Black screen, no going back to windows 7 Windows 10 no cursor

I don't have a black screen, no cursor and can't seem to get anything to work including F8!

I was going to go back to windows 7 Windows 10 I have an error message or anything like that? Any ideas? With the black screen, I can't get into safe mode or roll back, either to another date?

  • I just got a black screen with "this copy of Windows is not genuine".

Original title: OS not real question?

Well, I bought a computer off Craig's list this week. Yes, I know this isn't the safest place to get a computer, but what's done is done. The current operating system of the computer is Win7. However I just got the black screen with "this copy of Windows is not genuine". I looked at the back of the computer and saw that he has a real sticker Win XP Pro. So is there anyway I can just download XP Pro on this computer and be good from there?

    Thank you

Check with the manufacture of the computer to see if you have a "recovery partition" and how to use it to restore XP or if they still have the support of Windows XP available with they can send you to usually a small fee.

    Hello Kiwivic,

    Thank you for the question!

I'm sorry to know that have problems you with the Installation of Windows 8. As I understand it, you get a black screen during the Installation of Windows 8.

I need to ask you some questions to help you best.

    1. What is the brand and model of the computer?

2 are the external devices connected to the computer?

Method 1: disconnect any external devices (except keyboard and mouse) and then install Windows 8 and check.

Method 2: Select the edge device devices in device/integrated graphic of BIOS (Basic Input output device) and check.

So get a black screen after BIOS and before the Windows logon screen. I checked the RAM and one on two RAM sticks that was bad. But I still have the black screen. I tried an external monitor but still a black screen. I tried all the normal things (verification of the restore point disc, e.g. via the command prompt, startup repair, etc.) and no luck. I ran a test to check the hard drive, and it is impossible to find the hard drive. But then I ran AVG anti-virus, the AVG Live (bootable CD) and at the very start gave me this error: 106 error to the power of disk on life: 8768 (365 days + 8 hours) and underneath were basically the same error, just different numbers. But it still allowed me to run a scan and he was going through the files ok so she did not see the hard drive and files (contrary to the test of hard drive and yes the hard drive test was a bootable cd of same manf. like the hard drive), he found no virus. Even when I ran Defender in offline mode. Then I tried to re - install the operating system on the same drive with a cd. When he was going through the first part of the establishment where it was drivers and so forth: I kept getting the BSOD. Then I took the drive from the laptop and install it in another laptop but she has done the same thing, black screen, so I thought it was the hard drive. But then I begin another hard drive from the laptop and put it in the laptop original and he gave me the black screen and I know that the hard drive was good, she was an operating system that starts when I put it in the not troubled laptop. So any ideas anyone? Would it be possible that the all three things at once: RAM and hard drive laptop motherboard? Any help would be appreciated. Yet once, bios starts, just to Gets a black screen and does nothing after the bios but before the windows logon. The operating system is Vista and it is a Dell laptop, Studio. Any ideas?

    Huh, that's news...

You can try Firefox in Safe Mode to see if the problem goes away. I think that it is an extension.

    • Run firefox.exe - safe-mode in the search bar in the Start Menu. (Make sure Firefox is closed)

Have you added new extensions recently around the time this started happening? The details of your system displays the following:

  • Black screen after the notation in Windows 8

Title screen: black original after logon (windows 8)

I have lock my Dell M4400 (windows + L) and close the cover, after leaving for about 5 minutes. And to come back and connect on my laptop that my office shows about 1 min, then my screen turns black.

It happens every time, I lengthen windows, my display drivers but nothing helped.
This started happening about 3 days ago, so I went back in time for a week, but it's always the same.
Someone has an idea to solve this problem?
Edit: now it does to wake from its slumber, the clean is when I cut the power or the hardshutdown. The screen remains black even after a couple of try tot restart the laptop. Im getting Desperate now.

I tried to make the window & window + R, C. They simply do not work. The only thing I can do a window + L & Ctrl + Alt + Delete. I opened my computer by using the Windows Task Manager. With my computer, I opened Google Chrome and I'm typing this now with a black screen Google Chrome, Windows Explorer and Windows Task Manager.

Task Manager, go to file > new task.

RSTRUI put in and this should start the system restore.

Choose a restore point a few days before this problem if it is available and you should be good to go.

    Hello

I noticed that the video playback for videos (with a resolution of portrait, specifically 720 x 1280, appear black with audio being heard in Windows Media Player 12 (WMP 12) on Windows 7.  A Playbook has been used to capture video to the resolution of portrait.  I also noticed that if the Playbook capture resolution 1280 x 720 of the landscape, the video plays fine in WMP 12, so I know it is not a Codec problem and seems to be related to the dimensions of the video picture.

The same portrait videos can be read normally with VLC and other video player applications.  Is this a known problem or limitation with WMP 12 on Windows 7?

    Thank you

    RS

P.S. as an aside, Playbook captures video in MPEG-4 AVC video Codec and Audio MPEG-1 layer 2 Audio Codec format.

    Hello Rami,

Thanks for posting your question in the Microsoft community.

I understand that whenever you play a video (720 x 1280) Portrait format, it shows a black screen.

  • Crash black screen on DirectX games in Windows 7

First of all, if you take the time to read this... Thank you in advance. I realize it's not easy. If its in the wrong place please move, but I don't know what is causing the problem...

I'm fighting a recurring problem on the PC of my son for some time. I'm quite known in customized versions and have never had a problem persisting who me before perplexed.

There used to be an old Intel Q9650 system based on an ASUS P5B Deluxe/WiFi-AP mobo. 8 GB ram Corsair XM3, OC secondary disk of 60 GB SSD and seagate 500 GB, card Nvidia, Silent-Pro 550w PSU 295GTX.

The system would, on some games and after certain periods of time to a black screen crash, sometimes with a sound loop. All temperatures were within normal limits as the Arctic Pro CPU cooler and other fans were good Setup. The PSU has been good and tested in other platforms and toggled to eliminate information. The worst games were Napoleon Total War and Balanced Annihilation running on the engine of spring... this one is interesting because it's a mouse on the plan of the GPU/CPU power it takes. A true end bottom of the game.

Pilots were all to date and tested OK memory with memtest. I ran several programs benchtest to push/stresstest the CPU and GPU and they crashed at all.

Tried to exchange the components of my PC as memory, graphics card, PSU, and the problem still persisted.

Finally, I said enoughs enough, and we bought him new components.

    We currently have the following

    Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (6.1, Build 7600)
    Card mother Gigabyte GA-H67A-UD3H
    Intel Core i5-3450 CPU @ 3.10 GHz (4 CPUs), ~3.4GHz
    8192 MB Corsair RAM XM3
OCZ 60 GB SATA-2 HARD drive
    NVIDIA 570GTX
    Silent POWER Pro 750W PSU

The only bits I brough of the old system are the memory (tested and OK), SSD and it connects to the TV/monitor even.

And of course the problem persists. The black screens after 2-3 minutes on all directX games, more L4D2. System has all the latest drivers.

Now here's the interesting bit of, I found a game that is completely unaffected by the issue, Unreal 2004... .it is pure coincidence but this game has no problem at all... works very well never fails, all set to full... coincidence? I do not. Isn't this game in OpenGL? I'm sure that his few misenoma DirectX?

I have tried everything I can think about, all the same tests were executed and Im totally stumped. I don't see the point in sending to a store to get some bull * so here I turn to the community for help... then... Help!

Any necessary additional information I can post. Please let me know if you have people from the idea and thank you.

Try installing the latest nvidia drivers. During installation, you are given the opportunity to do a clean install when it first deletes all traces of previous drivers or programs related to nvidia.

When you perform the installation, just install video drivers, sound and physx and return to view the results.

You talked about the tv/monitor, which is it, a TV or monitor? If it comes to a TV, it could be a problem of refresh rate?

You say you traded to memory, but how did you manage to get DDR2 memory from your old computer to a new motherboard that uses DDR3?

    Hello

Check your drivers manaully and also seek programs of control of the video camera that could
be separated on the manufacturer's website if there is one any of them.

This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system. For
each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver, description,.
version, product name, company that created the driver and more.
    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - Device Manager - Display Adapter - note the brand and complete model of your
video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now click on UPdate Driver (this
cannot do anything as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then do a right click - Uninstall - REBOOT
This will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party with their
own the software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now go to the site of the manufacturer of system (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) (restoration) and then of the manufacturer of the device
(Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for the BIOS, Chipset and software)
updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - tab drivers version you install actually shows up. This
because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (particularly that audio drivers) so install a
pilot - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat if necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW on device at the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER - manually check by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

How to install a device driver in Vista Device Manager
    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/193584-Device-Manager-install-driver.html

If you update the drivers manually, then it's a good idea to disable the facilities of driver in the Windows updates,
This leaves ONE of Windows updates, but it will not install the drivers who are generally older and cause
questions. If updates offers a new driver and then hide it (right click on it) and then go look for new ones
    manually if you wish.

  • Problems by going back to Windows 7 of 10

I was on Windows 7 Home premium and upgraded to Windows 10. He removed from Google Chrome and some of my passwords, has been so slow, that it was practically dead, that I kept getting Oops messages because he could not access the websites and finally kept 'crashing' when I tried to type a message on EBay. About 4 days, I decided to go back to Windows 7. He deleted Windows 10 and closed, then began to say something like "Microsoft is loading files", after a while, I got a message saying that he was unable to restart the computer (laptop) and offered several checks I could do, which none worked. As soon as I changed the laptop on I kept getting the message downloading files and always ending with the computer restarts. I could not turn it on and go to the control panel or access anything. In frustration I took it to a 'computer shop '. I have it be perceived today and told me that I have been upgraded to Windows 7 Professional. I got home to find that everything has been erased, pictures. documents, downloads, files, and most of the project of a book I was writing. I reinstalled Google Chrome and have found a lot of my previous sites/research etc., but the most important things are missing. (I intend to take the laptop to the store tomorrow but one) I need to know my info can be retrieved and b) what went wrong
