Black screen when I turn on the computer, press F1 and error message: disk hard imminent failure

Original title: crash is immediate please help

When I turn on my computer laptop black screen saying I have to press F1 to continue, it says after that... disk failure hard immenent what can I do besides spend more than 200. OO, I don't?

Hello

Chances are the hard drive failed, but it could be wiring or other materials.

Check with the system manufacturer's support, their documentation online and ask in their forums
(if any). Most have instructions to replace the hard drive.

You can usually buy a hard drive for alternatives for less than $100,00 and maybe much less. Or the other
get the same one or the same size.  System manufacturers usually several models if you
the same can buy cheaper. And there will be others who are of the same size and type which
can be used. Your local computer store can help select an appropriate player.

Here is an example of how to replace the hard drive on some HP computers for example. Most
other manufacturers are similar, and there are many generic examples on the internet.

HP - replace a laptop hard drive

I hope this helps.

    I run an xp windows 2003-04. My computer does not start completely and if I click on debug or put end to the program there just restarts the computer. How can I solve this problem? and is it possible that I can update my software?

    You say that you can not even start in Safe Mode, so method 1 will not help you, method 2 will not help you and 3 method will not help you.

    I start in the XP Recovery Console and first run a chkdsk/r on the afflicted system, but since we don't know anything about your system, we will need more information.

    It is a shame that in the forums MS Answers, the first response to a new question is (or should be) a request for more information...  You are 5 days in your problem, and so for him it seems that you are not getting anywhere.  If the thread goes inactive for more than a few days, the response of the Microsoft Support Engineer will become the 'response' automatically because it has links to the KB articles.

    Since the Microsoft Answers forum does not have any kind of information system request when a new question is asked, we know absolutely nothing about your system.  Not knowing the basic information a problem prolongs the frustration and the agony of these issues.

    Thank you MS Answers, allowing the resolution of simple problems as frustrating and a lot of time as possible.

    Provide information on your system, the better you can:

    What is your system brand and model?

    What is your Version of XP and the Service Pack?

    Your system have IDE or SATA disks?

    Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Symantec, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, MSE, Panda, Trend Micro, CA, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, Comodo, etc..

    The question was preceded by a loss of power, aborted reboot or abnormal termination?  (this includes the plug pulling, buttons power, remove the battery, etc.)

    The afflicted system has a working CD/DVD (internal or external) drive?

    You have a genuine XP installation CD bootable, which is the same Service as your installed Service Pack (this is not the same as any recovery CD provided with your system)?

    If the system works, what do you think might have changed since the last time it did not work properly?

  • When I turn on the computer, I get this message - COM + Event System has stopped working. How can I activate this return?

    I had virus protection total defence installed. This occurred immediately after.

    Hello

    Thanks for your answer to my question. I was about to start step 2, by performing a boot minimum when a message pops up informing that 2 programs were slowing down my computer and also to stop because they were also running. Ironically, these programs I've ever used has appeared on my computer advertising protection against viruses and to speed up the computer.

    I did not purchase the license if it comes to start up all the 3 or 4 days telling me that my computer is slow.

    I uninstalled both programs, which I won't mention for obvious reasons and the event system Com + message did not return after the computer has restarted 3 times. Apparently, the problem has been resolved, but I will continue to have oversight. If the problem returns I'll restart and inform you about the results.  Thanks again for your expertise. guavaridgemb

    Thanks for posting your question in the Microsoft Community.

    I understand that when you turn on the computer, you get an error message indicating that COM + has event system stopped working. Correct me if I'm wrong.

    I imagine the inconvenience that you are experiencing. I will certainly help the question of fixing.

    Please follow the steps and check the question below:

    Step 1:

    Check the event viewer for the logs of error from the links below.

    Open Event Viewer:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/open-Event-Viewer

    What are the information in event logs? (Event Viewer):

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/what-information-appears-in-event-logs-Event-Viewer

    Step 2:

    You need to perform a clean boot to prevent any third party conflicting application from interfering with your computer.

    To put the computer in a clean boot state, you must follow the steps in the article mentioned below and check with the question.

    How to perform a clean boot for a problem in Windows Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 8:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

    Note: You must follow step 3 of the article mentioned above to recover your computer to a Normal startup after you complete all the steps.

    Step 3:

    Scan your computer by using the Microsoft Safety Scanner by clicking Download now to check if there is no virus infected:

    http://www.microsoftsafetyscanner.com/

    Note: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

    Your response is very important for us to ensure a proper resolution. Please get back to us with the information above to help you accordingly.

  • White screen when I turn on the Satellite M50

    I have intermittently just get a white screen when I turn on the computer. Usually, the problem is solved by turning off the computer and try again - but sometimes I get a white screen again.

    It seems to be linked to the use of external devices - can someone give me clear instructions on which expected/doesn't have to be connected when I start and shut down the computer? Or other suggested solutions?

    Thank you

    Hi Rachel

    Believe me; It's not easy to provide an exact solution and that's why we need to study a little ;)

    Have you checked if the graphics card driver update could solve the white screen issue?
    If not, try to download and install the latest graphics driver

    You second question on the laptop stop problems is known to me. Sometimes it happens on my laptop too. The LTCC is a part of the Norton antivirus application, which is still running in the background of the operating system.
    This strange box "close the program" might appear because this context process couldn t be closed automatically and so the operating system can not stop.

    Especially the new application installation might help you. But why don't you use Norton Antivirus? What makes the laptop very slow. I have used this app for a long time but now I use the freeware program called Antivir. Its free and in my opinion much better than the Norton Antivirus.

  • Alienware x 51 r3 crashed to the Alienware logo screen when I turn on my computer first time every day.

    My new r3 Alienware x 51 will not start windows when I turn the first time on the computer in daily life.
    When the Alienware logo is displayed on the screen, the computer will not load. (No loading cycle appears under the alienware logo). Then the screen becomes black. Keyboard and mouse lights are turned off. Some time, the screen becomes blue background of windows, then the loading cycle does not work any time more and some, the screen has crashed on the Welcome screen of win 10. However, when I turn off the computer and start again immediately. It works normally. If I switech it off and then start it about 2 hours later, the computer will crash again. Every day the first time to activate it, I have to run it twice.

    I used Dell diagnostic software to search the computer, everything is OK. But it's my second X R3 51 during this period of a month. The last graphics card problem, I switched to this one. But the other also has the same problem. Therefore, in my view, it is that my other hardware problem? I connect a keboard Corsair K95 RGB, G502 mouse, joystick Thrustmaster and a saitek rudder. I used a USB 1 4 adapter to connect some of them. The X 51 system is widows 10. I've also used these materials with a X 51 R2 two years previous. Never encounter this problem.

    Got my X R3 51 in December. All of us have had this problem of gel. I "think" what fixed my X 51 R3 rose dating drivers for Intel hardware. Download and run Iobit Drive Booster or snail Majorgeeks.com driver and see if it helps.

    ATTENTION:

    If you use Iobit Drive Booster, uncheck download AdvancedSystem care before installing the Booster Drive. AdvanceSystem Care blocks every time my hard drive.

  • When I turn on the computer, it does not show my office. It comes up with a white screen

    Original title: bad start.

    On May 15, 2013, I was prompted to download 8 updates from Microsoft. Since then when I turn on the computer, it does not show my office. It comes with a white screen. The only way to see the desktop is at the stop 'wrong' to turn off the power to the computer. Then I reboot, it just asking if I want to boot up normally, I say Yes and all is well on the office. Seems related to downloads of May 15, 2013. Any ideas?

    Hello

    Method 1:

    I suggest you to select last known good Configuration in Windows Advanced options and check if it works.

    To do this:

    a. restart the computer and press the F8 key for about four to five times.

    b. you will see the that last known good Configuration in the Advanced Windows options.

    c. Select last known good Configuration and press enter.

    Method 2:

    See the article and check if that helps:

    What to do if Windows does not start correctly

    For more protection, use System Restore backup and restore, which is designed to help save email, photos, documents and other personal files.

    Note: when checking your drive hard for errors, if bad sectors are found, it tries to repair this sector and if all the available data may be lost.

    Hi Cjdaniello,

    ·         Did you do changes on the computer before the show?

    Follow the suggestions below for a possible solution:

    Step 1: Start in safe mode and check if the problem persists.

    Start your computer in safe mode

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

    Step 2: If the problem does not occur in safe mode, you can put your system to boot (in normal mode) to solve the problem.

    How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

  • Start-up problems: I have a black screen when I log in the menu

    When I start my computer, I get a black screen when I log in the menu. I can still access the computer on safe mode, but I can't find a solution. Antivirus Avira found no detection, so I don't think that's associated virus.

    Follow these steps to try to solve your problems of boot.

    Restore point:

    Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

    Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

    Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    If restore work not and you do not have a Vista DVD from Microsoft, do a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:
    Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.
    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.
    When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.
    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial148.html
    Link above shows what the process looks like and a manual, it load the repair options.
    NeoSmart containing the content of the Windows Vista DVD 'Recovery Centre', as we refer to him. It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and is just a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.
