began the FileVault encryption (it gets paused if not plugged in power) and it is not yet finished. It's the only thing that happened at the time that I can associate this slowdown of the problem; Although I can't tell if it is related or the origin of the problem.

I wanted to make a Time Machine backup, but knowing there ages and could be confused with this question, I did not yet.

I can hardly use the computer and just hope I can see the answers here. I was surprised that I managed to type a message here. I will try to install EtreCheck, hope it will work and send a report here.

    Thank you in advance!

Yes, post your report EtreCheck a step to help us hopefully will fix the bewitching of your computer problem.  Before you do it well, you have antivirus programs (AVG, Avira, Avast, Intego, Kaspersky, McAfee, Norton, Sophos, Trusteer, etc) or 'maintenance' apps (AVG Cleaner, CCleaner, CleanMyMac, CleanMyDrive, MacCleaner, MacKeeper, Memory Cleaner, TuneMyMac, etc.) installed?

  • MacBook air crashes after the release of sleep since the upgrade of the sierra

Began to notice that since I upgraded my macbook air 2015 to sierra, system crashes. The trigger is always when I wake the sleep system (whether it is by opening cover or press a key). Issue is intermittent and may not be reproduced every time. I contacted apple support and they recommended resetting the SMC (ctrl + shift + cmd) but that didn't help either. I also did a check of filesystem (fsck-fy) and which seems to be very well so.

I noticed others seem to be faced with similar problems and a common theme that I noticed was that both we seem to have an installed tardisk. Not sure if this could be a factor?

While it is not any loss of data, the question is certainly annoying and disruptive to work.

The same question was observed at about 7 times since the update of the sierra. Containing the report of Etrecheck to the breast
