Beginner problem - monitor Source plays audio but no video

Hope someone can help me with this. I use CS4 for a little over a year with few problems.  The last time that I used something messed up because now any video can I import into body, when I play the video in audio playback Souurce monitor but the screen stays black and when I play the video in the monitor of the program, it's like looking through a colorful film.  I have another computer next to me with the agency that plays the same files very well.  I checked all the settings I can think to pair with the functional computer and can not see any differences.

Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Here is the problem machine.

This is what looks like the right machine - then there is nothing wrong with the video file:

Welcome to the forum.

That-screenshots looks like a video driver issue. It probably wasn't something you did, at least not directly. A lot of things that can make an outdated video driver are in the background, like a simple OS, or hot - fix update. It allows to these, and usually good as they should. However, PrPro if interface with the video driver, more than most of the programs, and if everything is not 100%, problems can occur. Other programs do not have this close an interface and never have any problems or complain.

Take a look at this THREAD, because there are a lot of similar questions in the different links.

I would go first to the mfgr of the video card. Web site and download and install the latest driver. Be sure to read the installation instructions, such as those that can change from pilot to pilot. Usually, it is just a simple executable file, but in some cases, the user must do some things first - just check this version.

Good luck

    Hi John,.

    ·         Since when are you facing this problem?

    ·         You did changes to the player before the show?

    ·         This happens with any specific video?

Step 1: Try reducing video hardware acceleration in Windows Media Player.

    a. in Windows Media Player, on the Tools menu, click Options.

    b. on the performance , under video Accelerationtab, move the slider more close votes to zero, and then click OK.

If this allows you to play videos very well, this indicates that there is a problem with your graphics card or driver.

Step 2: You can get an updated driver from the manufacturer of the display adapter.

    Hello

    1. what operating system is installed on the computer?
    2. are you able to play videos other than video .wmv successfully?
    3. don't you make changes to the computer before the show?

I suggest you to check if the hardware acceleration of the display device setting is too high.
    a. Click Start, click Run, type desk.cpl and then click OK.

    b. click on the settings tab and then click Advanced.

    c. click the Troubleshooting tab, and then move the hardware acceleration to none.

    d. click on apply and then click OK twice.

    e. If the problem is resolved after you move the slider hardware acceleration to none, contact the manufacturer of the graphics adapter driver to determine if there is an update that resolves this specific problem.

    Method 2
The required codec is missing or damaged. If the problem occurs when you use a .wmv file, download or reinstall the latest version of Windows Media Player. If you use an earlier version of Windows Media Player, upgrade to the current version of Windows Media Player for your operating system.

It is not that there is a problem in Windows 7, it is more likely that you don't have just the installed CODEC the video file is saved with.  You will need to find a source, download and install any CODEC no MS yourself. You can use GSpot to identify CODECs used in AVI files. An alternative to downloading of many individual CODECs is to install FFDSHOW instead. Some media players like VLC and Media Player Classic also have internal CODECS and support for a wide variety of video and audio file types.

  • Audio but no video using airplay

Both my Apple TV do not allow any airplay broadcast correctly. I get audio but no video. I reset the units that I restored the TVs I have change the HDMI cords and I reset the modem and the router.  It gets really frustrating

Web sites and third-party applications must allow before they will allow content base video AirPlay. Some site Web/App developers have failed their products, some have just had him yet, others have stated that they are enabling AirPlay (probably due to licensing issues).

Mirroring does not need activation and will work by default, however, some developers have chosen to block AirPlay mirroring working with their applications.

    Hi newbewon1

    1. you try to play a WMV file?
    2. what operating system is installed on the computer?

I suggest you to check and to provide us with the information about the installed operating system.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/help/which-version-of-the-Windows-operating-system-am-i-running

For resolution, please refer to the procedure below and identify what codec was used to compress the file. You must install the codec even on the computer to read the file. There is no absolute way to do that, but here are your best options:

    ·          To determine what codec was used with a specific file, play the file in the player, if possible. When the file is playing, right-click the file in the library, and then click Properties. On the file tab, look at the Audio codec and Video codec sections.

    ·          Use a non-Microsoft codec identification tool. Many are available on the Internet.

So you can check if the installation using the correct codec solve you the problem. You can use your favorite search engine to download and install the codec. Refer to the below help links -.

  • Flash 11.2.202.235 audio but no video playing in IE9

The PC in question is under IE 9.0.8112.16421

    Windows 7 64 bit

I installed (and reinstalled) the last flash 11.2.202.235 drive nothing works.

    I have disabled hardware acceleration

I installed the latest drivers from the manufacturer graphics card.

When I try to play a video on sites like youtube, the player indicates the initial frame, but then shows that the bottom (as if the player were not there at all), and plays audio only.  If I move the screen up and down (using the scroll wheel) on several occasions, the player is updated and displays an image of the video, then it goes back to the background color.

I tested in Firefox and Chrome and the player seems to work in these browsers very well, so it's some kind of conflict with flash 11.2 and ie9

Currently, I have three machines who are facing this problem, but this number seems to increase.  It was the week last only two.

Do you see the same behavior both of these videos in Internet Explorer?

  • Export the problem, Audio, but no video!

    Hello

I have a lot of trouble to export my last video on first cs6.

Im a long time user of FCPX and traded just at adobe, so I'm a bit useless with this new program.

    My sequence setting are:

    Editing mode: Custom

Time Base: 59,94 frames per second

    Image size: 1920-1080

    Video highlights:

    file format: AVI microsoft

    Codec GoPro CineFi = orm codec (x 64) v9.1.1

The film is mainly images of GoPro Hero 4 Silver.

I tried so many different export options.

Export to 'fit the setting of the sequence' produced a video that has audio, but no picture.

Export to the h.264 format does not allow me to increase the rate of 30 frames per second to the original and give the error message "Invalid framesize/framerate for this level. Please reduce the bounds parameter video or frame rate, or increase the profile and level and try again "."

Export to quicktime is the only one so far who has produced, photo and audio, but the quality is far below what it should be... and yes I have made maximum use of verified quality.

Any help would be thank you very much!

Do not use match sequence settings which means that it uses the codec to preview.

    This is the cineform codec.

Don't think that you can export to cineform with cs6, unless you have installed the codec.

What is the final destination of your movie going to be?

If its Youtube, choose a preset that lies under h., 264 format in the export settings.

[QUOTE] ' Invalid framesize/framerate for this level. Please reduce the bounds parameter video or frame rate, or increase the profile and level and try again "." [QUOTE]

Do what is said to increase the profile (5.1/5.2) and higher (high) level of framerate.

Maybe these movies support another format or standard.
As far as I know the audio and video formats supported are:

Audio files: MP3, WMA, WAV, AAC, OGG, FLAC, LPCM Dolby Digital, DTS Digital

    Video: MPEG1 (DAT, MPG), MPEG2 (VOB, MPG, TS/M2TS/TP TRP), MPEG4 (AVI, MP4, MKV), VC-1 (WMV), H.264 (AVI, MKV, MOV, MP4), RM/RMVB (RM/RMVB)

    I have Windows 7 and 64-bit.

I use the 10.3.181.34 version.  According to http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ I have a flash installed successfully.  Yes, I see the image.

I use Firefox 5.  Shockwave Flash 10.3.181.34 is enabled.

I have no idea what to do. Help.

As soon as I read 'green' in any position, the first thing that comes to mind is to disable hardware acceleration.  Right-click on the Flash Player test page and select settings.  Then on the display panel uncheck "enable hardware acceleration".
