bkf format?

How to open files that I backed up on disk hard ext if it is saved in the bkf format?

I understand that the files are on the external hard drive. Backup XP can be directed to an external hard drive.

1. Once backup is open, choose the option restore files

2. click on next

3. There is a button in the upper right corner called browse

4 click

5. click on browse and navigate to your external hard drive.

Hope this helps

  • How to FORMAT my hard drive with a RECOVERY PARTITION and my system restore from. BKF files

History made as short as possible.

I inherited a gateway with XP Media Center 2004. I transferred all my old files to the new computer, and it worked fine. I did a full backup of the system (.) BKF). Later, I installed a disc for my Vivitar camera I used before with my old system and my computer crashed.

I tried everything I know to do a restore. F8, F10 and F11 during start-up and the best I could come up with was the safe MODE, but it would fail to any ENTRY.

I really feel like the hard disk must be formatted and start over. I can not access the recovery partition and no XP CD was provided.

My question is: How can I reformat the hard drive with a petition of recovery and reinstall my operating system of BKF files?

  • Cannot restore file bkf NAS to Vista Home Premium disk XP

I have a HP Pavilion a6220n PC desk top running Vista Edition Windows Home Premium.  Exploitation is corrupt is a couple of weeks, and I haven't had a recent backup of the C drive.  (I know...)  In any case, I could take the Vista machine's hard drive and connect it as a second hard drive on my XP machine.  Then, I was able to make a file bkf HD Vista on my 1 TB MyBookLive NAS drive.  Then I put the HD Vista on the Vista PC.  And I was able to run the recovery partition recovery procedure.  Of course, he wiped the C drive but Vista works again like factory.

So now, I need to restore the file the MyBookLive drive on the Vista machine bkf.  I thought it would be easy.  I discovered that the restoration of Vista does not recognize the bkf file types.  But the Vista restore utility had a link explaining that I could download a backup NT and restore and it would be able to restore a bkf file type in a Vista machine.  So I downloaded the NT utility.  But when I ran, the NT utility doesn't seem to be able to find the MyBookLive disk.  It does not seem to have all the options restore from a network drive.

So my next bright idea was to buy a Toshiba 1 TB USB HD.  I figured I'd just copy the NAS MyBookLive to the Toshiba HD bkf.  I tried on the XP machine, and I got an error that says I don't have enough disk space.  I guess this means that the C XP disk doesn't have enough free space, because the MyBookLive and Toshiba HD have enough free space.  Moreover, the bkf file is LARGE (355GB).

OK, so I decide to use the Vista machine to copy the bkf file.  I can map to the NAS MyBookLive and see the bkf file.  And the Toshiba HD is automatically recognized by Vista.  The C-drive Vista has 327 GB free.  And again, I got the same error - not enough disk space.

I started to compress the bkf file in a file of rar on MyBookLive, using the XP utility.  Original estimate was 66 hours remaining.  I decided to give up this idea because I don't know if it will even work and wouldn't wait for 66 hours to find out.  My hope was that if the compressed file was smaller, so I could copy the compressed on the Toshiba HD.

So here I sit with a disk network MyBookLive bkf file.  And I need to restore this information on the Vista machine.  If anyone knows how to restore directly from the network drive MyBookLive to the Vista, which would be preferable.  Next ideal if anyone knows how to copy a file, bkf 355GB since the network MyBookLive on the Toshiba USB HD drive, then I might be able to restore from the Toshiba USB HD on the Vista machine.

    Any ideas would be appreciated.

GEEK SQUAD came to the rescue. Agent Hugo Westminster, CO Best Buy suggested I get the error "insufficient disk space" because USB Toshiba HARD drive is formatted in "FAT32" format of file at the factory.  He recommended fitness to "NTFS".  I did and was able to copy the large bkf file (it took about 12 hours).

I have now connected USB Toshiba HARD drive into the Vista machine.  And "NT Backup and Restore" was able to recognize it.  It is now trying to restore the backup of the files on the desktop to Vista PC.  I'll know in a few hours if the restore was successful.

The restore operation did turn out to be successful.

  • Restore data from a CD after format hard drive. Backup and Restore Center.

I had a virus problem in my system.  I was asked to back up the data before they formatted my hard drive.  I used the backup and restore - 33 CDs Center.  After picking up my computer (they have reinstalled the operating system - Vista), I was unable to restore my data.  When I try to restore it, I get this message "there are no backups available on this computer.

    Hi happythinker321,

    1. How did you create the backup?

You will need to use the advanced restore feature and check if it works.

    1. open the Center to backup and restore by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking system and Maintenance, and then click backup and Restore Center.

    2. click on Advanced Restore Options. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

    3. click on files from a backup made on a different computerand then follow the steps.

  • format of the clock after upgrading to IOS 10

After the upgrade to IOS 10.0.2on my iphone 6 s the clock passed using two points using a format point.

Language and region are still like before upgrade: Norway.

I tried to change in various other regions which, to my knowledge, uses the same format of the clock, but there is still a point. Is there another way to change this?

    Hi, ferdinanden!

Thank you for reaching out by Apple Support communities. From your post, I understand that your clock is not displayed as expected in the iOS 10. Rather than see a colon, showing time as 07:32, you see just one point, displaying the time as 7.32. I would be happy to offer help!

There could be a few different things going on to cause this, and change your region has been a great first step to understand that and fixing it. Given that this did not help, try the following steps. Before you start, use this article to create a backup of your iPhone: How to back up your iPad, iPhone or iPod touch

    1. Replace it with another under settings > general > language and region. See if that allows you to adjust the way in which the clock is displayed. If so, revert to the language of your choice and see if she spends exactly the point again.
    2. Make sure that the value is automatically enabled under settings > general Date & time
    3. Restart your iPhone by following the steps here: restart your iPad, iPhone or iPod touch
    4. Reset your iPhone settings in settings > general > reset > reset all settings. This will not delete your personal data (such as your photos/videos, contacts, calendar of events, etc.) but it can reset it customizable settings (as the wallpaper / brightness, alert sounds/ringtones, the Date and time settings, etc.) to their default values. It will also remove saved passwords and Wi - Fi networks and all previously used settings APN or VPN.

    Have a great day!

  • Pages on issues of formatting to iCloud

    Hey everybody,

I created a document Pages using the Pages application on my macbook pro I downloaded then to iCloud Pages so that I can access it from any computer. The issue I'm having is that I formatted some of the text to have a black background and the text to yellow color. For the life of me I can't understand how to change the background color of text on the Pages of iCloud. I beginning to think that changing the background color of text just is not possible on the platform of iCloud, but wanted to put this out there just to make sure.

I appreciate any help or clarification on this issue.

    Thank you!

Background (highlight) text color controls are absent in the Pages for iCloud, because it is a subset of Pages for Mac.

This has been discussed in a previous post here, not so long ago.

  • Missing language format settings

Perhaps nobody noticed, but Apple have removed in Sierra and iOS 10 th possible to refine the language settings. In El Cap and before there is a 'Language of Format' parameter in the region and System Prefs/language / advanced.

Now I get dates like the 00/00/00 00/00-00 and not as month and day names are displayed in the language of the system and NOT on the language of the regions.

So in my case, the language of the system for Mac OS and iOS is EN but the region is set to Dutch. In the th is I had mints Dutch and the names of days displayed as well as the 00/00/00 a 00-00-00.

Please bring pulde for iOS and Mac OS settings.

P.S. many forums MacRumors etc. have noticed this issue too.

  • ITunes to Apple Lossless Format Question for 12.5.1.21

I recently repaired my Windows 10 64-bit OS and reinstalled iTunes (current version 12.5.1.21).  I noticed that you are no longer able to select a song file and store it as Apple Lossless file when right click on iTunes.  I found a choice in the 'Settings' menu that allows you to import songs in this format, but when I select "Add files to library" in the menu song file is not stored/converted to the Apple Lossless Format and remains in its original format of MP3.

Is it possible on this issue and why it is no longer available as an option when you work with the individual as file before?  Don't know what the thinking was behind it.

The functions Add a file/folder to the library have never included format conversions, the support files will always be added to your library in their original format.  If you select Apple Lossless as the default format for the import of CD, there will be a menu option (file > convert > create Apple Lossless version) you can use to perform such a conversion after importation (you'll end up with additional items in your library, the original files and those converted).  However, if your original files are mp3s it is absolutely unnecessary to convert them into Apple Lossless - you will get only the larger files with no improvement in audio quality.

  • Evil of the formats of date and currency in the Sierra

I'm on MacOS in English, but I want the region settings to reflect the country I live in.

After the passage of El Capitan in Sierra, date and currency formats broke. For example, if you set the region of Finland, the date format should be 26.9.2016 instead of 26/09/2016. Also the currency symbol must appear after the value, 4 €567,89 instead of €4 567,89.

Days of week and months are untranslated.

Have you checked the tab 'Advanced' for date and time formats?

Just after the upgrade, I found that the short format for the date has been reset to include slashes, whereas I had previously removed them.

My region is set to the Germany, but with the main system language set to English, the months and days of the week are in English. I can't find a way to change this.

  • How to advocate for regional change of short date format

This is something relatively trivial but annoying all the same, but I don't know where to go to advocate for change.

Have just updated for Sierra and one of the first things I notice is the addition of a point at the end of the month in short date format, i.e. 'September 19, 2016'.

"In Australia, as in the United Kingdom, the standard must not use this period - it should be just'19 Sep 2016", and in the past, that's how it appeared in OSX for the Australia. Don't know why the change.

This abbreviation is not replaceable by the user, so where can I go to provide appropriate feedback and I hope to have this problem on the track?

A solution is to make my default language and region of the United Kingdom, but do not know if there is a price to pay for it.

You can provide feedback to Apple asking them to change it:
