Behavior of toolbar button broken in WYSIWYG in the latest version of Firefox desktop
We use a WYSIWYG editor for adding and editing the content of some Web sites that support us. With the latest update of Firefox, toolbar buttons to clean up the contents of the Clipboard as RTF or plain in gray text when the cursor is placed inside the editable text box. This bug is not exposed in any other browser and does not appear in the previous version of Firefox.
---
MORE INFORMATION
- Toolbar buttons do not disappear when the page is loaded; they can still be clicked to clean up the contents of the Clipboard until the cursor is placed inside the editable text box. While this will not break our editing experience if we could be guaranteed that our site editors have always been paste content into the empty text boxes, we cannot make that assumption. Therefore, the ability to place the cursor within the editable region before clicking on the toolbar buttons is essential and the disappearance of the buttons is a bug.
- Listed above, this behavior has been isolated as being only present in the Firefox browser, and only on the latest version of Firefox. Is attached a screenshot of the correct behavior, toolbar buttons disappear not when you click on the area of editable text in Google Chrome.
- When there are several areas of WYSIWYG text on one page, they are the object independently of the other. That is, clicking in grays only editable text one area on the buttons of the toolbar for this particular text box, and others remain clickable until the cursor is placed within their respective areas of editable text. Clicking outside an editable text area does not "restore" buttons to a clickable state. Once they dimmed, they seem to stay like that, unless and until the page is reloaded.
- Other buttons on the toolbar, such as those to insert/remove the hyperlinks, or make the text bold or italic, are not affected by this bug.
- Error was replicated on OSX Yosemite, El Capitan of OSX and Windows 7 Enterprise

Wow, you have a lot of scripts on this page... I see the behavior that you see, test on Windows. (By the way, I had to use HTTP instead of HTTPS.)
Edit: No errors appear in the browser Console to indicate a problem when clicking in the editing area, so disabling seems to be design in the editor, perhaps caused by a detection or object/property/method version detection problem.
Your version of CKEditor is quite old now, it seems to be from early 2013 3.6.6; This series had its last updated July 15, 2014 (3.6.6.2).
The current version is 4.5.4 and when I use the demo, the button works normally: http://ckeditor.com/demo
I don't know how to tease the difference and patch your current CKEditor. The ChangeLog mentions bugs for the gluing of the word several times: http://ckeditor.com/whatsnew
Can update you?

I tried to update Firefox on my desktop since version 33.0 I continue to download and upgrade or install day, but nothing changes. Gmail still says the browser is not supported, and Mozilla says I use an older version and need to update. I downloaded from different places - the links provided when he said outdated sound and go directly to Mozilla.org for download. In fact, I uninstalled Firefox and tried to install instead of upgrade. It does not help. My computer says I have the latest version, but the internet plays an older version. Also my "firefox" button and another add on buttons are missing from the navigation bar, so I can't check 'about' to see what version of the browser itself says that it is running. How can I fix it? I use Firefox for years and this is the first problem I had that I can't fix.
And... your check of software I actually running version 11. Clearly, it is not up-to-date.

"Back" button does not work with the latest version of any help?
Hi, I use the latest version. When I go through the pages, I can not be able to return to previous pages. The back button does not work. When I click the back button, the same page, it's not coming back... Any help would be much appreciated!
Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > appearance/themes).

You can click right back or front button to open the history list.
You can hold down the left button of the mouse either back or next to the history tab list opens.
The current active entry has a bullet in front of it.
If you place an entry in the historic session with the mouse tab, so you see an arrow to the left pointing (rear) left or right (forward) to show the direction.
You can left click on an item to open it in the tab active or middle-click or Ctrl, click on an entry in this list to open that link in a new tab, just as you can with the other links. -
Until I upgraded to your latest version, I was able to view several sites at the same time in the toolbar at the top of my screen. Now, I can view only one at a time, and it is extremely annoying.
You can use one of them to set toolbars to display.

- View > toolbars (press F10 to display the hidden menu bar)
- Right click on empty toolbar space

Everything worked well earlier today. I restarted my computer and open Firefox. The Firefox button is gone. I have not installed new software. I thought that maybe it had been corrupted somehow, so I deleted and downloaded again. The Firefox button is still missing. That's happened? How can I recover it?
You will see the Firefox button when the menu bar is hidden.

"Cannot display page" message, click a second site, it loads. Click on a third, 'not displayed page', click on a fourth, loads correctly. I am running Windows XP with the latest service pack, my machine has a large HD and sufficient RAM. I have not noticed this before the update to the latest version of Firefox. Problem with my computer? Or Firefox?
Note also that due to e-mails, you can also look on the forum
When you say
I tried IE and the same thing. However, things returned to normal after I rebooted my computer,
Do you mean that IE becomes so callous. If so it might be an indication that any fault is it is not Firefox itself.
You also said
I had to wait for it to screw up again, because it's not every time, every day.
If it is an intermittent problem that goes and comes there could be a problem with your internet connection or, for example, a WiFi problem; If this is how the computer connects.
