Black screen after TV jump back and no tuners after S3 Sleep

Original title: MCE pesky bugs since the automatic update.

1. get black screen and no sound when to jump back TV is called three times when viewing digital TV in real time. Very consistent bug. TV files saved in back jump bug does not watch it. Bug began after the last automatic update a few weeks ago MCE. Timeline always moves OK. Must go out MCE and restart to get the picture back. Bug doesnotoccur when you watch TV or analog signals.

2 MCE reports occasionally have to find TV tuners again after waking from S3. Sometimes, that even after the hot start. But no hardware or software have evolved. No need to rescan the channels. MCE is invariably tuners (10 seconds), and then continues normally. All the latest drivers and updates have been installed. I think that this problem started after recent update MCE.

My system: Win7 x 86 homepage. Intel i3 550 CPU, 2 GB of RAM, 7164 PCIe TV, card > 1 TB disk space. The DTV Australia.

> Thanks - I've spent this long.
Thanks Barb.
I want to change my statement from the time of the MS update that broke the timeshift in MCE. I wrote "a few weeks" in my announcement on December 13. Then, I wrote "July" on 14 December. My partner is in agreement with my first memory and it is certain that he was not July, but a more recent problem is to say, late September or October. Sorry that I can not check the date from logs due made a clean installation in November.

    Michael,

After the update, go to power and all set options by default.

The update can change a parameter with power options.

    Do a hard reset.
    Turn off the computer.
Remove the power cable and battery.
Hold down the power button for 15 sec while booth energy sources are deleted.

This should reset the hardware in the computer.

That you put it on press the F10 key. This will load the BIOS setup utility.
Press F9 to load the default values.
Press F10 to save and exit.

When the computer starts up, check if everything is working.

I would like to know how everything goes.

  • HP G60 laptop: black screen after sleep or hibernate Windows10

Since upgrading from Windows 7 to Windows 10, the laptop displays a black screen after the sleep or hibernate modes.  The system seems to be commissioning (HDD, fan action), but no video.  The system boots normally cold trouble-free starting.  Never, there is this problem with Windows 7.

    Hi @Bobby876,

Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A place where you can find solutions for your problems with the help of the community!

I stumbled upon your post on the laptop and wanted to help you! I looked in your question about your HP G60 laptop and problems with the mode "sleep" after the update to Windows 10. I recommend to restore the default BIOS settings. You could restore the BIOS with this document by selecting the reload the default BIOS settings. In this way, it will look at the hardware installed on your laptop.

    You can try:

In Device Manager, click the arrow

next to display adapters to expand this category
Right-click on the graph, and then select Update driver software if more than 1 graphic adapter do 1 at a time.
Select search automatically for updated driver software.

The laptop must find and automatically install the updated driver
Once the installation is complete, restart your laptop.

You can try to use the Windows Update Troubleshooter to fix updates that do not come through Windows 10.  Please restart the laptop twice to make sure that all updates are completed!

Please let me know how it goes.

    Thank you.

  • Corrupt BIOS V5 531 Acer black screen after startup, f2 and f12 also. Repairable?

    Hello

Yesterday I tried to install Win 7 if I could play D & D Neverwinter on Arc after using * nix systems study (looking to start a career as an administrator). I had plugged into a power strip that was, unbeknownst to me, turned off and I went to make coffee and watch some news. When I came back to check the progress of my laptop was powered off and since then I havn't been avle start without being blocked at a black screen after the start page of the bios. The f2 and f12 also leads to a black screen, I can not change the boot device or enter the bios Setup.

Is - fixable at all? For example, is the a key-combo, I can use it to restore from a backup bios? Or, do I have to bring in a technician who can install a new chip bios or flash this old some how? Or did I brick pemanently my device?

V1.22 is what you want to be part of a unit of Windows 7.

The problem is if it crashed during the upgrade process, it will take some special tools clearly on the chip on the MB and recharge it with a new BIOS. I would contact your local support team to see what options are available.

  • At the end of the factory restore, but black screen after "Windows has set up the computer.

The model in question is VC863AA #UUW

I want to get back the computer to the factory condition, so I rebooted and you press F11. Everything went exactly like this: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00814731#N72 (chapter "Start a restore from the hard drive and the computer is off")...

.. until step 10, which States:

"The computer restarts and continues in the installation of Windows. Complete the configuration screens and wait until the computer finishes the installation program. "Then turn off the computer, reconnect all devices and turn on the computer.

Yes, the computer restarts. She continues in the Windows installation (it says "medan windows konfigurerar datorn Vanta", which means roughly "Please wait while Windows configures the computer"). After that which was for about 5-10 minutes, the text disappears and the computer restarts by itself.

After that, he gives a normal load Windows Vista bar and after that black screen. It seems to be a little bit alive but jammed somehow. If I let it be for several hours, he goes to the standby mode. If I wake up, he still won't. I can plug a USB another keyboard and he will make some access to hard drive (load a driver probably). I can press the sleep button and it will go into sleep mode. But if I press the power button / stop briefly, it will NOT stop.

So finally, after several hours I forced to shut down (by pressing the power button / stop longer). When I start it, it goes back to behave as explained in the previous paragraph.

If I press F8 during startup and select Safe mode, it goes in safe mode and I get dialogue indicating in Finnish:

«Asenna Windows: Windows ei voi suorittaa vikasietotilassa asennusta.» See devam fenetresdans asennusta uudelleen tietokoneen kaynnistamalla. »

    Rough translation:

"Installation of Windows: Windows cannot complete installation in safe mode." "You can continue the installation by restarting the computer.

If I restart the computer, it goes back to the black screen after the windows loading bar.

This suggests that there is something in the installation of Windows who jams it.

I can install Windows Vista from a Vista DVD, but then I can't use the software included with the computer. (App States installation cannot install on a machine that is unauthorized, then of course they are looking for some OEM HP things.)

Any suggestions on how to fix jam that continues with installing Recovery Windows or how to install the software on a normal Vista would be very appreciated.

I solved the problem. Good thing I didn't order the restore disks, because that would not have solved the problem.

I decided to post it because I don't know there will be others who have HP Pavilion Elite m9754sc and will have to face this problem of a black screen after the restoration.

The fact is that the restore worked perfectly, but in this display card driver is buggy and it causes the screen to go black.

I thought that what I installed fresh Vista which worked until I installed the driver from the recovery partition display. I tried VGA, outputs HDMI and DVI on the factory installed GeForce GT220 and none worked.

A defective display driver should normally be no problem we could go in safe mode and fix it to the it. But as with the recovery goes to pre install state (ask what language to use etc.), safe mode does not work.

So the solution is to unlock the display of the motherboard connectors and remove the factory installed GeForce GT220. Once the recovery and installation of Windows is finished using the graphics card integrated motherboards, you can reconnect the GeForce GT220 and get a updated driver with safe mode.

  • Aspire R7 572 G having a black screen after windows update 8.1. What should I do

    Hi all

IM wondering, anyone having this problem before, Im of the problems with this black screen after startup, it happened yesterday I think microsoft needs to have updated some drivers rendering my black screen after startup. Initially, I thought it was my SSD, but it turns out that I can't get into Safe Mode.

I read more info on this problem related to the other PC and try the preferred method of 'disabling' drivers Intel GMA HD. It worked, however, this means that the main driver is now reduced to a graphics card video standard with vram limited.

I tried to roll back and even redownloading and reinstalling the intel driver in version VGA_Intel_9.18.10.3215. The blackscreen after boot have yet taken place. I missed something?

This is an old version of Intel drivers.

Try this, after uninstalling the old pilot Intel:

  • Black screen after the windows login

Hi, I have a HP Pavilion DV7 notebook with Windows 7 Home Premium installed on it. A problem I've noticed is that, once I connect to windows during a boot, the screen is black for about 1-2 minutes. After awhile, explorer.exe would with desktop, taskbar and icons. I am concerned about this 1 to 2 minutes of black screen after the boot as it did not exist previously. I know I have options such as restoring the computer laptop back to the default state, or by using the system restore. However, I don't want to lose all my stuff, and with respect to the restoration of the system, I'm not sure when the problem happening, as it was some time ago. I have read a Microsoft article, (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/why-is-my-screen-black-when-i-start-windows-7) and tried all the steps with the graphics card and the regestry, but nothing seems to work.

-Task Manager is able to open when the screen is black (shows explorer.exe running)

-J' have the drivers on the HP support site

-laptop is HP Pavilion DV7 3024ca

You will need to login using the method of trial and error. Please uncheck all of the MSCONFIG Startup tab and restart the system. If the black screen issue is resolved, then check out an application every time and restart the system. This will help you to identify the program interfere.

  • Black screen after the attempt to upgrade to windows 10

I was trying to upgrade windows 7 on a laptop HP Windows 10. The first attempt was via the white windows logo in the taskbar. This attempt was interrupted, probably accidentally turned off the button wifi trying to move the computer. The second time I tried to use windows ten upgraded Installer. I did the usual download and installed up to 99%. He remained on the installation of 99% during the night and the next morning without change. I turned off the computer and he made a series of updates before shutting down for good. When it starts again, it has a black screen but the cursor is there and movable. I tried in safe mode for the repair and restoration of the system, but it did not work. I tried to reset the BIOS to default, but does not. I try to leave the computer turned off for an extended period of time disconnected from the internet to see if that helps. The last attempt to start, windows 7 seems to start but then ends up on the black screen and I held down the power button to stop it. I'd rather upgrade to windows 10 if possible, but if cannot then if can go back to windows 7 will be enough. It worked great on Windows 7 before trying to upgrade, so there is no problems with the computer.

    Hi Chris,

I'll be happy to help you with the problem you have with black screen.

  • Black screen after the notation in Windows 8

Title screen: black original after logon (windows 8)

I have lock my Dell M4400 (windows + L) and close the cover, after leaving for about 5 minutes. And to come back and connect on my laptop that my office shows about 1 min, then my screen turns black.

It happens every time, I lengthen windows, my display drivers but nothing helped.
This started happening about 3 days ago, so I went back in time for a week, but it's always the same.
Someone has an idea to solve this problem?
Edit: now it does to wake from its slumber, the clean is when I cut the power or the hardshutdown. The screen remains black even after a couple of try tot restart the laptop. Im getting Desperate now.

I tried to make the window & window + R, C. They simply do not work. The only thing I can do a window + L & Ctrl + Alt + Delete. I opened my computer by using the Windows Task Manager. With my computer, I opened Google Chrome and I'm typing this now with a black screen Google Chrome, Windows Explorer and Windows Task Manager.

Task Manager, go to file > new task.

RSTRUI put in and this should start the system restore.

Choose a restore point a few days before this problem if it is available and you should be good to go.

  • Black screen after the Bootcamp

I just installed a Windows 10 drive to my mac pro end 2012 book. I had some problems when the bootcamp says "cannot copy files of windows (or something like that). However, finally I managed to resolve each of them, the windows of the files have been successfully copoed, and after that I chose to give my windows system 230 G and 270 G for my macbook pro.

I clicked the button installed, waited a few seconds and the laptop computer just restarted (or close) by itself. It is automatically activated a white screen (which happens all the time when I turn it on). He stayed like that RPF about 5 minutes, and then it turned out to be just black. I mean by dark black, because I can still see a bit of light coming out of the screen. After that, nothing has changed.

I have my USB connected since all this time and my energy plug. In my view, it is connected to the wifi too, but my mac remained black screen at least an hour and a half so far.

Is this normal? I watched a youtube video, and he says that he will take a few minutes for the windows logo appears, which is certainly not the case. Im very worried right now: well I reboot by pressing the power button? Should I continue to wait? It's really frustrated. And please ignore the grammar errors that I may have made.

Please leave a comment if you know what the problem is or if you know how to solve this problem, much appreciated! < 3

    Welcome to Apple Support communities

The only thing you can do at this stage is to shut down your Mac. Then, after having turned it on again, hold down the ALT key until you see all available for your MacBook bootable disks, so you should see an option with a drive labeled as "Windows" USB icon Choose and let Windows install load, so you no longer have to follow the steps. Do not forget to keep the USB with Windows install is plugged.

If you don't see the USB as a bootable disk, and then the Windows Installer may be damaged or your MacBook Pro does not support a USB drive installation.

I presume that the BIOS is doomed. What you need is a professional help with this then contact the nearest service provider and ask for help.

By the way: check this forum using the advanced search option. In the past, I have seen several interesting discussions on BIOS recovery. I m quite skeptical on this subject but maybe you will be lucky and find the solution.
