  • Webcam HP Pavilion DV6 has stopped working, it worked before, the message says webcam not started.

The pre installed webcam works perfectly, but somehow, it works now so I;  I have re-insatalled Cyberlink software, but the webcam is not listed in devoce Manager, I get a message saying that the webcam is not started or is not found.  CyberLink Youcam software opens well, but the camera seems not to turn on. Is there a switch for the webcam harware? As there is a work around and turn off the WiFi? Perhaps a system configuration that controls what devices at boot time startup. It's as if the unit is just off, not activated, the close the lens light now, it used to.

Your help will be very appreciated.  How can I activate my WebCam HP pre-installed?

    TIA

It comes to my HP Pavilion dv6and the problem of my WebCam suddenly stopping.  I have posted two previous requests for assistance, does NOT see much in the way of answers.

If I had held my breath waiting for some help or answers to this place - I'd be dead now days.  I tried everything I could think of; reinstalled the software, drivers.  But the error message was always the same saying that "the webcam was NOT turned on."  Back, through some other posts, that I could see that others have also had the same problem and all the guys from HP that mentions his HP job; has said was to reistall the software, or choose the webcam in the CyberLink WebCam software. but this option is still grayed out.

So I just bit the bullet, because I had to do in the past.  I took off the inside of the plastic frame for the screen at the top and sides.  I had to unscrew two screws at the bottom of the screen frame to the hinges, under self-adhesive pads oval plastic/rubber.  In the Center, you can see the small Assembly of camera and microphone, with white wires, it will.  At that time, I had to put on a second pair of reading glasses, because the parts are so small.  I finally found a tiny multi wired plug-and - taken right of camera lens Center.  I loosened and then pushed with a small bamboo skewer.  When I buttoned up things up; and restarted the CyberLink WebCam driver program came to light on near the lens and the camera showed a live video image which aimed directly at me.  This plastic frame is very fragile and the two small screws will immediately far jump on the floor that you haven't cleaned vacuuming lately.  Has disappeared!

I must say that I have had absolutely NO help from anyone at HP, I is uncomfortable taking my laptop apart to fix a poorly designed plug/plug obvious for the WebCam.  I like really this computer basically, perfect Beats Audio work for my deafness, I get more and more clear than any other volume laptop that I have tried over the past 20 years.

I added Ram 16GBs of memory, but I have not noticed that much improvement, maybe when I make more digital video, CAD/CAM and photographics.

I hope HP can get the image into the connector on the WebCam release and let us know how to fix it with a technology tech or something.  I tried searching and was NOT able to find the answers for my laptop either, I had the chance-out to allow him to run again, I hope you can get yours working again too.

    See you soon,.

  • HP pavilion dv6: HP Pavilion dv6 has stopped working

    Hello

I have a HP pavilion dv6 i7 - 4 GB RAM model, I bought in 2011. The laptop worked fine until yesterday. But a sudden power cut has caused its judgment as the back of the battery is close to zero. But later when I tried to load and restart, the laptop simply did not. I can see the charge works very well, but none of the lights (power, caps lock, etc.) are on.  Even after using the old method of draining any static battery in the laptop (by pressing Start button / stop for nearly 30 secondds), the portable computer simly does not start. There is no visible boot, that nothing displayed on screen as the laptop itself is not able to start.  I tried to reset the RAM by removing and re - install in accordance with the procedure prescribed by HP. But, still no effect.

(There is no previous repair/replacement in my laptop. Thus, all parts are those which are authentic HP)

The situation is completely distraught for me because nothing is displayed on the screen. I have no idea if the laptop is under tension, or not. Although I tried restarting without battery. The results were the same.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Hi @Durvank_Yewle,

Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A place where you can find solutions for your problems, with the help of the community!

I stumbled upon your post on the laptop and wanted to help you! I looked in your question about your HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook and laptop does not turn on. Try perform a reset.  There are many tips here.

When you perform a hard reset note remove all USB devices. Disconnect all non-essential devices.

Plug the adapter into a different wall outlet. Do not connect it a power strip, surge arrester, or secondary power source as this could cause and issue.

Here is a link to computer does not start for Windows.

Here's a video that might help. It shows you how to reinstall the HARD drive, which is sometimes useful.

Please let me know how it goes.

    Thank you.

  • speakers stopped working in HP Pavilion Desktop PC

My speakers stopped working in my HP Pavilion Desktop PC. The computer says that they work, but there is no sound and the speakers are not muted. Can someone help me?

Based on what you describe, you could try going into Device Manager and uninstall the audio drivers and then restart, but if this does not work, chances are that at work, there is a possible hardware problem. Which, given that it is a chip that is soldered to the motherboard, involving probably would involve having the unit in a repair center.

  • Speakers stopped working after changing the device sound card

    * Original title: switched to hi-speed of dial-up, speakers stopped working / / rev. #2 Can I change the title of: speakers stopped working after changing the device sound card

I have a Motorola SM56 speakerphone modem, I went from dial-up to the Road Runner.   When I open Device Manager and expand the sound column it lists "High definition Audio Device" (manufacturer of Microsoft), there are 4 that say "NVIDIA High Definition Audio" then there is one that says "Unimodem Half-Duplex Audio Device.  When I open the properties of the Unimodem device it says ' device working properly. "

Let me start at the top under "General".  It lists the name of the device: Unimodem half-duplex Audio device.    Device type: audio, video and game controllers;    Manufacturer: Microsoft;    Location: Motorola SM56 Speakerphone modem.

My speakers worked very well before I went.   I tried updating the driver but he came back with "best driver already installed.  It is a desktop PC, it is about 6 years old, but has been revised, graphics card new, updated to power, new 4 GB ram I think.  The hard drive is 1 TB.   I'm running Windows 7 Pro.  I forgot to mention, if I open a WMV file and volume in the taskbar commands, I see the green light moving.  The green light on the actual speakers turned on, just no sound.  It seems to me that the old speakers do not like the new modem from Time Warner. (I'm an old lady, what the devil I know)

It is a question of another driver, or is it something else?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are plug you the speakers into the modem?

They must be connected in making your computer speaker, usually a light green color (read the manual of the machine). Go to control panel / sounds / playback and make sure that the type of speakers you selected as the default device.
Audio device drivers updated its better to not use MS Update (it is not). Re-post giving your machine make name and exact model number (for example HP, Inspiron, ABC1234 etc.).
    See you soon,.

  • Audio problem with WIndows 8 OS of the beats on the Pavilion DV6-6109tx

Hello! First of all, my apologies if I posted in the wrong section or the bad, hp support forum do not know where to post.

Now, coming to the point, encircled sliders Beats Audio Control Panel do not work as shown in the attached snapshot, makes no difference at all.

Since I couldn't find Windows 8 drivers for my laptop model (very strange since I saw older models, getting divers to windows 8, but not my model), I tried different drivers but none of them work.
These are audio driver packages I've tried:
    sp58226.exe

    sp59154.exe
    sp59861.exe

Without these parameters of non-working is terrible.

So if anyone can help me, I'll be really grateful.

    Thank you.

Just to note, it does not appear that this unit has been certified for Windows 8.

This site gives an idea of what to expect during the upgrade to Windows 8.

The only step I can recommend at this stage is to install the driver of Windows 7 BEATS being related to the driver software audio compatibility mode.

    1. Download this driver.

    2. run the download when it's over. Follow the instructions and you should get a screen that asks you where to save the files. The default value must be c:\swsetup\sp55094. Take note of the destination on the screen. Click next and must complete the extraction process.

    3. after extraction, it opens a new window for installation. Cancel this window.
Navigate to the folder of extraction.

    4. in this folder, find the real Installer. This is usually setup.exe. Right click on this file and select troubleshoot compatibility.

    5. follow the resolution of compatibility issues by selecting automatic options.

    6. one of the Setup screens will be a button for test program. Click here to begin the installation.

    7. Once completed, it must be installed in compatibility mode.

This will give the best chance of success. If it does not, then it's a deeper problem of compatibility as Windows 8 driver architecture is different from Windows 7.

    Hello

Question 1: What Windows system do you use?

Question 2: Do you connect the headphones to the laptop to check if its would be available using headphones?
    Please do!
If the sound be available through headphones, then the audio driver is OK and in this case, it might be possible that your speakers are defective.

Also, check if the sound is not muted.
Go to-> sound control panel and check the reading tab
Here, the speakers should be set as default device.

  • 500-154ea Pavilion: Beats Audio for Pavilion 500-154ea software download

    Hello.

I just had a new hard drive mounted as he failed a few months warranty on this desktop computer.

The tech guy did a decent job of replacing the drive and re-loading 8.1 of Windows and other software of database back on and I have topped up all our files OK... but the Beats Audio software is missing. Mine was the guy with the graphic equalizer and configuration 7.1 etc so you can balance the speakers and void / etc.

The sound works, but he obviously used a pilot of its channel low spec 2 generic no more volume set.

I see not the software beats download on my desktop model-specific HP page and I was wondering if there was a generic download I could use?

Also, I have seen on this forum links to other desktops download beats, but assumed that it might be the specific model?

    Any advice or links appreciated.

    Hello

    Try the following.

As before, uninstall the current IDT HD audio software since its entry into programs and features and then reboot the PC.

Then download the software package following IDT HD and Save in your downloads folder.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp58501-59000/sp58818.exe

Then, if you do not have an extraction utility installed, download and install the Installer x 64 64-bit .msi for 7 - Zip at the link below.

    http://www.7-zip.org/

One when you're done, open your downloads folder, right-click on the setup of the IDT HD software, select 7 - Zip, select extract files and then click Ok.  Open the newly extracted folder ( sp58818 ), open src, navigate to setup.exe (size 368ko), right click and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.

If this is successful, restart the PC.

    No sign of "beats".

    Kind regards

  • HP Envy J049TX: Beats Audio Control Panel is not start/work

My Beats Audio Control Panel does not work. When I Open Beats Audio, a dialog box appears indicating that

"IDT Audio from PC has stopped working"

I have recently upgraded to Windows 8.1 and the only problem I found was that the Beats Audio Control Panel does not work.

I also tried to uninstall drivers and reinstall it from the hp website, find my model number and appropriate IDT Audio driver software, but this does not work too.
Already when I got windows 8, beats audio has worked, but as soon as I upgraded to this 8.1, this error.

    Hi @MegaArm ,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

This is a fantastic place to find answers and suggestions!

You have the best experience in the HP forum, I would like to draw your attention to the Guide of the HP Forums Learn how Post and more

I understand that your audio Beats worked very well until you upgraded to 8.1 Windows now, you get a dialog box indicating the "'IDT Audio of PC has stopped working". "

You have tried to uninstall and reinstall the driver now prevail.

If you go to Device Manager, what is the error on the audio device?

Have you impossible to uninstall the driver or unable to reinstall the driver on the HP website.

If you access the Device Manager can you right click on the audio and update the driver from here or do a driver roll back.

Then, I'll try to do a HP PC - refresh your PC to solve problems (Windows 8) .

The question must always be, if a recovery to factory.

HP computers - performing a recovery of HP (Windows 8) system

During recovery, you will receive an option to backup your personal files to avoid data loss. If you have not already done one, I suggest do you it now.

HP computers - restore files that have been supported to the top using HP Recovery Manager (Windows 8)

Once you have completed this process do all your Windows updates.

Now run the HP Support Assistant to acquire the HP updates.

Here is a link to the Computers HP - update of Windows 8 to 8.1 as a guide to redo the Windows 8.1 update.
