• Weird behavior of Safari Dock icon

  For several months now, I noticed a weird behavior of the Safari icon on the dock.

  Note: I have the Safari Dock permanently icon in the dock if the application is running or not for quick access.

  With open Safari, after periods of inactivity or after the awakening of the mode standby, the icon will lose the small black dot on the bottom that indicates an active application.

  By clicking on the icon or a .webloc file reveals that Safari is still active, but because the icon does not animate as it does when it is launched.

  How can I fix and when Safari * is * open its Dock icon indicates that it * all the time *?

  All too often, after similar as scenarios above, Safari actually leave - all on its own.

  3 remove the test and com.apple.Safari.plist file.

  Empty the trash.

  Quit all applications.

  Hold down the option key and click on the "Go" menu in the Finder menu bar.

  Select 'Library' in the menu dropdown.

  Library > Preferences > com.apple.Safari.plist

  Right-click on it and select "place it in the trash.

  Close the Finder window.

  Turn it back on.    Restart Safari.

  If this does not help, "put back" the com.apple.Safari.plist

  Right click on the trash icon in the Dock, then select 'open '.

  Right-click on the com.apple.Safari.plist and select 'Put Back'.

  Yesterday, I posted a discussion where it was trashed safari on my system.  Whenever I called safari, I got a message saying "ios crash warning."  Safari did not work.  I was able to access the sites that I should happen to use chrome.

  My wife enter the error message I was getting in google and you have the suggestion to start safari while holding the SHIFT key.  I did, and safari is now functional.  I send this message using safari.

  Does anyone know how it worked?  What happens when you call safari while shift?

  I think that I had to hold the SHIFT key only once.  Safari following calls have been made normally.

  This command causes Safari does not reopen the tabs and windows of the previous session.

• "Weird problem: cannot write the letter'm ' in Safari with active Javascript

  Hello. Starting with the last system update (for what I can tell), I get this weird behavior in Safari and safari ONLY: I can not enter the letter'm ' in any text field (for example, search google, bing search engine, google docs, search apple support). However, I can write perfectly well the letter'm ' in the address bar, as well as in other browsers (Opera, Firefox) in the exact same conditions. The only way I can get Safari to recognize'm ' is to disable JavaScript. However, I don't see any JavaScript code that can block the keyboard or the part of it. With the help of a U.S. keyboard.

• Stop videos of auto-jouer on web sites like CNN

  While browsing CNN videos (down) load & play automatically wasting my bandwidth and especially my time.  Is there an effective way to block this type of behavior with Safari 9.1.2 on my MBP of end of 2008?  I installed AdBlock and AdBlock Ultimate with no apparent effect.

  CNN uses several different video players in their inline code, and so far I was not able to gag them. This is nonsense on the server side and the browser may have no control over what CNN grows with us. A surefire way to stop the imposed videos is to find another site with informative reports news, responsible and unbiased. I have used CNN for a very long while, and the content of the web site has finally I pushed further.

• Safari came out abnormally: Bus error running under El Capitan

  Processor 1.6 GHz PowerPC G5 machine

  El Capitan of OS X 10.5.8

  Could not launch Safari, get the following message: ".com.apple.Safari [371]) came out abnormally: Bus error."

  Time Machine has never been setup (so I can't restore from time machine).

  Tried to re - install the OS X El Capitan: reboot 'Command & R' key does not work (just restart the computer as usual). Using the key Options on the re-start appear three icons in the middle is the OS X disk icon (by clicking on it or by double-clicking on it doesn't do a thing), below left is an icon reload (a semicircle arrow, re-load OS X a drive icon), below right a right arrow pointing to the right (this brings back you to the normal running user mode screen). Cannot get any menu to launch the reload of the OS X.

  No idea what I'm doing wrong?

  The El Capitan OS X can be loaded on a Flash DRIVE or a DVD from another machine and then loaded on the computer problem?

  Wait, 10.5.8 is not El Capitan, 10.5.8 Leopard & the hifgest that you can run on a G5.

  Usually the PPC Macs as G5s cannot start OSX USB, although there may be a work around Open Firmware.

  CMD + r only works in 10.7 & upwards.

• Abnormal behavior observed in real-time executable.

  I have an interesting problem. I have developed an embedded application of Real-time/FPGA for cRIO 9024 and come across a problem that I don't understand. I work FPGA and RT of top-level and subVIs, proven individually and together when it is run interactively. When I create and deploy an executable in real-time like start, however, the behavior changes. I posted the code below, which I'll explain briefly:

  I have a state machine with 5 States architecture. "Initialize" and "Shut Down" are exactly meet once whenever the device is reset, and the cycle between them is wait > pre-test > wait > run the Test and repeat as many times as desired. Measures are taken by FPGA and past in real-time by DMA FIFO and are then recorded to the TDMS file by the real time. Everything else is just interface.

  The problem comes from the first time, the program enters the Test case to run. The FPGA send measurements as usual, and they are stored in a growing table updated buffering in the fixed-point shift register shown below.

  

  Run interactively, this method successfully bed, buffers, sorts and writes all data in the file. However, in time real executable, only the data collected in the first round (147 items total, as it is initialized by the whole shift register) are saved, the rest seems remainsin a buffer? before calling the following function TDMS write, is that in the case before the next test.

  I'm unable to debug the executable file in real time, probably because of the FPGA reference or some other schema components. I tried to replace the pad with a FIFO in real-time, a variable shared with RT FIFO active and tried to write inside the loop. The FIFO are not improving the situation, and when writing inside the loop, the loop does not run quite fast to stand.

  The problem does not exist when I run the VI interactively from my computer, only when I try to deploy all of the embedded, any application that works (as far as I know) except this one place.

  Any ideas to solve, or workarounds?

  Technical support helped me to resolve the problem, the early termination of loop caused loop condition, although I still don't understand why the behavior was different as an executable file, because the condition of the loop has worked in interactive mode, so if someone has any ideas as to the why, I would still like to know.

• How to block a visitor with an abnormal behavior (visit 50 times / day a website)?

  I have developed a website with Adobe Muse. My site is hosted by Business Catalyst. The site contains resources for most of the links to other sites. I don't keep any information about my visitors, there is no registration. I don't have a forum or a blog, just a contact form with Captcha of BC (the most difficult to read).

  A visitor from Germany, always in the same city, is coming on a regular basis on my site. It looks like every half hour, day and night. The number of visits is equal to the number of page views.

  The Adobe help/support line has no answer to this topic. I'm not a web designer, I do not use HTML programming, just of Muse. I would like to put an end to this problem is to change my Web site analytics. I use the geographic location of visitors to find sponsors because it is a not-for-profit project.

  No idea what's going on? How to fix?

  There is no 'normal' behavior on the internet, you can not open your door to anyone then start screening that is visiting, there are bots, search engines, index services, proxies (all two legitimate and malice in intent) and any number of other things out there invented all day, these changes from day to day then you will need to take all your stats with a grain of salt, because they are never 100% reliable.

• Safari & CSS rollover behavior problem

  I have a navigation bar with working capital and active CSS (CSS3 including easing) settings that are not appear in Safari.  I suspect it has to do with the id selectors, but havn't been able to determine who is at the origin of the problem.  It works great in IE9 and FF4 and degrades well in IE8.  But for a reason, even the simple color attribute does not have the button in Safari.

  First, let's look at this piece of CSS:

  The first problem is that the transition is set when the transition occurs.  For all the webkit examples I could find, you must set the transition before the action.  So we will reduce these lines.  I also deleted some lines because they were identical to what has been defined in the normal state and they were so duplicate.

• SYSDATE wierdly abnormal behavior...

  TRUNC (dt, 'DAY') returns at the beginning of the week that contains the dt. If dt is in early January, then the week could have started at the end of December of the previous year, so you can't say TO_CHAR (dt, 'YYYY').

  2. after the backup finishes, the automatic backup for the control and spfile is taken on SBT_TAPE instead of DISK - why?

  1. well, this $CURRENT_DATETIME is variable shell, RMAN does not interpret it (she can't and doesn't have to.) HOST calls the external commands by spawning the shell in non-interactive mode and when placing the order for her, and since you have exported the variable is available to all processes having engineered and develop properly, then files are copied in the expected location.   Note the * & 1 * variable substitution in the RMAN script and * using * keyword in the RMAN command line.

  2. control file record is taken to the same media, that the last backup, this is normal. You can't "CONFIGURE CONTROLFILE AUTOBACKUP ON the DISC" or something like that, you can only enable or disable it and specify format for various types of devices. Default device type does not play here, you are precisely the configured default device type substitution tape backup.

• How to choose a vcard for use in the automatic filling of Safari?

  Recently, I cleaned my Contacts Apple and remove duplicates of myself. Apparently I deleted the one designated as my user vcard so even if I have one with all my contact information, I can't fill it with Safari (the little blue guy to the right of the fields on form in the Sierra of the BONE), to fill anything for me more. Anyone know how to restore this behavior?

  In Contacts, select the card you want to use like me, and then select make this card my card in the card menu.

  Also further, you can edit the information used by Safari in Preferences > AutoFill.

• Safari 10 not not automatically opening PDF files

  Yes, I have the box checked in the preferences to automatically open reliable files after downloading. I have tried many different websites PDF files now, and none of them does not open automatically.

  I tried to delete the preferences of Safari, but that did not help.

  For security reasons, I don't have Safari 10: preferences: general Panel: Open Safe files after downloading verified. It has nothing to do with the opening of PDF documents in the browser, as it is the function of the OS X Internet plugin default to this end, or the option in Adobe Acrobat Reader PDF plug-in.

  Plug-in Adobe Reader is disabled by default in the 10 Safari: preferences: Security Panel: Internet Plug-ins. You will need to activate it via the plugin settings - if you use it, but with a WARNING WARNING like Safari 10 notes that there are security issues that you can, or perhaps are not willing to accept.

  With Adobe Reader Plug - in disabled Internet, 10 Safari automatically opens a PDF Web site in the browser. There are no preferences special setting to enable this default behavior.
