Between cc and cs6 indesign color profile
Hi all
I use indesign cc and cs6 in Windows 7 os based on the customer's requirement. When I change a color profile in indesign cs6 reflecting in indesign cc and vice versa. Is it possible to keep them unique?
The only solution is to have several documents, each embodying the color settings you want, but otherwise identical.

Attribute mapping between ldap and ecm11g internal user profile user
Hi all
I use ucm11g, is there a way to map between ldap and ecm11g internal user profile user attributes? I tested with an attribute named homephone wls embeded LDAP, create the attribute homephone in ecm11g the user after login profile, I can't find the value in the ecm11g user profile.
Best regardsIn earlier versions, there was LDAPProvider which was replaced by JpsUserProvider to 11g. This component allows you to do a bit in the interface, but there are a few more options which do not seem to be documented. For example, if you have a HomePhone field and enter 123456789 inside and then empty, by default, the JpsUserProvider component will not empty field the Complutense University of MADRID. You can change this by entering ClearMissingAttributes = true in the provider.hda file. Or if you want to use the credentials, you will need to change provider.hda with ProviderCredentialsMap = name_of_map (my source for the latter was the ECM blog at http://blogs.oracle.com/ecmarch/2011/03/).
For more information on JpsUserProvider, look in the Administrator's Guide:
When to add JPS provider: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E14571_01/doc.1111/e10792/c02_settings007.htm#CSMSP496

A question about a difference between CS3 and CS6 (sorry if this is a mistake addressed)
When placed in InDesign (CS3 and CS6) a transparent tif (CMYK) image, there is a difference between those who are created in Photoshop CS3 (correct) and CS6 (white background). Why?
Ask in the forum ID and provide all the necessary information such as profiles of colors used layer styles, TIFF, saving options and so on.

different hue or tint between Adobe and Adobe PS color
I use an Apple iMac that is calibrated using Datacolor Spyder 3. I have a client using a PC that has been calibrated using the same Datacolor Spyder 3. I photograph a product that is color critical for them. Using Adobe Color CC the licensee identified the closest color of their product.
We all have two copies of the same product.
With the help of Adobe Color CC I've identified the code HEX F2FA63. I then go to PS CC and select the code for the brush, but the resulting hue is different when I place them side by side on my screen. The color in PS CC has a tinge of light green compared to a yellow on colour Adobe CC.
I used my screen calibration color profile, RGB and sRGB colour spaces, but the effect is the same.
I need to believe that the color, the customer sees is the same than the one I see on identically calibrated screens.
Am I missing something?
Steve,
Color Adobe does not support color (Web app, or iOS app) management. Photoshop, however, supports color management. So the difference you see is due to the fact that PS is the color management and the web application is not.
I suggest that you have your client identify the color using Photoshop.

Differences between cs5 and CS6 .ai file formats .ai
Hello
I use Illustrator CS5 and CS6. For compatibility I save files to the CS6 file format. But I would like to know what I'm missing, when checking in at the old version of the file. What new can be saved in CS6 fileformat, which cannot be stored in older CS5?
Thank you in advance!

What is the difference between elements and cs6
What is the difference between Photoshop CS6 and elements?
vitaltheatre wrote:
Photoshop Elements is NOT the same thing in Photoshop CS6. Photoshop 6 is passed into the creative cloud (CC)
No, there are many versions of Photoshop, older versions don't fade. Photoshop is a program that evolves every evolution Gets a new name and a version number the version number is important when you develop code for Photoshop. If Photoshop 6 is version 6 which evolved to Photoshop 7 version 7 cs version 8 to version 9 of CS2 to CS3 version 10 to version CS4 11 CS 5 version 12-CS6 13 CC version 14-15 version CC2014 version. All this exists. Version 15 is not backward compatible with any previous version of Photoshop functionality and support have been deleted and new features and added support.
CS6 however is a little weird for are different versions of the CS6 is the perpetual version and versions of the subscription and there, not the same thing not everyone has the same characteristics. If you want to split hairs there are actually 5 cs6 version and if you want to count 32-bit and 64-bit modules there are 8. There are only 3 version numbers but for CS6 wit all updates applied. Mac version perpetual 13.0.6 perpetual version 13.0.1.3 Windows and Mac and PC version 13.1.2 subscription. The perpetual versions can be standard or extended Photoshop wher the subscription version is Photoshop extended.
Similarly, there are several version of Photoshop Elements. All versions of the item not a lot of features that Photoshop in general. Its much cheaper and it has a lot less function then Photoshop. For many elements has all of the features they want. It is unless we learn and element has some hand holding the built-in feature for the novice user, which is something that Photoshop does not...

Color profile selected for new photos of 'Clipboard' wrong with CS6
I gave up trying to find the answer myself.
Steps to reproduce:
1. take a screenshot of something in your web browser (macintosh CMD + SHIFT + 4) to the Clipboard.
2. Select file > new from the menu. Clipboard should be the selected preset.
3 notice how in CS6 the color profile under 'Advanced' is 'View' and NOT 'sRGB' - in CS5 that is sRGB.
4. Paste from the Clipboard into your new document and get color profile set-match WARNING If you're to CS6.
It is either not picking color space the Clipboard correctly as it will be in CS5, or I'm missing something somewhere.
I nothing doing to try to resolve this problem doesn't work. I have sRGB as my default profile in the color settings and nothing I do changes this setting for the 'Clipboard' preset.
I'm sick of forgetting to manually select "sRGB" each time, opening a new document size to my Clipboard and getting the profle incompatibility WARNING color when I paste in the contents of the Clipboard.
I take a lot of screenshots I'm developing sites, it's a problem CONSTANT I create constantly new documents from the Clipboard to check the alignments, zoom in to get samples of color and many other reasons.

Is your display profile sRGB? If not, then what you describe is correct - the operating system adds the display profile to the screenshot and Photoshop acknowledges this profile (which is not sRGB and the result is a mismatch warning). Photoshop CS5 has had some trouble recognizing patterns in pasted content, depending on the version of Mac OS. If no profile is detected, it uses default workspace profile (sRGB in your case).

In Premiere Pro and video export colors are not the same, why?
Hello
So, I filed a clip in speedgrade and exported from Premiere Pro.
Strangely when I play the video with vlc it does not show the colors I had in Premiere Pro.
Now, when I import this clip in AE it seems identical to SpeedGrade and Premiere Pro.
After have exported them sequelae with and without the color profile converter efffect set to sRGB, as well as with and without the workspace defined as srgb, they all look the same, off the coast of color
Did I miss a step?
VLC is up to date?

Problem with upgrade LR4 and CS6
So, I upgraded to LR4 and Photoshop CS6... Today was the first time I went to edit a RAW of LR4 CS6 and it wanted me to install a trial version of CS6 extended? It has never really installed anything, as I already (not extened) CS6 installed on my machine.
I have CS5 extended, but only upgraded to the regualr Photoshop CS6 - is there a problem with that?
Please tell me you don't need CS6 extended to run between LR4 and CS6?
Now he told me only 30 days left of my extened CS6 in the trial, but I (not extended) full CS6 installed - I can't even open regualr Photoshop CS6 anylonger?
Anyone?
It is a known problem with the PS was last updated. See the relevant thread on the PS forum.

Color change of values between Illustrator and InDesign
I have googled and looked here for an answer to my question, but have not been able to find anything.
I designed several pieces of encumbered asset, all using the same unique color. Some of the pieces I designed in Illustrator and the other in InDesign.
The problem is, when I copy and paste the yellow color value (if it is RGB or CMYK - I tried both ways), it CHANGES between Illustrator and InDesign. The color stays the same between Illustrator documents, but if I C + P InDesign - or vice versa-, the color value change literally before my eyes. And I don't want to say 'looks like' different, real changes in number.
Here's a real example:
Call a box in Illustrator and chose the color #f8f1e0 / 2% 3% 12% 0%. Call a box in InDesign, C + P had the values of color in there, and it DID change the color appropriate for a moment. You click OK. Click New in the color picker and color is now #f8f1e1 / 2% 3% 11% 0%.
If it is relevant, it seems that the color will change to a slightly darker every time.
And Yes, the two documents has STARTED OUT as CMYK documents and stayed like that. I also have my color sync via Bridge. I'm working on CC 2015 and all programs are up to date.
Any idea of what could happen? Thank you in advance.
ETA: Okay, I just chose preview overprinting in Illustrator and also changed the color of #f8f1e0 to #f8f1e1. I see now this is not a malfunction of the program, but can someone explain WHY this happens? I'm still new to color management and it's quite confusing for me. Thank you once again.
ETA: thing: when I save the InDesign document to readable PDF and then pull it in Illustrator, the color is now #f8f2e2, even when you preview overprinting.
Hexadecimal values are RGB color, so if you plug one in the color chart the resulting CMYK values are a conversion of the color management of the profile the document CMYK document RGB profile. You will get different CMYK conversions according to the profile source RGB, CMYK destination profile, intend to color and compensation of the black point used for the conversion.
In addition the InDesign documents can have colors RGB and CMYK with CMYK and RGB profiles assigned that do not necessarily correspond to the color settings work profiles, in order to sync'ng your color settings may not get everything to match.
Ultimately if you want to match the CMYK color or nuances between AI and ID, make sure you document assigned CMYK profile matching (Edit > assign profile...) and enter CMYK and hex does not values

Color difference between LR4.4 and CS6
Why is the different colour of the LR4 to CS6? Using Spyder to calibrate the screen and I know CS6 picks up the Spyder calibration but not sure is that LR4 resumes the same calibration. Both are set for space color sRGB.
Lightroom and Photoshop use the default monitor profile operating system (Mac or PC) to the display of the photo files. Therefore, it is best that your monitor is properly calibrated and profiled using a hardware device. (There is no option to select in the opposite case, it is possible to select the sRGB or aRGB as your monitor profile, but there is a work around and you may see evenly rendered color, but not good).
Lightroom by default uses a working color space, which is a variant of Pro Photo RGB. This cannot be adjusted or an alternate selected.
Photoshop has the ability to choose the color space work, Pro Photo RGB, Adobe RGB, sRGB, etc.. If you want to have the best match between Lightroom and Photoshop, it would be best to choose Pro Photo RGB as your working color space in Photoshop.

I ' v saw a lot of youtube videos and video2brain or lynda.com and I didin't clearified the difference between Edition > assign profile... and edit > convert to profile.
On Photoshop Cs6, where is the difference between Edition > assign profile... and edit > convert to profile. With Edition > assign the profile changes the visual appearance of the colors, but the color values remains the same. Assign profile form a profile to a photoshop document so that the profile can travel with the document. Edit > convert to profile changes the values of colors in the document to match the profile, so the color values are shifted. When I do use edit it > convert to profile and edit > Assign profile... command in Photoshop within a document? Can someone explain to me?
Nice day!
Use Convert to profile if you want to change an image from one color space to another, for example when you worked on a picture in AdobeRGB but want to use the image on the web to convert to sRGB may be a good idea. Also when work you in RGB and will have to spend on CMYK images for a specific printing process.
Useful application to assign the profile is generally limited, for example if you get and change an image not profiled (or clearly wrong profiled) it make sense to incorporate the profile so that the later display and editing can proceed in the same way regardless of the workspace.
Have you read it yet?
Kind regards

InDesign CS5 and CS6 scripts changes/incompatibilities
I'm new to scripting InDesign and need to write a JavaScript very complex for InDesign using the Toolbox. My concerns are if CS5/5.5 users will be able to run the script written for CS6. He knows incompatibilities with different versions? If Yes, where can I find a document to compare the differences. I will probably need support the CS5 and CS6 (and anything in between), so a possible solution would be to build for CS5, but if I do, will I'm missing out on all the new key features of CS6?
There are differences of 1 DOM version to another and they can and will break your script, if you have not designed to handle. For example:
If you want to use script like me labels (because they are awesome) the following will break if you use CS5 or later:
app.activeDocument.pageItems.item("myLabel").remove();
So, you have to force the DOM to V6.0. But when you do so be sure to come back to the original version after you're done or you can create more problems. This can be done like this:
app.scriptPreferences.version = 6.0; // CS4's DOM version app.activeDocument.pageItems.item("myLabel").remove(); app.scriptPreferences.version = 10.2; // Current CC DOM version
It is very annoying (for me at least), so I wrap functions that require DOM changes with a customized version changer to handle this for me. Regarding the list of incompatibilities? Not sure, maybe someone here has one, I know that jongware has a website with all the DOM password 1 version to another. This can be found here:
I hope this helps.
