Black of saving scans on a D110a

Like many here, with the Mavericks, I can scan using the software just fine HP and see perfectly analysis.  However, when I try to save the scan, it is saved as a black page with horizontal white lines.  All the various messages about this problem are actually very old.

I am appalled to see why HP has not developed a solution to their software to fix the problem.  It's several months and nothing has been said or done to indicate that they care even the software problem.

I must say that the work around posted by an employee of HP using the Apple Prtinter/Scan preference option didn't work for me, only after that I played with the setting for a long time so he could do what I wanted to do.  So I thank her for that.  It solves an immediate need.

But, I bought the HP all-in-one and really only the HP software to be usable as it is supposed to be.  So I think that to do a set fix to the point and made it so very quickly... not that I'm demanding it will become... but looking at the problem existing since what 8 or more months and no fix developed!

Well, I had a chance to dig into it a little more away.  Please do not shoot the Messenger here, but what I found which is officially the level of support for your product on the Mavericks is limited to print and scan drivers which can be obtained via Apple Software Update.  The latest version of official "integral" solution software for the D110a provided than the Mountain Lion.  This is why there is a document provided on the product page D110a on hp.com that describes how to get the drivers from Apple.

For scanning, this implies that the Image Capture is the recommended scanning application, and the latest version of HP Scan you can get on the page to download your product is old enough (and so more likely to incompatibilities with the new technologies of operating system such as the Mavericks).

If you are not satisfied by the feature analysis provided by the Image Capture (or a preference overview page, or printer & Scanners) and an unsupported option that you might consider is to download and install the software for a new product like the Officejet 4630HP all-in-one.  Make sure that you select "HP Scan" in the Installation Options screen.  At the stage of the installation/configuration flow when you are prompted to select your printer 4630 to continue the installation, you can quit the installer because we look just to get the new software installed that has already taken place at this stage.  Your mileage may vary, but I hope that you can restore your ability to analyze with this new software.

  • Black screen when scanning with Officejet J6480

    Printer HP Officejet J6480 all-in-one, Windows 7 64-bit,

When I scan everything I get is a black screen. I ran the scan doctor and the report said everthing works properly. I don't get anything no matter how I run the scan. Can anyone help?

Nope.  This isn't a party that has been designed to be replaced.  I'm sorry.  You may be able to run again to do a reset full semi.  For your printer, make sure that the machine is under voltage and unplug the printer.  Keep it # and 6 keys on the keypad of the printer.  With the # and 6 key held down, plug the printer back in.  Once the lights come on, release the # and 6 key.  Be aware that to do a complete reset semi resets everything on the printer.  If this does not work, the only other option is to get a new one.  The last model that would be similar to what you would be the OfficeJet 6600 or 6700 OfficeJet.  Technical support may have another choice for printers reconditioned if you give them a call.

  • Adobe Acrobat XI Standard, black borders when scanning.

After scan legal-size in Adobe Acrobat XI Standard now each analysed document has black edges.  Looked at the options of using black border removal and drafting, but those who seem to be deleted/not available in standard XI.

Tried to uninstall and reinstall and black edges remain.

    Jarrod,

In case you face the question again, just set the parameter to scan by default by going to:

    1 file-> create a PDF from a scanner-> custom scan

    2. click on the button 'Options' and 'Interface Native of the Scanner Show' the value 'User Interface '.

    3. now, when you scan, it will show native of the scanner software. You can set the "Default" settings or look for an option "Removal of the border" on the tab "Image Processing" and turn it on

    Thank you

  • Black line copy/scan number Officejet 7500 has

OfficeJet 7500 has. When do face or scanning through feeding, copying or scanning has a vertical line from the top to the bottom, near the Center. When explorations or copies are made from the plateau, this line does not appear. We have cleaned the rollers and separator, but we always get this line in the middle. There is also no line when we print from the computer... Please advise as this is a brand new computer.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600 more: Saving scan to file, always asking to replace the existing file.

When I scan a document using the software on my computer, it asks to save it.  When I say yes, it saves it in a new folder I did. But he still wants to replace the existing analysis.  I want that each new scan to be named Scan0001, Scan0002 etc.  I want to keep a copy of all the scans I'm emailing them, or simply keep a copy on my computer.

I think I just found my own solution.  He has the ability to "see him save as dialog".  I think that it should be disabled.

  • Photoshop replaces pure black background saving in jpg format

The title says pretty much everything, but...

CS5.5, Windows 7 64-bit (just in case where that is necessary)

I have a PSD layered image.  A single layer is black (#000000).  I flatten the image and taste the black area, and it is always black.  I crop and resize the image - remains black.  I save as a jpg file, and when I reopen it the jpg, black is more pure - (#010101).  What gives?

It would seem that it was something to do with the compression/quality setting.  Facing up (on a hunch) and the problem disappeared.  =)

  • OfficeJet 5615 black stripes during the scan

My Officejet 5615 works perfectly, but in recent months, it shows black scratches on document scanned on the glass. Bands go for the length of the scanned page, and the glass is clean. I guess there is something wrong with the 'pixels/conduit' scanners. You are looking at him directly when it works I do not see the strange light differences between all the lights/pixels. Would it be the internal scanning module simply dirty on some lights? How can I disassemble the glass and have access to a scanner directly so I could clean it up? Thank you

    Hi eferrari,

I see you have found black bands when scanning.
I'll be happy to help you.

I checked the manual and it does not provide how to remove the glass from the printer, unfortunately.

Series of all-in-one HP Officejet 5600 User Guide.

Make sure that the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (do not use a hub or a surge protector)

Problem number one causing lines in the analyses.

I have provided a document through the steps to see if it will solve this problem.

Vertical stripes, lines or streaks on Copies, faxes or scans.

Do you get the lines when you perform a copy?

Try the ADF and glass to see the results.

I met this document for How to clean the Scanner glass. The document is good for different models.

Since there is no documentation for your printer probably, it is not recommended.

Use your own descreation. It might help you understand how to remove the glass to clean it.

If it has not the tab then it is probably sealed in it.

Personally, if it were me I wouldn't remove my printer.

You might want to consider appeal to HP, they may be able to offer you a discount on a newer model. Contact HP worldwide.

Thanks for posting on the HP Forums.
    Have a great day.

  • OfficeJet pro 8600 more: 2 black vertical line when scanning only

I get 2 vertical black lines while scanning using the ADF. This does NOT happen when you use flat bed scanning. Also, this does not happen with copies in the ADF or flat bed - scan only using the car power.

Not an expert on your device, but if you look on the side of the adf, where the paper feeds, you open the lid to the scanner glass is displayed.  Now on the left side is where the adf feed above to scan paper is on the side left where there will be some dirt or material causing lines.  Usually, you can take the copy that came out and line up so you can see the dots making line.  Sometimes, you need to use your nails to kind of scratch material out of the glass.  I usually rub really hard with some windex first, and if that does not work, I line up the and scrape the residue out of the glass.  Again, it will be on the left side of the window in an inch on the left side.

  • HP photosmart D110: document where scanned

I scanned a document of D110 on my Mac, but can't find where it is, can you help?

    Hey @park3,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I understand that you are looking for a document you have scanned from your D110a Photosmart e-all-in-one printer to your Mac OSX 10.11 computer. I can help you with that.

By default, the scans are saved in your Documents folder or one of its subfolders. If you can't find the document in the Documents, you will need to rescan the document.

Please let me know if that solves your problems. If so, please click on accept solution. If you appreciate my help, please click on the thumbs up icon. The two icons are below this post.

  • All-in-One copy vs functions Scan

What is the technical difference between the black copy function and the function of scan (Document to the printer setting) in HP-each when you print a black and white document?  Sometimes I have a HP Photosmart C6280 but imagine a similar software is used in most HP AIOs.  I use Windows XP SP3.

I noticed that get copies of the printed large document when you use the black copy.  We see no difference between the original and printed copy.  But when I take the same document and use the scan function, the default setting of "Document to the printer" in the HP Solution Center / HP scanning software, white background of the document comes out of gray in the scanned image and the printed document.  Tweak the parameters of scanning doesn't seem to help.  The default color is 'levels of gray.  Change the color to "black and white" setting worse image, even after the threshold adjustment.  This is also true when scanning to a file.

Curiously, Scanner of Windows XP and the Assistant camera produces images of a document scanned (no gray background) when you use the parameter "black and white picture or text.

It seems that two different sets of software are used by HP for scanning and copying, even if the two functions use the same scanner. Would be nice if HP Scanning can be configured to produce the same document, black and white, scanning of the results produced by the black and the scanner and Camera Wizard copy function.  Did I miss something on the purpose or the configuration of the scan function? Did you have a good black and white, scanning of the success with the HP Solution Center / HP Scanning?

    Thanks for ideas or experiences!

    Mark

I solved my problem with the help of HP technical support.  HP has a document entitled "Improvement of Scan quality," located at http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/buu00673

It is found by typing "Improvement of the quality Scan" in the search box on the HP support & drivers page.  The document is the first result in the list.

The second task of the document suggests recalibrate the all-in-one.  It was easy to make and done to correct my problem to get gray backgrounds on text scanned documents using the color to grayscale setting. The backgrounds are now in white, as it should.

The lesson I have remove this: always turn the all-in-one front to put the document to scan on the glass.

When you unplug the all-in-one to the power outlet and then plug it in again, the scanner to recalibrate automatically itself when it is turned on again with the power button.  If there is a document on the glass during calibration, recalibration may not work correctly, but you will not know.  All you know is that the scans you then will have quality problems!

Unfortionately there is no way to change the option of the façade. The only way to adjust the settings come from the computer. I'm sorry.
