  I actually found the problem. He was not with the password Bios "Fireport" itself, but the Wyse keyboard accompanying the Thin Client Z90D7.

  The keyboard has a manufacturing defect which depresses the key 'G' each time you press the button "T". A drop test good with the keyboard, released what was causing the problem, and I'm back in business...

  I try to enable BitLocker on my laptop, and apparentlym my drive is misconfigured. I'm trying to get a copy of the drive preparation tool to help me, but I can't find a version compatible with Windws Vista Enterprise SP2. Knowledge Base article explains two ways to get the tool - windows update help and by following this link: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=320B9AA9-47E8-44F9-B8D0-4D7D6A75ADD0 - and none of these work.

  To the best of my knowledge, there is no such thing as an automated tool compatible with SP2, and I'm not 100% clear on what to do to prepare the drive manually. I've got 20 GB unallocated disk main HARD outside the system partition and the partition of storage, but I want to know what to do before you start fiddling around with it. I know that the BitLocker boot partition must have a size of at least 1500, and it should be active, but what files need to be on it so that BitLocker to run? What else do I need to do before I can activate BitLocker?

  I suggest you to use the BitLocker Repair tool to get data from the encrypted hard drive.

  I bought broke ProBook 6540 b for parts on eBay. Managed to fix the card mother, added a drive hard, but cannot open the BIOS to set the configuration.

  Then run USB Image tool.

  Choose the flash drive, and then click RESTORE.

  Remove the flash drive after the restore.

  Insert a locked in a portable flash drive and boot. "If the HARD drive is installed remove before start".

  HPBR of type "and then press ENTER.

  First thing is to save your settings.

  Press "S" to save the system information.

  Type HPBR and press ENTER.

  Yesterday I did a clean install of Windows 10 on my PC with a backup of the hard disk external. I downloaded iTunes, but get an error message that the drive is locked, the .itl files are locked, or I don't have administrative rights to these files. I deleted and reinstalled the PCI DSS several times correctly in the PCI slot hoping that would be a solution, but to no avail.   Unfortunately, business machines such as Probooks or EliteBook have more strict security consumption patterns - they do not produce "stop codes", the password cannot be derived from the serial number and the code is stored in a nonvolatile memory to remove the RTC cell does not reset the password in this case.

  If you Contact HP Business support they should be able to send you a file custom SMC.bin that you can use to reset the password at startup.

  having trouble with my laptop.
  The partition of my drive is lost (not so bad, I can fix it I guess), but the main problem is that my Bios is really stuck. I can not change anything in it.

  Everything is grey, I can't make changes to it but the date and time system.

  I tried to find an update to Flash the bios, but it seems that nobody is available.
  Seems that the model is as unknown, kinda weird btw.

  What can I do?

  (1) you are going to use the Toshiba Recovery disk
  (2) you can buy the Microsoft Windows 8.
