  I just installed a Samsung SSD, but could not find the option to enable the AHCI in the bios Veriton x 275 (small form factor desktop). Cuurently boot OK IDE but AHCI is supposed to be superior to the SSD.

  As you have noticed, there is no AHCI in the BIOS, only RAID and IDE.

  Right after an update of the bios, you must load the default settings of the bios utility:

  1. Bios Flash
  2. Restarting the machine
  3. Press [delete] to enter the bios Setup utility
  4. Press [F9] to load the default settings (Acer thermal module)
  5. Press [F10] to save and exit

• TC - 605 Bios

  I'm a little confused on the Bios OK to use on a TC-605-UR-19 and TC-605-UR13. For all purposes, they are the same computer (same card mother and CPU even). Both came with preinstalled Windows 8.1 and I'm still using 8.1 on both.

  When I look at the downloads of acer, it shows a P21. BIOS from a4 to 2.6 MB. I flashed this UEFI bios on one of the computers and it works fine. But after reading the post below, I realized that there are two P21. BIOS of a4. I guess that one is for 8.1 for Windows and one for Windows 7?

  What Bios should be used for preinstalled wondows 8.1? Version 2.6 MB or 2.9 MB version? 2.9 MB version does not appear in the downloads from acer for TC - 605. If the 2.9 MB version is supposed to be used for Windows 8.1, can you please add this version to downloads Acer (if it must be used for TC - 605 win 8.1).

  On the right, for this one there is none listed like that. By default, we would explain to the customers our article of compatibility of version of BIOS that we have created for those who have tried to update their BIOS and it did not work.

  • If your BIOS has been listed as before P21.xx the update you wouldn't be able to use P21.xx versions.
  
  
  • If the BIOS is listed as one of the versions that have the 'L' in the end, they can only use the version that have the "L" at the end and follow the same type of version P11.xx.
  
  
  • For those who have P11.xx, they can only use those.

  They put (not for updates) to make it easier for customers, I don't know why they don't have for this one. I sent a message to see why as long as we have no issues like this, but you use the correct version of the BIOS.   To start your computer using the last good known Configuration, follow these steps:

  1. Start your computer.
  2. When you see the message "Please select the operating system to start", press the F8 key.
  3. When the Windows Advanced Options menu appears, use the ARROW keys to select last good Configuration known (your most recent settings that worked)and press ENTER.
  4. If you use other operating systems on your computer, use the arrow keys to select Microsoft Windows XP, and then press ENTER.

  If this does not help, we think of something else.

  Hello, I recently bought a Veriton L670G opportunity for our family of PC.

  It seems to be a compact and very nice unit.

  I would like to do a clean install of Win 7 Professional on a new hard drive but has no installation disc.

  The base of the unit has what appears to be a COA ACER original and in good condition for Win 7 Pro, but I have purchase Acer problems required media.

  After several online "chats" with ACER, I paid about 51GBP and received a CD containing only of FreeDOS.

  There is clearly something that I'm either wrong or I am providing erroneous data.  I have provided the serial number of the BIOS Veriton case labels info and photo of the ACER Microsoft COA.

  The Microsoft web site will not help as they say that it is the responsibility of the ACER as OEM.  No doubt, Microsoft acknowledges the number of COA as having come from ACER.  The COA label has ACER clearly on this.

  ACER support chat tell me that the machine was initially delivered with FreeDOS but the tag box is clearly for Win 7.

  Still no Acer said that my COA is not legitimate, so I'm at a loss to know how I can provide me with a legitimate system of re - install.

  Is it possible to create media complete re-installation of my ongoing Win 7 OS?  I don't see a way to do short to take a ghost of thesystem partition copy.

  Useful suggestions (other than the purchase of a copy of the retail of a BONE) are welcome.

  You can't update in the UEFI.

• Veriton M498G memory upgrade problem

  I'm trying to age 5 years Veriton M498G memory upgrade my son of 4 GB to 12 GB now when I upgaded to Windows 7 64 bit.

  The original 2 GB key still works fine and the 2 GB key that I added back a bit works very well too (4 GB total).

  But when I remove all the sticks and put in a new 4 GB stick the computer crashes in the POST just after the BIO 1024Mo of RAM (!). Looks like that the BIOS does not like the 4 GB stick! Compensation of the BIOS did not help.

  Back original memory makes the computer works perfectly.

  I am well aware of the memory manufacturer/type compatibility issues.

  I tried 4 different memory of 4 GB sticks from 2 different sources with no luck.

  My questions are:

  1. the Veriton M498G motherboard or BIOS has any limitation on the size of the memory card?

  2 I missed a setup or configuration to let the BIOS see the 4 GB memery stick?

  3. a more recent BIOS help? (the computer uses the original BIOS from 2011)

  4. is there a solution runs the endless trial and error of purchase and return of USB keys?

• Install Windows 7 Enterprise on Veriton x4640g

  We have recently acquired 30 x Veriton x4640g that comes preloaded with Windows 7 Professional. I tried to install the version of Windows 7 Enterprise and continues to freeze on the language selection / time zone all day.

  My next step is to upgrade the BIOS to see if that helps, a start-up network also suggested colleague via the Windows Deployment Services, I doubt that will solve the problem, but I'm grabbing at straws here any suggestions.

  So after a lot of noise I just got an e-mail from my IOC that acer will send someone during an update on all the machines we bought recently and which should solve this problem. They could have just sent me the tool and I could have done myself, or maybe they don't want to share with us.

• Acer Veriton N2620G/disconnect keyboard issue

  We set up recently a few new Acer Veriton N2620G thin clients in our call center.  After you have configured an ICA connection, we discovered that if a user presses NumLock and Caps Lock, it disconnects the session... This can happen at any time... login screen, after that they were recorded in during some time... at any time.  We are able to reproduce this on all of our new Acer Veriton N2620G thin clients.  All our thin clients from Wyse existing work perfectly.  We used existing keyboards, we used the keyboards that accompanies the new Acer... same problem.  We configure RDP connections as a test and these function normally... they do NOT disconnect.

  I chatted with the support of DeTOS (OS on the thin client) and their level 1 is zero help.  They tried to transfer me to level 2, but I received a message that they are not open at this time...

  For the record, it was a problem with the version of Citrix ICA Receiver.  Assistance provided an update to the ICA client and he resovled question.

• Veriton M6620G Quadro graphics upgrade

  Hi all

  I have 6 Veriton M6620G i7 machines in my office serving CAD workstations, currently using the integrated graphics card H4000.

  I bought cards Nvidia QUADRO K600 to improve performance in 3D but I can't machines accept cards of the modeling.

  After editing the K600 and turning the power on, the machine returns 5 rapid beeps then 1 beep a tone more high, synonymous with the tone of MESSAGE standard. About 20-30 seconds later, another MESSAGE beep occurs however nothing happens.

  On the screen, it displays the option to access BIOS however, there is no response after selecting the DELETE key (or another key). Have tried different configs in BIOS, TPM, off etc. Nothing has changed. The mother Board has 2 slots and the result is the same for both.

  I read a post in this group about the re-activation of the integrated graphic card where a K400 had been installed at the factory and responses indicated the BIOS being locked (to be built), so the graphiocs aboard would be left disabled.

  My question is... Is this likely to my desktop as well? As in, due to the K600 is not part of the original construction, the option for any upgrade has been deleted?
