  I have a hp model pavilion dv7t-7000 with a (version F.29) Insyde bios that retains a beep on startup until the bios Setup menu appears.  This started in the last three months and went from occasional incidents to a constant.  Someone else has a similar problem, and if so, what can I do to fix this.

  I bought a computer format used DX2300 microtour. It worked wonderfully to home sellers. We have removed the son/cables and I took it home. When I reassembled everything I have no action on the (dual) monitors, no lghts on the wireless mouse or keyboard. The CPU is a single long beep on startup.   Enter the BIOS (F10 at startup of the tap) and verify that the HARD disk and the memory is correctly recognized.

  You can try reinstalling the RAM.

  Remove the ram and then reinsert it.

  Also do a hard reset.
  Turn off the computer.
  Remove the power cable and battery.
  Hold down the power button for 15 sec while booth energy sources are deleted.

  This should reset the hardware in the computer.

  That you put it on press the F10 key. This will load the BIOS setup utility.
  Press F9 to load the default values.
  Press F10 to save and exit.

  Well, I gave up trying to solve the MB. Instead, I just bought a new MB of Ebay, it costs $72 but was worth it. I installed the MB easily and it starts right up normally with just 1 quick beep, BIOS opens and everything works except that I had to order a new Acer E-recovery disk to reinstall Windows 7 but it's worth the $19 to have the original software from Acer for this particular PC. I always tell people to keep the system disks because you always in the future need, but most of the people who bring in it PC always loses, lol.
