now what should I do?  support won't talk to me without pay. I had multiple problems as it was back in November - nothing was fully resolved.  Now, I get arrested, bleached.  cannot go beyond the blue hp screen initially to the top.  stops spontaneously and often will not return to the standby mode.  This morning I came back after an absence of 2 hours to a black screen with the reboot and the message from device select proper boot.  This means nothing to me.  I have to cold start and then sometimes repeat under and turned off for an hour so he could actually start up.

In addition, I play casual games, a player on my machine, not online, the months spent all my games lying around, before that they were perfect, the reason I bought a new computer in the first place; my 9 year old bridge and which finally bit the dust after no problem FOREVER.  I bitterly regret the purchase of this new machine.

I can follow the instructions for Dummies.  I have installed additional hard disks in my old machine and the extra RAM and video cards on my own.

Any advice on how to get this computer to work properly would be appreciated.  I have an online business that it paralyzes terribly.

Thanks in advance for any help.

  • Dell XPS 8700 - failure of the keyboard when the bios boot (but not when Windows is loaded)

My Dell XPS 8700 has 10 Windows and a Logitech Keyboard wireless, connected by USB. The keyboard works absolutely fine when Windows has loaded. I have the latest version of the bios, A11.

However, when the computer is turned on and starts the bios start, it displays 'Keyboard Failure' on the screen for about half a second. When I try to go into the bios setup by pressing "F2" at the counter (I keep typing "F2" from the moment when I press the power button on the computer), there is no answer. The "keyboard failure" and inability to enter the bios setup seems to happen if I do a cold immediately after a stop start, a cold start after the computer is turned off for an extended period or a reboot.

I tried to connect the wired keyboard original Dell one of the USB ports on the front of the unit (without disconnecting the wireless keyboard) with the same problem at the start of the bios.

I encountered this problem on versions of bios A11 both A03. I know that in the past, although I don't remember when - I was able to enter the bios setup by pressing "F2".

Any thoughts on how to solve this problem?

You can try and reset the CMOS. It will return your settings to factory settings, but not the version. Usually, this erases these problems because CMOS stores data editable such as your wireless keyboard settings. BIOS stores the information about the basic material that is unchangable as your keyboard usb, mouse and other essential equipment. If you notice, when you just plugin any keyboard and mouse, its recognized at startup. Your needs software to run wireless device and that is stored in the CMOS.

So once reset you the CMOS, you may need to then install the wireless software.

    Good luck.

    Thank you very much.

    Hello

It seems that the OS Vista was preinstalled on this laptop.
This means that you have installed the Windows 7 system to your own hand.

The point is that BIOS update requires a few essential tools of Toshiba.
For example, the package of value added is an important software package and must be preinstalled on the laptop.

    VAP is installed?
If this isn't the case, install the PPV before trying to update the BIOS.

  • BIOS update release notes

    Hello

I have seen that there are several updates to BIOS, version 6.50, 6.60 and 6.70 but no grade version with documentation on new features or resolved objections.

    Doesn´t Toshiba provide this information?

I expect to have enough information to decide on the update by myself.

Someone of you has the most information?

    Kind regards

Unfortunately on European page Toshiba Toshiba doesn't offer these tickets, just the BIOS update.
What you can do is to check the version of updating BIOS on page US - http://support.toshiba.com/drivers
You will find info what's new in some update of the BIOS.

In any case, if your laptop works well and stable BIOS update is not necessary.

  • Pavilion x 2 10-n155sa: bios update does not install

HP Support Assistant on a new Pavilion x 2 detachable (10-n155sa) said that the needs of the (Doritos 2.0) bios updated. He is currently F04 and offered new is F06.

I accept the option of automatic update and it downloads etc and to sit down again 'installation' for too long. The PC is not suspended and the update can be cancelled OK, to keep the laptop on F04. It seems not really 'out' at all and immediately cancels the installation (I expected to take a long time to regularize).

The laptop is running. I tried several times now and just on the installation screen.

Someone at - it ideas? Is there a problem with this update? Any alternative to the automated mechanism?

    Thank you

    KB10

    Hello KB10,.

You try to update the bios through the HP Support assistant or you download the file directly on the site of HP?

    IF not, I'll try later.

    Here's the direct link... SP73945.exe

But in all reality, If it's not broken don't fix it. IF you don't have problems with the bios, then do not update!

BIOS update are a different animal than updating a driver. If something goes wrong, you have enabled your system in a brick.

And the HP Support assistant says you need to update the bios is not because its necessary. Don't do that if its absolutely need.

    But good luck anyway.

  • 1400-503 problem start will not start

Hello. I have a problem at startup. When I
Press power, switches on the control and the fan starts but nothing happens: the start does not start, no HARD drive. It started two weeks ago. After trying three - five times the normal boot sequence has started.
Now it won't start at all, with one exception: If the computer is cold (after a few hours in the cold car and (no joke) after a while in the fridge).
Does anyone have an idea what causes this, and if the repair is expensive.

    Hi diederick

In my opinion it s an overheating problem. You should check the cooling modules and try to clean it up. The right tool is a vacuum cleaner.
If this problem persists if you contact Toshiba service to check the laptop.

  • Qosmio F60 - BIOS settings may not be saved

    Hello

I have this laptop and WIndows 7 Pro. It's since the first day. I put this topic about a year ago, and now, no solution has been produced.

I can access the bios, check the settings, but can not save the... Even to get out of the bios ESC does not work, but I have to restart manually.

I have found people with the same problem. Is it because of the bios? How Toshiba can be notified on this issue, since it seems that they are not seeking here a lot?

    > I think of people having the same problem.
To be honest, I've never heard before. If you have this problem for a long time so why you didn't contact the nearest Toshiba the provider of service and asked for help?

Please don t waste your time thinking about inform Toshiba. Just contact Toshiba service nearest and ask for help. They will take care on this issue.

  • The BIOS clock does not work after upgrade to Windows 7

XW4300 workstation has been recently updated to Windows 7 from XP pro.  After the update, the system clock did not keep accurate time, then I entered the BIOS Setup and set the time here.  After several hours, I rebooted, entered the BIOS configuration and noticed clock BIOS had not changed.  I replaced the CMOS (CR2032) battery with three different batteries and BIOS clock does not always change.

Occasionally, Windows 7 system clock will synchronize to the BIOS clock, which creates the incorrect time in Windows. I can see these events in the system event log.

Is it possible that this problem is related to the Win 7 upgrade, or is it a problem without a report?  Suggestions to control or fix the BIOS clock beyond what has been done so far?  If I can't fix the BIOS clock, is it possible to prevent the synchronization of the clock in the BIOS Win 7?

    ERICO wrote:

Replace the jumper CLRCMOS or CLRRTC to its original position after erasing the CMOS memory and flashed the BIOS? If you do not then the time will be reset whenever you turn off the PC.

I have not found a CLRRTC jumper on the 4300.  Is there a jumper to reset the password (E49), and a CMOS reset button.

However, I tried to reinstall the battery with power supply cable disconnected, and it reset the CMOS all anyway.  Reset the CMOS seems to have solved the problem.  BIOS clock has now begun to follow the exact time again.  I rebooted several times now, and the time is now correctly.

Thank you all for your suggestions.

Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

I read your post on the button start Win10 is no longer working and I wanted to help.

People with MS by pushing the Win10 updated weekly, it is not uncommon for a working PC suddenly that things stop working.

Here, it's a simple solution, but as shown in this thread related, is not: bar of tasks/Start button not working not!-Windows 10 Forums

All what I can say is that you work through this thread and hopefully, any of the fixes will work.
