Black screen (non-responsive) AT100 after 2 days while on the current

I love this small unit, but the last 3 months I have experienced a total blocking if I leave the unit from the mains and let it go to sleep. After a few days I can not wake him up. Power light flashes, battery light comes on and the wireless light is orange. To return to the life that I have to crack the case and remove the battery. I think it's a question of OS, so I included some info below. Hoping someone can enlighten us.

See you soon.

Android version is 4.0.4.03.000081316

Don t think its problem of system.
In which case it would be a system problem, reset the device should help repair.

You will need to reset the device, press and hold the power button / Stop button volume up.
Then you should get a menu offering options including resetting the system.
Choose this option to reset the unit.

Good luck

My system worked properly on 25 April and then something happened and now the machine comes back with "Start menu options" but will not start in one of the listed options, modes result in the same outcome.  System also starts on the Vista CD.

System begins to boot normally, shows the tracer Green Windows at the bottom of the screen, then the mouse pointer appears and moves but the rest of the screen remains black.

That's it, that's all what he will do.  I checked the settings of the computer and ran the diagnostic tests available and everything seems to go fine and passes all the tests.

I worked on my own computers for over 20 years and never been stumped before, but I must say this is a first, and I have no idea what to try to do it now.

    Help or direction is appreciated.

original title: Vista 64-bit Black Screen of Death, with just a mobile available slider, the system does not start in safe mode.

See if there is a way to tecover clean your data before doing a restore to conditions of factory that will wipe the drive of all.  You can use Knoppix http://www.knopper.net/knoppix/index-en.html with a good ISO as Copier: http://isorecorder.alexfeinman.com/isorecorder.htm as well as a blank CD (which you will need to do on another computer).  Starting on this disc and lla should give you enough access to the system (if you do not have any other means) to backup your important data.

So since you seem to have no other alernatives, you can try retoring the original factory computer options. However, if it is a hardware problem as could very well be the case, you can still encounter problems after even this drastic step.  Then you will need to consider in a reputable computer repair shop (NOT Geek Squad or or a any of these big store centers) or maybe even go back to the manufacturer for repair.   Check out several options and compare the costs, quality and guaranteed and then make your best decision.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • Black screen with blinking cursor after the passage in MSC mode

I followed the recommendation to disable startup secure in the Bios then move the UEFI Bios to the CSM. But when I go to set up what I see is a black screen with a stable cursor in it. And it doesn t go in the Bios.

    The black screen remains.
I turn off the laptop and once again now, but I still have a black screen with a cursor that is stable and that s it.

It's like that and it doesn t go to windows even go into the Bios, I can t.
    What should I do?

    Help, please...

    Hello

After the passage of the CSM and disabling secure boot UEFI mode, you will not be able to boot from the HARD disk as the installation of Windows 8 requires secure boot and the mode of the UEFI.

Now you can boot from the disc or other media bootable (USB flash key) to install the Windows 7 system.

I guess you've made these changes installed Windows 7. Right?

By the way: what model of laptop you have exactly?

  • Computer won't turn on completely (black screen with blinking cursor) after installing windows updates

8/7, the following updates have been installed correctly:

Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1 and the .NET Framework 3.5 Family Update (KB951847) x 86

Update definition for Windows Defender - KB915597 (definition 1.63.1021.0)

Following this installation, the display resolution has been reset to be very low.  When you try to reset the resolution, I was alerted to a driver problem, so tried installing this in vain (below error code)

Intel Corporation - display - Intel (r) G33/G31 Express Chipset Family

    Error details: Code 800703E3

After that, he went to sleep the computer, but was unable to select 'sleep' (it is grayed out) but the stop keys option indicates that the updates were ready to install so I stop thinking which may help.  It was last night.  This morning, the computer was on, seen the screen DELL, then a black screen with flashing white cursor in the upper left corner.  I tried ctrl-alt-del, got the dell screen appears again, then black screen.  I tried ctrl-alt-del, thinking I could try one of the options key F at this time, but he won't even go to this point, the dell blank screen just screen.

Any ideas would be very appreciated!  It is the second major problem that I had recently after updates vista install (the last time I temporarily lost access to all my files, because they were placed under a temporary user account that had been created!)

    Thank you!

We need the DMP file because it contains the single record of the sequence of events that led to the accident, what drivers have been loaded, and what has been loaded.

    If you are overclocking STOP

You may be able to get the DMP files without crashing by booting in SafeMode (F8) with networking.

  • Inspiron 3437 black screen on wake-up after update 8.1

    Hi guys,.

I recently bought this dell inspiron 3437 and windows update to 8.1.

After the update, the screen remains black if the laptop has been in mode 'sleep' for more of, say, a few minutes.

I read that it is a common problem after update to 8.1 windows, but I have not found a solution that works for my laptop.

    Any ideas on that?

Update: yesterday I returned to windows 8, assuming that the 8.1 caused this problem.
However, I get a black screen on wake up again and I have to do a hard reset.

Edit: went back to 8.1 so that I could install this driver from Intel. Why is it not a standard update or in the support section of the driver dell?
    https://Downloadcenter.Intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?AGR=Y&DwnldID=23323&keyword=4400+graphics+driver&DownloadType=drivers&lang=eng

Edit 2: AAARGH, who has not yet set... After a few hours of sleep he still would not wake up properly.
So, I choose not to let my laptop to sleep, instead I leave it hibernation.

I have changed this in the poweroptions. Just put everything to hibernate instead of sleep (so when the lid is closed, when you press the powerbutton).
It takes a few seconds extra for the laptop to wake up (but still quite fast, less than 10 seconds), but at least the screen comes alive.

PS. Sorry for all the dubble posts suite thisone. Assume that something went wrong yesterday.

  • Re: Black screen on Satellite P300 after removing the SD card

    Hello @ community!

    I had a P-300-21Z. 1 month.
Last time I got the shot screen SD card in black and never returned to normal...

The PC works fine on the external screen...
I can see what is on the computer laptop screen at the back but is almost completely black...

My guess is it is the lamp of the screen burned!

    What do you think?

    Thank you.

    > I can see what is on the computer laptop screen at the back but is almost completely black...
    Sounds like an inverter problem.

The FL inverter (very small part behind the screen frame) is responsible for the backlight of the screen and it controls the backlight.
If the FL inverter will start to malfunction, then you would see everything as behind a fog of ticks, I think this is your case

I recommend contacting ASP which would be able to help you.
The P300 notebook is not very old, and I think the warranty to be valid.

  • black screen w/flashing (dos prompt that usually work) at the corner of L/H.

I have a D-610 from Dell with windows XP, when I turn on the computer, the printer Dell flash screen appears and then goes to a black screen with a flashing on corner top l/h. I tried to boot into safe mode, nothing works. I ran diagnostics, no help.

I decided to run a repair of XP Cd and restart, the same thing. The machine was working fine until my daughter it off last night. Ideas, any help would be appreciated.

    It's really a common problem.

"Off" means using the power instead of a normal shutdown button?

I start in the XP Recovery Console and run a chkdsk /r on the system first to make sure that the file system is not afflicted.

Start in the XP Recovery Console is not the same as starting on any system or recovery CD which might come with your system.

If that didn't change things, I would then run fixmbr, but since you have a Dell, which would replace the customized Dell Master Boot Record If it exists (maybe there's not a MBR custom Dell or maybe it's OK for you).

The Master Boot Record, it's giving you a bit of your startup options and sometimes Dells have things installed on the hard drive as a bootable recovery, a diagnostic partition partition, etc. and if you run fixmbr, you lose those.

If you run fixmbr/fixboot, which would put everything on the news of XP, and you would not be able to use the Dell boot options again.

Maybe it's okay with you, or maybe you do not have them at all.

But, now that you've tried to fix it, things get more complicated.

If you have some personal data out there, you can save somewhere outside of a USB device or a place like this before continuing.  There are a variety of methods to do so.

You could also post your question on the Dell Community and see what they have to say.

When Support of Dell people do not know what is happening, they will usually tell you that you need to reinstall your XP from scratch, but I never do.

The Dell company sometimes has good ideas, but they are hard to find and sometimes their "experts" seem to have ideas that are less useful than here (if possible!).

  • Black screen with cursor when connecting Windows 7. Reinstall the drivers doesn't help not.

I have a Windows 7 Pro machine that boots to a black screen with a cursor instead of the login prompt, but if I press some keys like enter and tab that I will get a few blue squares where probably windows are appearing.

I can boot into safe mode and log in. I can then disable or uninstall the video card and the boot into normal windows. But if I install the Intel to the HD3000 integrated video drivers, the black screen will be there waiting for me when I reboot.

I tried with and without external monitors connected.

I tried to uninstall the drivers in the menu programs and features (also selection to completely remove the drivers), and I uninstalled them through Device Manager. I then reboot before installing the Intel drivers again. I tried the version on the site Web of Panasonic, as well as the latest version of the Intel Web site. Results have been the same every time.

Are there left behind somewhere that I could try to remove registry keys? Perhaps a more thorough removal method? Something more creative? All ideas welcome!

    Hi Brian,.

According to the information that you, as you can start your computer in safe mode without problem, then the problem is probably with the supplied driver. Since the installation of the driver is causing the problem to occur, one possible cause is a driver you want to install is not compatible with the system. We suggest that you contact the manufacturer of your computer for help on installing the correct driver for your PC.
