BIOS update broke my Satellite P750

I have just updated the BIOS on my P750 Satellite with the Toshiba file and now my BIOS is damaged.
Before everyone says I have entered my serial number it came with file BIOS that I need for my laptop. Unzipped the zip file ran the exe update from American Megatrends ran laptop restarted very well.

Now windows will not boot.
Windows 7 64-bit.
Three color balls 'Windows' and then suspended. Fan runs like an express train. but nothing else.
Breaking into startup gets me a start Windows normally or start recovery or work or repair.

You can start your laptop in safe mode?
Have you tried to install the recovery image using the recovery disk?

I am also asking for help, but in general, I am a novice computer user.

Recently I ve noticed my laptop on a go slow and it took especially at his age and also the internet connection like that that its mainly intended.

I decided to do a reset to factory and then put to update all drivers Toshiba had on the support page of which some are not directly part of Toshiba.

In any case, my only complaint is that why you support drivers Intel.
Since I found that many of my internal components are obsolete as pci, HD graphics card and wireless, sound, chipset, usb controllers, adapters and I think I even think that the bios is outdated...

Ask any competent person here who knows how I can find an update of the bios for the P750 Satellite that will detect everything that is out of date, as I am struggling to source some drivers and do not want to install the drivers intel hurt.

But shame on you, Toshiba to not to give your laptop a mention that Intel drivers may be needed or have them on your download page, it would be really useful...

I've been using drivers from 2010 in some cases

I'm not quite sure what Satellite P750 youhave exactly, but the latest BIOS is on the page of the Toshiba UE m driver:
    http://www.Toshiba.EU/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp
It seems that 2, 80 - WIN BIOS is the latest available version, even though it was released in 2012.

As you probably know, the BIOS isn't a party that will be updated and maintained on a regular basis. If everything is OK, the BIOS didn't need updates.

Also other software or drivers Toshiba would be updated by Toshiba in case something would be wrong
As you know, Toshiba released many series of the laptop. A lot of the new laptop series supports the same pieces of equipment such as Intel, modules Wlan chipset or graphics cards.

Drivers released for these units can be used also in your laptop. Of only if course your device supports the same pieces of equipment.

  • BIOS update failed on Satellite P200 - 13 M

    Hello world

    I have a Satellite P200, (PSPB6E-03G01XFR).
Yesterday, after attempting to update my BIOS version with the windows application, my phone was cut.

I downloaded the new version of the bios of Toshiba-Europe Web site (v2.30) and I tried to use the Crisis_Recovery_Disk but no result. :(
    Can someone help me please?

Unfortunately, in your case only the ASP can help you.

Does your BIOS update fails and only the ASP can update the ROM module damaged by using a special version of the BIOS

So, don t waste time and ask the ASP in your country to help.

    Best regards dude

  • Problem running 4,80 Bios Update on the Satellite P100-473

    Hello
I have a satellite P100-473 enriched with 4 GB of ram, using ubuntu 10.04 lucid 64 with nvidia driver.

Problem with often increase GPU to high temperature (over 100 ° C) using sensors applet to check.

    I guess that's a BIOS and a driver problem.

Windows 7 x 64 I don't have this problem with the latest nvidia driver (using speedfan to check the temperature)

I tried to Flash the bios with the latest version => _Update.exe BD1_BIOS (V4.80) version 4.0, I actually and all flashing same mistake you Error - 121. update of DXE etc...

While the .exe to extract the contents of the flash on your c:\tmp I'll try a bios flash with a bootable usb key and phlash.exe with the BD13C43. WPH.

The problem is to find the phlash.exe official back... Phoenix does not provide such tools ;(

I understand the need of simple bios flash on windows... but I don't understand the .iso missing for flashing at the start when the operating system does not match...

If you have an idea thanks ;)

Toshiba has offered traditional old BIOS updated (diskette), a long time ago. Now you can find WIN updates only.
You can try to contact the closest service Toshiba and ask if they have traditional BIOS update.

I found a lot of people complain about this same issue.
I have found no solution posted. Most (now locked) son is completed by people who say 'don't update your bios is running well.

This computer does not work well and I'd like to update the BIOS.

The problem is that the update of the bios said it failed because the update is only not for this model of computer.
    The laptop is a Satellite 3000 - X 11. I downloaded the update of the BIOS v1.6 for the Satellite 3000 - X 11
So I don't know why he made this complaint.

Please let know us if there is anything more I can do here.

The fact is that the BIOS update can be done automatically and it can only be done by the laptop user.

    Hello

I n t have experience with these tools of recovery of the BIOS because I think it s a little too risky. There is no official way to recover a BIOS and I don t want to destroy the whole ROM module.

In my opinion if a BIOS update n t successful, you should go to an authorized service provider. Contact a technician for laptop and explain your situation. The technician can try to reflash it and they have more experience. I think that this should t be a problem to connect with one. ;)

    Good luck!

  • Keyboard and BIOS update issue on Satellite L505-13V

Hello, I have two problems with my laptop.

First is related to the keyboard. It started a few days ago, the laptop has wound down due to low battery, when I turned on it again once, I received a bad operation of the keyboard.
The main problem is that when I type for ex 4, it appears on-screen as r4, and so on for some other keys.
I ' v wanted by web it may possibly be due to the BIOS. And decided to update to the current version.

    And here's the second problem:
I downloaded the update to the bios from the toshiba site and tried to install it, but it stops on the last stage, something of the region.
Could someone please help with questions?

    Hello

    > I got a malfunction of the keyboard.
What message did you receive exactly? This message based on Windows or what exactly?
Of course, it could be a malfunction of the keyboard but software as well. Way simpler to check this must connect an external keyboard.

    > I downloaded the update to the bios of the toshiba site and tried to install it, but it stops on the last stage, something of the region.
Where did you download this patch exactly? This update specifically for Satellite L500-13V and PSLJ0E model series?

  • BIOS update killed my Satellite Pro A210-1AZ

    Hello

Today Tempro gave me an alert that there is a new update of the BIOS (bios-20100215113621). I duly installed in the usual way. During the restart, the machine came with a message from sum of CONTROL INCORRECTE.

While I was reading the message machine gave a sharp sqeak and dies quickly. It won't restart or answer.

Toshiba may explain why they distribute updates of Slayers and offer on how to get my machine back to life.

Two identical machines so we leave my wife running on the old bios.

The one you have any good ideas?

    Hello

    This s pity companion
Looks like the BIOS update procedure has failed, which means that you need a help of a technician of the ASP
I hope that the ROM module was not too bad. In most cases, should be reflash the ROM BIOS again

In any case, this procedure needs a crisis BIOS disk that would help to Flash the module.

    Welcome them

  • BIOS update alert for Satellite L755 19 X Win 7 64 bit

It says I need to install the new update of the bios (version of bios date bios 3, 60-WIN 15/03/13), but the link seems to be although I already download it and installed in 2012:

    Hello

I guess you have received notification of the Toshiba tool called Tempro.
This tool does not check the version that is already installed.

This tool ONLY indicates that a new file has been uploaded to the server of pilot and is ready for download
Therefore, it is NOT an invitation to update the BIOS or driver you know

In addition, you should know that BIOS update is always sensitive to a procedure and if you don t have problems, I put t all this serious reasons to do

  • Problem installing BIOS update on the satellite U series

Installation of Toshiba TEMPRO informed me there's an update of the BIOS (published April 7, 2010) must be installed.

When I received this notification I downloaded the .zip file and extract its content - BIOS_UPDATE_V170.exe-, but the execution of this file, I got a popup error saying < file "c:\". ' is not accessible >. I decided there must be a bug in the installer that will be corrected in time, so I have nothing and waited.

Today, I received another notice that the BIOS update was available, but even once, I get the same error. My c:\ folder seems OK!
The BIOS file is in C:\TOSHIBA\ARSENAL10_10G_BIOS_UPDATE_V170_WIN where I extracted to (having initially tried to run my downloads folder, I thought I'd try also, but it seems to make no difference).

Can anyone offer any suggestions? Any help is greatly appreciated.
If not, how can I get advice from Toshiba?

    See you soon

    Thanks for your comments!

  • L50 - A - PSKK6F - BIOS update v1.9 satellite fails

First time I had to deal with so many things to get my bios updated.
This model never constant speed... is up and down and some hardware options not available or at par with the specifications provided.

Sounds like a bios problem. Current BIOS v1.7.
When I try to update using the update from Toshiba, it indicates that the program does not work with the current configuration...

    Copy the prior program.
    Please help.

and what is the current configuration of your laptop?
    Have you changed your system?

BIOS update (especially if its a BIOS update Windows based) requires some essential things: your special system-based Toshiba utility must be installed.

By the way: the update of the BIOS does not improve the performance of s for laptop. Also the BIOS update adds no extra hardware options. This is why I would recommend you don't expect too much from this update of the BIOS

  • Satellite A100 - 920 PS9AA: 5,60 a BIOS update broke to boot from USB

After upgrading the bios on my 920 to the last 5.60 a100 I can no longer boot from attached USB memory sticks or hard drives.

Is this a known issue? Can I go back to an older bios and if so where can I find? If not how much time it will be a fix, or is there something I can try to fix in the meantime.

    Help! It's really frustrating!

Talk of the old 'if it isn't broken don't fix' bite me back.

    Simon.

    Hello

Really boot from the USB key?
To my knowledge, this only is not possible and not supported.
Only start the HDD, ODD, LAN or USB FDD is possible, but not USB or HDD USB key.
But the A100 is one of the new series of laptop and maybe the initialization of the USB memory was included.

Have you checked the HWSetup Toshiba? This tool supports different options you can control the priority to start this utility!
Check if the USB is available and has been first in tab Boot Priority.

Regarding the downgrade to BIOS; I think that something like that is not possible because only the latest versions of BIOS are available on the Toshiba page.
But if you wish, you can contact the ASP in your country for details and perhaps the technician could downgrade the BIOS to the version of last second.
