  What version of XP are you using? If you use professional or higher, you can use gpedit.msc to deactivate access to view, however you will lose access to it in all accounts except if you select a second time to make changes.

  Your administor account using:

  -Click on Start
     -Click on Run
  -Type gpedit.msc
     - -Click OK

  Group Policy Editor opens

  In the left pane, click User Configuration .
  From the right pane double-click Administrative Templates, double-click Control Panel

  - , Double-click Hide specified control panel applets
     -Select the radio Enable button
  -In the window below and click Show , and the POPs Show content
  -Click Add on the right and Add a window
  - Display type, and then click OK
     -Click OK again
  -Close the Group Policy Editor

  Display is now disabled. However, remember to turn off your policy when you change your display properties, and then turn on again in the Group Policy Editor.

  I'm trying to get two Boolean buttons to reset when the value of a ring menu.  For this I use a structure of event defined to execute with a ring value change.  However I have another code that should be run while the structure of the event expected to change value.  I place my structure of the event inside the while loop buttons reset as expected but my other code is not run (except when the value of change). If I place it outside the loop the rest of functions code as expected, but the buttons do not reset.  Any help you offer is much appreciated.

  I have created 8 control buttons and creates same reminder for all buttons. Have a multitude of 2 x 4 initialized with the value 1. When the user clicks a button value of 2 x 4 table must go to 0 (as the command button does not change the value 1 when selected). In order to complete the picture, I thought to use the CVICALLBACK control.

  The value corresponding to the ID of the control may change if you add or remove controls or if you change the tab order. Once I learned this, I stopped using it, so I can't be sure that these are the only conditions when this happens. In my opinion they are enough to avoid using the digital ID values at all.

  The 4 x 4 case derives from your code: you calculate 4 rows each of 4 elements. I tried to follow this approach in my switch statement, but you really have to adapt it to your situation and the structure of the IUR.

  When designing my UIR for a new project, I realized that when I use the function "change the controls' to change the attributes of several controls at once, the tab order changes.

  I noticed that, because the constants of the UIR are essential for my application and they are changed automatically in the header file according to the tab order.

  If I change the attributes one by one, then the tab order is preserved.

  Is it really a bug or am I missing a point here?

• How to: using the same control panel for several vi and reproducing change to the control panel.

  I created a labview project that contains about 40 vi.  Each vi has a joint control panel which is a group of ip address, or address of the port and the parameters that are passed high-level vi at low level vi for the purpose of control and access our daq cards.  As this control panel exists in all the vi and must not be the same there is a problem when the need to make a change or update the controls during development.  The problem is how long it takes to go and change the control panel of each single vi.  I wish I had a way of reproducing a change in the Panel of control through all six simultaneously.

  All controls in the control panel are in a bundle, so all values are passed to 1 thread.

  I tried to turn the Panel in a sub vi and this way I can just "create control" and have output parameters maniuplate vi, but if I update the vi, I still have to go back and create a new control for each vi under the control has changed.

  I tried using secondary and the creation of the control panel in a sub vi which is displayed in the secondary, but gives the undesirable consequence of not being able to view or change the settings of the control panel if the program does not work, as pristine as when sub-panels program does not work.

  Is there a another way to display the front panel of a Subvi next using a panel of void?  Is there a better way to propagate changes in a bundle in a series of vi?

  Yes a def type might help you and I would take the next step to make a strict type def if you want the look to be the same on all its bodies. You can also view this nugget on Type definitions for more idea about it.

  I use an architecture of producer/consumer for an application with a structure of the event in the upper loop. Events are triggered by the user from the control panel using Boolean switches that are "change when you press on" and "release switch. My question is how can I manually step through the code using various events? It doesn't matter what I'm still not in the same event.

  You can view the code? Is what event still enter? I did have problems step by step in code that uses a structure of the event. You must be patient, but because the application is slowed down a bit and it can take a while to get into the case of the specific event depending on what events you deal. Usually, I place a breakpoint in the case I am interested and run the application as usual. Once I hit the breakpoint is when I turn on highlighting of execution.

  Yes there is, just create an event filter button on this control of the chain and when a tab is entered you trigger your (re) load event. Or you can set a keyboard shortcut for this field (such as ctrl-D) to define a group of controls to a default state.

  What are the complications that would keep a button 'Load' of work? Maybe things are too complicated and we need to simplify things a bit.

• Event Structure... the mouse down or to the cases of change of value

  I feel, it is a simple problem, but I can't seem to find a solution.

  I have a VI that is supposed to communicate with a stepper motor drive.  I'm working on the Boolean setting keys on the Panel before (acting as of the momentary switches) that will jog the hourly engine or counterclockwise, as long as the button is pressed.  Once the user releases the button, the motor should stop jogging.

  I tried to use the mouse down and value change event.  With the help of the mouse down, for some reason, the time-out occurs almost immediately even while holding the mouse on the button.  This translates into what seems like nothing is happening.  Although the engine receives all orders he has to run, it receives the stop command immediately after.

  Using the value change case, the procedure works and the motor turns, but when you release the button (another change of value), all orders of jog are returned to the engine stop control tracking.  Sometimes the motor continues to run after the shutdown command has been sent, and I think that might be involved because it receives all the shortening of orders (again) and the judgment of control both.

  Is it possible to cnage my case event to run the way I want to what he... Send commands to the button click on... Send different command button.

  I could solve the problem I had.  Previously, I was trying to display the timeout to-1 to a value greater than 0 to launch the timeout on a button release event.  To solve the problem, I just removed all of the code that has been changing the value of timeout and left the default to-1.  I also removed all the code in the case of timeout.  Then, I created a new mouse event that is fired by releasing one of the buttons and copied in the code that used to be in the case of timeout.

  Now, the works of VI exactly as I need to... where an event occurs on a mouse a click of a button and a different event happes when the button is released.

  A very simple solution, however I've only worked in BT for about a week and I have not seen the mouse event when I scroll to the event.

  I do not know what past all I KNOW the app called is not informed of which invokes this past that stage of the initial call, therefore no mechanism is a reminder when the application is closed.

  Obviously if you wrote the video player yourself you could invoke back or set up signs saying closed process.

  Just to be 100% accurate, it is possible for a keyListener (look to the top of the class) to pick up some events even when running in the background.  It can be different events when the device is locked.  Indeed, the events may be different depending on whether the "locked" screen is currently displayed or not. And the entire lot is dependent on operating system level, in other words, the same device running two different levels of OS will possess differently in terms of what keys can detect a listener in the background.

  So if you have a BONE and a specific device, so it might be something you can do, especially if it is an older operating system.  However if you try to create something that works generically, then know that I've tried and failed!.

  You can use PF_UpdateParamUI during the call to render to force AE to refresh the user interface.

  You can also hide/show params at any time using AEGP_SetDynamicStreamFlag and AEGP_DynStreamFlag_HIDDEN.
