Black screen startup melody and repeated mac.

Hello

I have an iMac 27' with 8 GB of ram i7 processor and model 2010 with operating system software most recent.

Two weeks ago, when I press start button I listen to the melody of classic mac startup will be repeated and the screen is still black. Nothing more. It is repeated and repeated when I manually close my iMac.

You can not press cmd + R or something else.

I try to disconnect the decision-making, disconnect all usb and fireware devices but nothing. The problem is the same.

Anyone knows anything to help me?

Thank you

It looks like a hardware problem. You can try to start inSafe Mode.

  • Get a black screen BIOS afer and before Windows logon

So get a black screen after BIOS and before the Windows logon screen. I checked the RAM and one on two RAM sticks that was bad. But I still have the black screen. I tried an external monitor but still a black screen. I tried all the normal things (verification of the restore point disc, e.g. via the command prompt, startup repair, etc.) and no luck. I ran a test to check the hard drive, and it is impossible to find the hard drive. But then I ran AVG anti-virus, the AVG Live (bootable CD) and at the very start gave me this error: 106 error to the power of disk on life: 8768 (365 days + 8 hours) and underneath were basically the same error, just different numbers. But it still allowed me to run a scan and he was going through the files ok so she did not see the hard drive and files (contrary to the test of hard drive and yes the hard drive test was a bootable cd of same manf. like the hard drive), he found no virus. Even when I ran Defender in offline mode. Then I tried to re - install the operating system on the same drive with a cd. When he was going through the first part of the establishment where it was drivers and so forth: I kept getting the BSOD. Then I took the drive from the laptop and install it in another laptop but she has done the same thing, black screen, so I thought it was the hard drive. But then I begin another hard drive from the laptop and put it in the laptop original and he gave me the black screen and I know that the hard drive was good, she was an operating system that starts when I put it in the not troubled laptop. So any ideas anyone? Would it be possible that the all three things at once: RAM and hard drive laptop motherboard? Any help would be appreciated. Yet once, bios starts, just to Gets a black screen and does nothing after the bios but before the windows logon. The operating system is Vista and it is a Dell laptop, Studio. Any ideas?

  • Black screen startup repair, Windows 7 cursor

After installation of about 25 updated today, my Windows 7 Ultimate Boot Camp partition on my 9.1 iMac no longer boot Windows. I think there could be a problem due to a video card driver updated, although I have no way of knowing if a driver has been updated.

I use the Startup Repair tool, but I have a black screen with no cursor. I got the text screen to enter the startup as well as the Windows logo for a short period after this repair. When I put my ear close to the computer, I could hear the disk being accessible so I guess the Startup Repair did something, but now when I listen to it I can hear the fans. I started about 90 minutes ago the Startup Repair.

My question is how can I find out when the Startup Repair tool is completed? Will it automatically reboot the machine, or wait for the user to input after it ended? Use mouse input any required or can I do blindly using the keyboard?

Also, is it possible I could get Windows starts in Mode safe? This way I could isolate any problem with the video card drivers. There is no option to start in Safe Mode, when I turned on the machine. Note that because I use a Mac, I don't have the BIOS screens, I UEFI which, on Mac, gives only a choice of which partition to boot from.

I need is no longer an answer for this.

    Here's what I did:

I turned off the computer using the switch after 2.5 hours of startup repair and checking that I could not even hear the disk being accessed... Windows would not start again. I started in El Capitan (Mac OS X) and installed the rEFInd Boot Manager. I rebooted the machine, intending to try to fix it from a floppy disk, bootable USB Win 7 Ultimate, but selected by mistake partition Boot Camp and Windows started normally.

The only thing I can think of that changed is that I installed rEFInd, but I don't know why, it would make a difference.

  • Black screen when closing and activating/deactivating my admin user account - Vista Business 32 bit

    Hello

I just formatted and reinstalled Vista Business, I noticed a slow anomaly at the start of my laptop, when my user account on my admin account (I have a black screen for 5 sec). On the contrary, my Admin on my user account, this can take up to 15 sec. During this time of waiting, I have only a black screen (no dekstop).

1 KSOD (not sure it is) during startup, slow to start (in my case, windows logon and the user interface with 'Welcome' appeared)
2 KSOD by logging into my account (before appearing the dekstop)
3 KSOD when my account is closed
4 KSOD when I change to another account, that is to say, of the user account to the account admin (KSOD for more than 15 sec)

Programs at startup: no Autoruns, Rollback Rx, Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (my graphics driver), Hitman Pro

    Thanks for your help!

    Hello Ramaflore,

If I understand correctly, you saw this black screen problem before a format.  After format and reinstall Windows, you still see the behavior of the black screen.

    This means two things:

    1. There is a program that was previously installed and has been reinstalled and that is the cause.
    2. The hardware is at fault.

We will perform a clean boot to remove all third-party software startup that can interfere with the normal operation of the machine:

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

Secondly, I would recommend running the diagnostics of equipment provided by your manufacturer.

    Let us know.

  • Satellite L300D - black screen but powers and FN light answer

Hi, I have my friend L300D that is given to me to be fixed. I'm not a technician, but the kind of interested in the business of fixing :)

Recently laptop screen just went black.

    Symptoms:
-Laptop power on when you press the power button, but nothing coming screen.
-Caps lock does not respond when you press him.
-No hard drive light not flashing.
-Power LED light and adapter lights up constantly.
-Caps lock flashes once the first second
-Laptop seems to continue to run with black screen but does restart or turn off.
-Fan turns and no problem of heat.
-Laptop can always power off when you you press power button for 5 seconds.
-Is no beep or display any changes then from these modules removed from ram.

He looks dead to me, but fortunately, it's not quite dead because the FN button seems blinking light under the F10 key. It is the only evidence that I have on this laptop telling me that it is not quite dead.

I tried to put the latest bios file in a floppy 1.44 MB fat16 formatted in a usb floppy drive and the f key down before I plug in the charger, but still no change. I also tried B of WIN, the FN B, WIN ESC, the FN ESC.

Please can someone give me some advice.

    Hello

For me, it looks like serious hardware problem.
What you can do is to test the device with an external monitor:
Connect the external display and check if you see something like start screen for Toshiba, etc if you see something like that, then internal laptop screen is defective and must be replaced if not if nothing would seem-> the related problem of the motherboard.

  • HP Envy 15 notebook PC C8P47AV: black screen on laptop and also when I connect to monitor

When I turn on my laptop I can see only a black screen.  I don't quite see the HP logo.  The hard drive seems to be spinninge I can hear the fan and the lights on the wireless and the caps lock are functional; believe so everything works well except the video.  I tried to connect to a monitor via HDMI, but you still get black screen after trying the F4 key.  There is no beep codes or the upcoming diagnostic lights.  Before I lost the video, I had taken the laptop fan because there was a message that he did not work properly.  Turned out a screw was stuck in there.  I removed the screw and replace the fan in.  Everything closed and turned on the laptop - no video.  I tried to re-seating the RAM.  Basically, I would like to see if people think it's the motherboard or the video chip that is the question; in this case, I'm going to buy a new laptop because motherboard costs about $200.  Also if anyone knows if there is a diagnosis of material that I could run that might give some beep codes.  I think that Dell has something where you hold D down and power on the phone to start the diagnostics.  Full disclosure this laptop fell a few times as well, so this problem can only await the right time appear.

    @gman2,

Hello and thanks for the display on the HP support forums.  If you can, nothing appears on the screen or enter the bios at all this means you have a hardware problem.  You will need to contact the HP support by phone for repair at this point.

  • DV7-1210eo Black Screen with CPU and graphic Error Codes

I'm running out of ideas on how repair this laptop so I thought I would ask here. Like so many other people with these portable mine seemed to go right after my warranty expires. I went to power on one day and he presented that a directed graph code error with a black screen. Instead of trying to fix the original slide myself I thought it would be best to just replace it. After the new Board of Directors came and I reassembled it all has been great to work for a few days. I went to power on one morning and he presented the same graphics code error as before. I then reset and tried again, but this time that he gave me the CPU error instead, after 15 seconds or later he would begin to switch between error a CPU and graphics. I assumed that the jury who sent was defective, so I sent a replacement. Once the replacement card has been installed it would always give me the same errors, sometimes it would be the graphics and other CPU.

I was told the jury that I sent worked great and replacement has been tested before it was sent, it even came with the results of the tests to check. I tried to replace the CPU and memory with a work known and same notebook AC adapter, which does not seem to help.

If anyone has any idea as to what could be the problem I would be acknowledging the entry.

    Thank you

I want to just update to anyone who seems to have the same problems as me.

I finally had time to replace the CPU and specifications works fine now. It seems the controller memory on the old CPU came out and was causing memory to not be detected properly and causing graphic errors. Before you spend money on a new motherboard, you may want to consider the processor as the problem.

Now if only I can figure out how to keep it from cooking itself...

    Thanks for all the help,

    Domo

  • Black screen with Win7 and view 4.5

I'm having a problem that seems to have started last week, where all THE updates of my office to see back with a black screen.  This is my environment and what is happening.  I have 1 Server ESXi, VMware ESXi 4.1.0 348481, 1 connection to the server running and running my server to transfer all view 4.5.  I have not applied the update 4.6 yet because I use experimental Cisco Thin Clients and am waiting for the go ahead.

Last week my environment doing something really weird.  I started to Delete my VM after that disconnection and having the system re-create them.  It seems to work very well, but the updates are a problem.  I've been trying to upgrade to the latest version of the tools and then install the agent from 4.5 view.  Everything comes back to the top very well, I take my shot, apply it to the pool, and then choose to rekey.  After recomposing the said system work stations have been rebuilt and are ready to use.  When I try to connect through PCoIP, I get a black screen.  The only thing that fixes it is a restart.  I tried with the client software and customers of equipment without success.

The problem is mainly on the laboratory machines that the system removes and reconstructs after each session is closed.  Until I manually reboot each workstation, they are sitting there with a screen black if I update with a new snapshot.  Any idea on how to solve this problem?

    Joe

Seems that the key here is your secondary reboot. Somewhere in your Master image creation you are missing a restart and Setup / driver does not.

A symptom of the black screen is 99.9%, always related to the driver problem. You just need to make sure you installed successfully with reboots

I recommend the following to a master image

    Installation / update - OS / applications

    Install / update - Tools

    Reset

Install / update - discover the Agent

    Reset

    Test connectivity

    Cleaning

    Shutdown

  • HPE140F pc - game crash/screen black screen mode 'sleep' and more problems

I recently bought an HP computer refurbished not even 2 weeks ago: HPE140F

While playing world of Warcraft, the screen goes black and the screen goes into sleep mode.  There is also a strong buzz.

In addition, the CPU fan makes a lot of noise.

I contacted HP customer service and they couldn't help me.  They said to talk to a technician level 2, I would have to PAY for the service.

This is completely ridiculous.  I want a solution or this pos is going back to the store.

I am a customer very very unhappy.  Poor service, defective PC, nothing but problems.

You can mark this resolved.  I was ready to pack the PC up, when I remembered I had bought a video card Geforce 9 Series several months ago and never installed in my old computer.  I took a chance and installed in the HP.  Voila!  The machine now runs like a dream.  No noise noisy fan and he's playing my favorite games in 3D spectacular I contacted HP support and they conceed that it was probably a defective video card (I checked on the WOW forums, several people have played the game fine with the GeForce GT 230 and had no problems).  I'll send it in an Exchange and will try on my old pc I always around.

I will be in part with positive feedback, update of the card in the HP was extremely easy, indeed with the opening of the case the entire seemed well organized and easily extensible.  I plan to get a power of 500W Rocketfish and Im happy that it will be an easy installation.

    Thank you all!

    Keep in-game!

  • Inspiron M5030 black screen at startup

As the topic says, when I boot my dell Inspiron M5030, I just get a black screen, no beep and yes I have connected externally on a monitor without success. It was working fine a few days ago, I stopped and went to bed, got up the next day and it started. The power led lights up, the HARD drive light turns on and blinks so I know that something is written or read from the HARD disk, but I don't get the POST screen that says DELL or anything... Just a white screen. I would say that is the back light but the screen has a white tint to it and to my knowledge it is the backlight on the screen.

I checked the RAM, HARD drive, etc. Check that it has been placed correctly yet.
I removed the MOBO battery hoping to reset the CMOS to maybe get a kind of screen, but this resulted in the 'time Off system' (5 beeps) beeps but they stopped after a reboot.

What I ended up doing was remove the heatsink from the CPU and video chip and they had as a rubber stamp on that foam.  I removed that and put thermal paste and it works fine.  Sometimes if I use it everyday the screen may start off dead zone but up to now no more beeps at startup.  If you do what I suggested before it won't hurt her, but I recommend to do what I explained in this post, after get you to the top and running.  I would like to know how it works.
