BI Publisher Excel Template: Referencing data in two sheets

Hallo,

I have an Excel template with the worksheet Sheet1 and XDO_METADATA. When I use XDO_? ELEMENT_NAME? in Sheet1, all right.

Now my question. Is is possible to add another worksheet in Excel - sheet sheet2. And then reference data in this sheet, for example, using XDO_? ELEMENT_NAME?
So far I get this error when I call the preview:

No this is not possible, as far as I know if you need different columns in different sheets, you use xsl only excel template.

You can do this by using the rtf model but it will not be as same as regular exit excel and you should be on bi publisher 11g to do you can do like this

When you preview xslx output using the bi publisher rtf model addresses as new sheet page breaks

    Hi Renu,

    Recently, I came across a similar requirement, and I went to without BEEP features to hide and show columns during execution, unlike the RTF.

    But I did it in Excel model with the help of the Macro. It works fine for me.

    Please see below

    1. based on a cell value 'A', I have to hide the column

    2 written a simple if statement in macro to get the value of 'A' and do the hide/show

    3. you need to do this only in "ThisWorkbook" macro is executed when the excel output is open.

  • BI Publisher: Excel template: 'Fixed' model of several leaf

    I am creating a BI editor using Excel template. The final report must be several leaves, with each sheet with a different set of data.

    For example: sheet 1 would always be list of employees. Sheet 2 would still be the list of departments. This means that the column headers and the number of columns would be different in each sheet. However, the number of leaves and the names of Woksheet would be the same always.

    Is there a way to do this?

    However, in the example I mentioned above, you will notice that layouts and data sets are different in each of the sheets.

    This forum has been a great source of information. I'm developing a simple report in Excel to the BI Publisher in outstanding balances. A document XML generated and used the worksheet BlankTemplate provided with BI Publisher Desktop in the test report.

    I had followed the steps cited in creating Excel templates. After loading XML data and test (Preview), I encounter the following error. I even formatted the fields appropriate to the number with 2 decimal places. The strings 238098.39, 96026.08 etc are values of debt amount. And also checked for the definition of OPERATIONAL data fields using names Manager. Could you please share your entries for this problem?

    There seems to be a problem with the way in which you saved the output .xml file.

    You must create the group ' XDO_GROUP_? G_CUST_NUMBER?' all fields overlapping. I was able to preview after changes.

    I have an excel template that I created. I open this model, save it under a different name and then writing and saving data to a sheet excellent at regular intervals. It gives me an error 5, I understand what it means and I'm working around him.  However, after too many hours trying to figure it out, I asked for any help or input.     Anyone know how I can fill (with PL/SQL) Oracle data in an Excel template (with pre-defined formulas)? I mean that the user provides the Excel model so I just transfer the data from Oracle in particular cells in the worksheet. The model can be large and can become 50 pages long.

    So, you want an Oracle process or a process of APEX to take an existing Excel file and simply plug data into it? What I would say is instead, you export your data out and into your writing Excel VBA code file to take you input file and treat it accordingly.

    I want a query that gives me a combination of above mentioned queries... and if I tried to use Union or Union All, then she is not giving me the result as expected.

    I like the result to look like who has a few conditions such as -
    1 - the records in the table Football are high vs Baseball table because there is no condition to filter the records of the Football.
    2 - football is a superset of records and Baseball is a subset.
    3 - COMPENSATION NOM_JEU and RUNNING NOM_JEU may return the same values as well.

    I want the result to be in the following form-

    EXECUTION ID GAME | NAME OF THE GAME TO RUN. COMPENSATION ID GAME | DELETE THE NAME OF THE GAME.
    2123 test1 2345 test5
    2456 test10 2456 test10

  • crosstab - data of two folders

    I have a crosstab report with data from two different folders. I started by the generation of the report to a file and everything was fine. When I tried to add a column of data in the second file, I started to have problems.

    Just a comment before asking two questions: I find that I'm not getting consistent results. Sometimes I get a report but then after it is saved and I want to run it again the report is empty. I try to build again to add the data to the second folder and then sometimes I get a report and sometimes not.

    Now the questions:

    (1) when I add a data field in the second file I'll always a blank report. However, if I add another field from the folder in a column heading (even if I really don't want it in the report) I'll get information. If there is a join between two folders, why not just add the data without another column heading field?

    (2) the first time I had the work of report I had added the field project in the column header (because it is the element of the page). Now I can't report, unless I use the field counts as the column header. This is part of the inconsistencies I mentioned.

    I think I am missing something in my understanding of the crosstab reports. Can you help me?

    When you add the data of 'C' field you add it retail or SUM?
    have you tried playing with the aggregation methods in the worksheet?

    You stop the second for loop using cluster of error which means that your upper and lower loop stops when you press exit but not the one in the middle. In theory, you should send a queue for loops below when you press the exit button and also make sure that you shoot hunting all queues before closing everything.

  • Reading and saving data of two serial ports

    Hi, I googled similar questions in the forum, but I don't have an answer for my problem so I'm posting it here.

    I would read and record data of two balances throgh serial ports. I have a drop down menu in VI, I can choose the availabe ports on my pc. But it is still only one that works. So I only get one data scales them.

    I usually get to choose 6 ports, but only one of them works. So I'm wondering if this is something that has to do with my pc or the VI?

  • Tracing data from two locations on the block diagram on the same graph

    I'm trying to plot data from two distinct processes on a chart.  These processes occur in the order.

    I have developed several solutions, which none produce the result I want.  What I want is for the data to trace in real time each process is running.

    The two processes are functionally identical - one loop "for".  With each iteration of these loops, data is produced and traced.

    The data are plotted in real time, which means that each reference appears on the chart as soon as it is produced.

    However, I am not able to get the second process data on the same graph in the same way.

    The closest I got combines the graphic with a local variable.  This allows the data for the two processes to draw in real time, but the second set of data replaces the first.

    I have attached a very simple test VI showing my problem.

    Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

    You can do something like this. Is the second process just a continuation of the first? If so, it becomes even easier and you can just to keep construction of the table in the second loop.

    Just save it as a template.  Type your editable content, then press ctrl + s.  On the bottom there are a dropdown menu that says 'Save as type'.  Click on it and select Word or Excel Template.

    These scripts only clears on a specific day, but I tried to write the script to clear between two dates, I surfed on a few sites, but no clear answers, finaanly came here, kindly help in this regard.

    Have you not tried the format of "startdate":"enddate" for example "August":"September."
